And, if like me, you go in the day before it auto bills again because you have other things to do, you get told you're getting billed another month because you cancelled 24 hours ahead and not 48. Like it fuckin matters to them, like that in any way inconveniences a walk in clinic that literally does not take appointments. Bull. Shit. Same reason you got to go in person to cancel and can't over the phone, it's a rip off that sells you on affordability up front then hooks you so it's hard to get out of it. They are preying on your schedule making it hard to cancel. Don't ever darken the doorway of this crap. read more

I went in to cancel my account with them due to traveling schedule but they said I could pause it instead, and start it again when ready. They started charging me again with no notice. They normally send emails saying you haven't been into the office in 15 days, 21 days, etc - but they didn't send me any notifications when they randomly restarted my account. This made me feel like this is an intentional tactic they use. I was very disappointed in the lack of communication. They have lost a client and I will tell everyone who mentions chiropractors in the future. read more

I use to love going to The Joint, but needed to find something to better fit my lifestyle and the care I needed. I canceled with the West Ashely location in October of 2020 ( they even have my last visit on their records), but can't seem to find the cancellation document that I 100% went into the location to sign. I have had a membership at The Joint in NC and know that you must go in and sign a document to cancel your membership. I had my membership on auto draft on my flex spending card through work and I was NOT charged for November or December 2020. So in my mind, it was canceled. Fast forward to the present day... I went to use my Flex spending card and it was declined, which is impossible. When I called to figure everything out, I have been charged $69.00 every month from Jan 2021 to the present day (totaling) $1449.00. They claimed my card was declined, and they sent me 2 emails to say, "We haven't seen you in 15 days". I never received these emails and I still haven't received anything after I requested this information. I spoke to Lauren at the front desk 4 times now requesting a call from management...nothing. Jenna from accounting called me to offer 20 visits, which is laughable. You would think after a customer doesn't show up for months, someone would call instead of continuing to collect money for a year and 9 months. read more

I went to see them because my normal Chiropractor was out of town. I did not wait long and had significant relief from the initial treatment. Their business model is walk in only, no insurance. I signed up (paid) for a package of visits. DON'T DO IT. Every time I attempted to have a treatment the wait time has been an hour or more. The clerk did make an amusing and somewhat sarcastic suggest that I could wait or go to the Summerville location. The Summerville location is 20-30 minutes each way, plus they don't provide wait times over the phone. So the treatments I paid for die on the vine because I was unable to use them, thus that one visit was super expensive. I am returning to Charleston Chiropractic. Dr. Workman is alway on time with appointments and works me in if needed. PS: NO REFUNDS read more

I had a bad experience and reached out to the owner who promptly terminated my account without asking me, acted like a child and now refuses to refund me for the month I've already paid for. This guy is a crook. Don't give these people your money. They give subpar service half the time. I will he reporting them to the BBB. read more

Came to town for a long weekend. My back was already giving me trouble and after my first night in town, I knew I needed an adjustment. I was in alot of pain and i knew my spine was pretty much out of alignment. Saw the sign for The Joint when we drove into town so I told my husband I would like to go there. Dr. Jason Argo was on duty and he gave me a very thorough adjustment and explained to me all the details about the different plans available. The first visit was 29.00 which was far below my copay with my insurance. I will look for The Joint when I get back home to Florida. As I stated, the only form I did not sign was the form stating I had consulted with the Doctor and am consenting to the service. I've been a member of the Joint since October 2015. I mainly attend the Mount Pleasant location but sometimes attend here since its next to my gym. The atmosphere provided of the staff is unwelcoming. Rarely do the greet you. The doctor doesn't speak to me during our session. He is rather forceful in moving you to the position he wants. He never explains why he is doing a correction nor does he ever give any suggestions on things I can do for improvement. Not to mention, if you come in during a lunch or dinner hour-he won't work until he is finished eating! No matter how many people are here! I understand his line of work doesn't necessarily allow him to go on a lunch break but when people come during these and they wait 20 minutes because you need to finish a salad, it doesn't represent time efficiency or respect for the customer. read more

I first stumbled upon The Joint because I have been looking for affordable chiropractic care that my husband and I can afford but our insurance will not cover. This is the place ladies and gentlemen! So when we walked in, You are immediately greeted by the front desk with a friendly and smiling face! The moment you walk in here at The Joint West Ashely, it is beautiful and relaxing. What's great is that they do not accept insurance but it was affordable enough for both my husband to hop on the family plan they offer and you don't have to make an appointment and you can walk in whenever it's convenient for the patients! So we were guided by the Wellness Consultant who was super friendly and informative. All we had to do was full out 4 simple pages of paperwork and within 10 minutes we met the Clinic Director/ Chiropractor Dr. Argo. I still can't believe it was that simple to be seen and adjusted. He was able to see us both at the same time, but gave us both individual evaluations . He was really nice and easy going and great to talk to! He adjusted us from head to toe! We really feel very lucky to meet such a thorough doctor who really paid attention to both our needs. My husband and I hopped on the one of the family plans they offer and with the membership we are able to use any Joint around the nation. But we both are comfortable with Dr. Argo and plan to stick with him. :) . We are really fortunate to have found this place, that has great service a relaxing spa feel with wonderful care, friendly staff and last but not least of one of the most thorough doctors who is wonderful to chat with and genuinely cares about our health and well being!! read more

what a neat place. dr argo was the best. we got there when the business opened and the dr greeted us warmly at the door. my wife had been suffering from a sore and swollen neck, super painful. after filling out 4 simple forms, we watched a short video that gave us an understanding of the procedures, then my wife had a personal interview with the dr. Then she was adjusted. she felt almost instant relief! afterwards the dr made some recommendations on how to proceed with future treatments and we left. wonderful and affordable service. also for your reading enjoyment the rest room was immaculate! thought i forgot huh? give them a try you wont be disappointed. read more

BEWARE! The billing is more like a gym membership than a doctor's office. You are billed monthly even if you don't go. I bought a package for $59 that included 4 visits to be used within a month. I did this for 2 months but didn't see any improvement so I stopped going. They continued to bill my health savings card for another 3 months before I realized it. I thought this was a DOCTOR'S OFFICE - NOT a GYM Membership. I was NOT told about this "membership" but it was in the paperwork that I signed (it was explained among the multiple pages I was given to fill out and sign at my first visit but I didn't notice it). I would rather go to a REAL doctors office where my insurance will cover the visits and I only pay for what I receive! The staff up front leaves a lot to be desired as well! She stayed in the back talking on the phone rather than helping people. read more

Having left my previous much-beloved chiropractor of 15 years due to a move, I found myself in desperate need of an adjustment. I have suffered from back and hip pain ever since I began sitting at a desk for 9 hours a day at work. Ive received chiropractic care before but needed something quick and affordable. Thank goodness for The Joint! The office was very clean and comfortable, the paperwork was quick, and I can go to any Joint clinic in the country without doing the paperwork again! The membership plan is also very affordable and allows me to get regular adjustments. Working in insurance, I know how difficult it can be for them to pay, and many plans don't even cover chiropractic! West Ashley # 08009 I began going to the Joint for as-needed treatment in January. So far I have been treated on Mondays with the rotating Dr. Cooper on the 11th and 18th. I went in today 2/6/16 I waited for my turn with the regular chiropractor Jason Argo of whom I had not met yet. Jason Argo called me back. I took my coat off and turned around stuck out my hand to formally introduce myself. He quickly asked what was going on with me and I described what my chiropractic needs were. He responded with how I needed to come in once a week . I said I understood and asked if he had looked at my file because I have been coming in once a week. He responded with yes and but why I have not become a member. I said because it was my preference to pay as I go. He responded it would save me money. In my mind I could not believe he was pushing this subject of membership and my finances instead of respecting my decision and focusing on my care at that moment. On top of that the receptionist also pushes signing a membership. I said please do not tell me how to spend my money its my choice. His response was "Thats how we do things". I picked up my coat put it back on and excused myself. As I walked out Jason Argo said in a sarcastic tone "good luck with your back". As a doctor their duty is patient care. Jason Argo did not put my care first he placed pushing a membership and telling me how to spend my money over my care. My experience with Jason Argo will prevent me for every going back. His attitude and interaction with me was completely unprofessional. read more
