Bizarre treatment from one of the chiropractors in particular nearly every time- gets visibly annoyed and rude if you don't need to come in twice weekly. Ultimately I found another practice that takes x-rays for more informed adjustments, doesn't push more visits than necessary, and am overall receiving much better care now... without the odd guilt trips. read more

This was my first time at The Joint. I was told as soon as I walked in I had to fill our paperwork in my car ... but I was the only one in there ! But when I can back in the girl at the front allowed 4 people ( white ) to stay in the office and fill out paperwork... I'm black and had to go out to my car !!! No more than 5 people in the office at a time ... but 7 people where in there and nothing was said ... I have not been adjusted as of yet and will do a follow up .... after that but as of right now I am not impressed with this place and I made an appointment and two people walked in and they took them before me without an appointment.... I not one to call out a business for racist practices but they are boarder line ...... I'm sad I really wanted to like this place .... read more

So far so good! This was my first visit to this location and to a chiropractor in general. I chose this business due to the high ratings and convenience of walking in and getting seen. The first visit is $29 exactly. You get an examination and an adjustment with the doctor. I saw Dr. Lewis and she was very informative, knowledgeable, and kind. Starting the exam, she had me perform different tasks to see my body in motion. She told me various things as she was inspecting. Some of the things she told me were not new or unexpected, but enlightening. She mentioned several things that I was able to confirm quickly with my past medical history. It was comforting knowing that what she was saying aligned true to what I've experienced (wearing a knee brace as a child due to hips widening as one example). She called those items out so easily. For the adjustment, I told her this was my first time at a chiropractor and was generally nervous as I was not sure what to expect. She let me watch her adjust another patient before starting mine and walked thru everything as she was performing the adjustment on me so that I was comfortable. After everything, she mentioned a stretch for me to work on for my hips. She also suggested I continue treatment for a few weeks to help get me aligned properly. There was totally no pressure to sign up or join. I will be visiting this location again because Dr. Lewis hit my issues head on. I was absolutely surprised that someone could look at my body and tell these issues so quickly with suggestions on helping. Highly recommend! read more

I was a loyal client of this chiropractor up until just a few minutes ago. When I signed up for the monthly plan, I was told that I'd have 4 visits each month. A yesterday (July 1), I visited the chiropractor for an adjustment, and I was surprised to see an extra charge for that visit. When I inquired, I was told that the month goes from the 2nd to the 2nd, which was not the way I understood. This lie was the last straw, but I'd had other minor issues with reception in the past that I was willing to overlook. I promptly cancelled my subscription and won't be back. When I've gotten adjustments, they've been fine. The lack of standardization between locations and chiropractors within the same location can be a good thing or bad thing depending on what you need, want, or are used to. I just called to make an appointment, but a doctor wasn't there, so they're closed. I was told that I could book an appointment for tomorrow and MAY get a call to confirm...if a doctor shows up. Not sure what that's about, but my money is taken every month like clockwork, and I'd appreciate if a doctor was there on days they're supposed to be open! I was very much so looking forward to getting an adjustment. I went to The Joint Chiropractic, and I was expecting to have to fill out a new patient form, but I have bad vision and was having a hard time filling out the form because the font is extremely small. I went to the front desk to ask for some help. The lady at the front desk told me to have my friends that had suggested the place and were already in the back, fill it out. Ok, not a problem but not 2 minutes later she struck up a conversation with a patient that lasted 5 or more minutes. Time enough to chat but not help patients. Very rude service at a medical office. I only heard the Doctors are good. Had to go to Planet Fitness to sit in the message chair. read more

In more pain now than when I walked in! So Im road tripping from Cali to Ohio to visit family. I stopped in earlier in the week and got a quick adjustment and was great. Not sure who the guy I saw was but he was great. Well i stopped in again on a Saturday (8/26) and saw the bald chiropractor there. I don't know his name, I just know he was bald. He knew I was from out of town and was headed back on the road to Cali the very next day, I told him what adjustment gives me the most relief for my lower back (i have chronic back pain as I have spinal stenosis, i have to get adjustments every week). Well he did his adjustments and did a different version of the main one I come in for which when he did it, I had no pops down my spine. Which i had told him, when I get those pops that's when I get relief...THE ONLY WAY I GET RELIEF. And his response was "oh well sometimes you don't always get those pops" i told him again that i needed it because that's the only time my pain goes away. He told me to come back in next week, which i reminded him i can't because I'm headed back to Cali the very next day and will be on the road for about 8 days for my road trip. So he came back over to the adjustment bed and did a different adjustment. (didn't do what i had asked) And i didn't feel any better at all which i told him and he didn't respond so i just said thanks and left. But I'm in way more pain now than I was when i walked in! It's 1am right now as I'm in bed writing this, because i can't sleep because of my back pain. And now I can't be seen by someone because I'll be out in the middle of nowhere camping on my way back to Cali. I'm so mad I didn't make him redo my adjustment. I also had to drive an hour from Medway (where I'm staying) all the way to blue ash which I also had to wait 45 mins to be seen. I DO NOT recommend the bald chiropractor. HE DOESNT LISTEN read more

Originally, I discovered The Joint Chiropractic some time last year. I was so excited to know I could get chiropractic services for such a cheap price. I decided last year to buy one of their packages so I could receive several visits for an inexpensive cost. With these packages, you have to maintain them for minimum two months before cancelling. Right at the two month mark I cancelled due to going to consistent visits and being disappointed every single time. Fast forward to today, I was experiencing sharp neck pain that came out the blue. It was imperative that I seek help because the pain felt unbearable. Although I had a poor experience with The Joint Chiropractic previously, I decided to re-visit today to have my neck pain somewhat relieved. What a mistake! First, I called twice to make sure they were open....no one picks up. I decide to drive over there just to be sure if they are closed or not. I arrive and they are open. I found it weird no one picked up the phone if they were open. Anyway, I walk in and the first thing I see (and smell) is Dr. Taryn Lewis eating a sandwich at the front desk. Whatever she was eating smelled gross and I pondered on why she was stuffing her face at the front desk rather than in the back? I walk to the front desk lady, Emma, and she was so kind and polite. I ask if there are any single visits available and there were. Within a couple minutes (once Taryn was done stuffing her face) I was able to walk to the back It was apparent Dr.Taryn had a terrible attitude. Talk about being short and snappy! While she asked me questions about the pain I was experiencing, she seemed like she did not want to be at her workplace at all. She expressed herself with such a rude tone. When it came to alignments, she only did 3 people...one side of my back, my mid back and then my neck. The alignments were so useless. She literally took 6 minutes to do all of them. The main reason I came in was to relieve my neck pain. Once she was done, I told Dr. Taryn that my neck pain was still very evident. Can you guess how she replied? "I am not a miracle worker." Yes people, the chiropractor whose job is to relieve pain basically told me there is nothing more she can do about my neck pain. Ridiculous, I know. I walked out with 40 dollars less in my bank account and the same amount of neck pain from before. I deserve a refund. It seems like I paid for Dr. Taryn nasty attitude and smelly sandwich aroma rather than the pain relief I was searching for. DO NOT GO HERE. Make sure you call ahead to see if they can make time , especially if your a first time patient. The entire website promotes no appointment needed , email they sent says no appointment needed. So i was a little confused/irritated to be told when i walked in as they first opened that they didnt have time to see me , since i was a 1st time patient. Maybe there should be something listed on the website or email they send denoting that little fact. read more

I walked in to see Dr Lewis the first time with terrible low back pain. Literally in tears and could barely walk. I had never seen a chiropractor before and wasn't sure what to expect. I thought I had pulled a muscle, until my leg and foot went numb, at which time I realized more was going on. My first adjustment was extensive and I thought I may not be able to get off the table, but I did and my pain was cut in half! I've learned to obey the rules (home exercise program, stretches, use of massage ball for muscle tightness) and I wouldn't trade Dr Lewis' expertise for the world. I went to this clinic to get relief in my shoulder. Having delt with chiropractic issues for several years, I knew what needed adjusted and what would being relief to severe pain I was having. The doctor in the clinic tried to massage the issue away. I explained I was still in pain and the issue was not resolved. He would not give me the adjustment I needed. Now I have this sleepless night and another until my regular chiropractor is open Monday. This was a wasted trip across town of time and money and absolutely no relief. read more

Dr. Taryn Lewis, D.C. is a great doctor. I am visiting from Las Vegas and was worried about the quality of the doctors at this location. At first touch I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Lewis knowingly probed my back, hip and neck finding the troubled spots like iron to a magnet. She stretched and pulled me, questioning me the whole time. Then with great care and learned experience she adjusted my problem areas. She is very kind and personable, and you can tell she cares by her actions and touch. Also Dr. Brian Mouch, D.C. cycles through. He was the first doctor I saw on my first visit. After my tons driving through he instantly saw how my neck and hip were shifted from a long long drive and put my system back to where the recovery could start. I highly recommend these doctors and this location. After 3 weeks of visiting this location, I am sure gonna miss these people. Needless to say, the staff is great too. read more

The people here are super nice, the doctor is very helpful, and the prices are an amazing deal. This was my first time ever going to a chiropractor. I had severe back pain from my job. Medication wasn't working, and I needed to go back to work. First session, and I was almost completely painless, just a little sore. I went back the next day and had another adjustment, even better. The doctor is very helpful with giving information about what was going on with my back, and she was very understanding of my needs.
