If you blink you will miss this location. It's a bit smaller than other allocations I've visited but has a nice charm. Parking is limited. The receptionist was very nice. I only visited this location because of Dr. Bigoms. I normally go to the Tucker location but due to the holidays I missed my regular day. You get what you pay for. The staff is great, professional, and friendly, but they do the same adjustment technique every time for about 4 mins. I developed back pain that was not there before I started coming here. I decided to come here because it was close to my home and I felt like frequent adjustments could do me some good. Well...NOT! In the past my visits to The Joint were okay. But, I felt every alignment was exactly the same, no matter where you went. Recently, Dr Ross joined the Decatur location. She is the first chiropractor who adjusts her treatment based on your symptoms. I immediately noticed a difference in pain relief and cognitive cloudiness. And the fact that both her and her receptionist are so nice is a plus. Love this duo and hope they're here for a long time to come. read more

I arrived to get an adjustment for me and my daughter and to cancel my agreement with The Joint. There was one person already getting adjusted and one waiting. Then it was my daughter and I waiting. While waiting two more folks arrived. Two NEW folks (women and man)came the office. The man asked the lady upfront how many folks are in front of him. She told him four. The Joint is a great place to go especially when your insurance doesn't cover chiropractic care. Dr. Kibo and Dr. Luis are my favorites at this location. They fully adjust me and I always walk out better than when I walked in. They ask questions and give helpful recommendations on what you should do to better improve your body and get rid of the pain. I've followed most of their suggestions since I started coming to them and my body feels so much better. From sleeping on a different pillow, to taking different supplements, and even incorporating mor stretching, foam rolling and massages in my routine - I don't have any of the same pain as I had before. I love chiropractors - they are special people with special skills and if you're having pain in your body I highly suggest you add it to your routine. It's super affordable - for only $69 per month for 4 adjustments I definitely feel like I'm getting well beyond my money's worth. The only thing I would be aware of is they sometimes have other doctors in here who may be just starting out or rotating in different places and they sometimes aren't as great or they haven't mastered adjusting just yet. !!!EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WITH THIS LOCATION!!! SCAM AND FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES WHICH HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO FTC Please, PLEASE, be careful with this franchise The Joint. Both its staff and owner Joe Burum, conduct fraudulent and misleading sales tactics in regard to their "Wellness Plan." They have a system in place, that you need to research into yourself prior to visiting any location as it's a common compliant towards The Joint, where they push a "wellness plan" onto pre-chiropractic patients. - This plan was explained to be 3 visits for $108, without a subscription or recurring charges. HERE IS THE SCAM: - My wife confirmed with the attendant during her visit that the wellness plan would not be a recurring charge. This employee was very clear that there would not be recurring charges. - My wife was presented with a tiny document on a tablet to sign. The document was not legible and so she confirmed again with the attendant that this was a one-time charge and not recurring. The attendant confirm that information again. - My wife only ever visited the Joint twice out of the 3 time plan she thought she was on. Fast forward 7 months and we realize the Joint has ben charging us monthly. They send us a pdf copy of the "wellness plan," and of course we were scammed into signing up for a subscription service. The scam is that the document was illegible (the joint of course will claim that "she didn't read it," WHICH IS TRUE BECAUSE IT WAS ILLEGIBLE). In summary, my wife and I have been charged a total of $600 over 7 months in unused membership fees prior to realizing we were on a recurring bill. Why a chiropractor clinic would have a recurring payment is beyond me, and clearly represents a system where the establishments primary financial goal is to achieve this membership fee from any customer using any tactic. After speaking with condescending and insulting staff at this location, then trying speaking with the non-communicative manager, and then finally the "owner" Joe, I was informed that they would accept zero responsibility for what has occurred, and suggested perhaps that my wife was to blame for not reading or understanding their fraudulent contract. An interesting addition is, while Joe was adamant to deny responsibility, he offered me 2 months of the membership back as a refund. THIS IS HALLMARK FRAUD, and represents a business that conducts itself under the assumption that if it rips off enough people, and gives back paltry amounts to those that complain, it will be able to skirt scrutiny. My hope is that nobody EVER engages with this business. Joe owns 9 other The Joints in Atlanta by his own admission, and it can be assumed that the same tactics I've described above apply to his franchise roster in totality. Honest Review. Dr U is the best chiropractor before it was dr kebo. Im in school full time & a truck driver. I been coming to this location for 3 years now. The service is always good & the receptionist is always respectful. Most times I'm in their & out. Some weekends there busy but i just go to the smoothie bar cross the st & wait. They have another male chiropractor a tall Caucasian man he needs to work on applying more pressure so he can get the cracks. idk if he scared or what but he has to do better. SCAM AND FRAUD. Update on how you can take action if you have been scammed by them: Check out Better Business Bureau, they are rated F. Check out their own employee's Glassdoor reviews. Check out the class action lawsuit and the report that is the basis of that lawsuit (linked at end), where the report "uncovered dozens of complaints concerning overbilling, forged transactions, and other misconduct," noting that customers "specifically told them I just wanted one treatment but conceded into buying the package to get something started, and never once did the receptionist mention she was selling me a subscription contract that would bill me every month," or the customer that "specifically told them I just wanted one treatment but conceded into buying the package to get something started, and never once did the receptionist mention she was selling me a subscription contract that would bill me every month." Check out Pissed Customer, 88% negative reviews. It is a scam. They literally steal your money. If you give them your credit card information, they will steal from you. Period. if you have been scammed by them, take action. File a complaint with the FTC. File a complaint with the BBB. Make real reviews on Google, Yelp, or wherever. Contact your local paper. Contact your state representative.  I visited The Joint Chiropractic - Decatur location in July of 2022 for a one-time $29 consultation/visit. When I arrived the person at the desk recommended that I sign up for their wellness plan, which was for 3 visits for a set price. In total, the 3 visits would cost $108. I confirmed with the person at the desk that these would not be recurring charges to my credit card or a subscription. She confirmed. She asked me to sign off on the wellness plan, which was an illegible document on a tablet (the print was tiny and on a digital screen). Since I could make out the print I again asked for confirmation that there would not be recurring charges or a subscription, and she again confirmed. I only ended up using 2 visits out of the 3 I thought I signed up for. Unfortunately, we only realized we were getting monthly charges of $80 in February 2023, so we had been receiving unauthorized monthly charges from the Joint from August 2022 through February 2023. When I reached out to the Joint they emailed me the wellness plan document, which as a PDF was actually legible and apparently, I had signed up for a subscription against my knowledge and against what they had verbally told me. The records show I only visited the Joint 2 times, which aligns with my understanding of what I was told I was signing up for. In summary, I explicitly stated I did not want to receive recurring charges or be on a subscription. The document provided to me was not legible. The attendant confirmed verbally that I would not be on a subscription or receive recurring charges, but apparently, the illegible document contained a subscription service. This is in violation of federal and state law, including Georgia Code Title 51 - Torts. Chapter 6 - Fraud and Deceit. § 51-6-2. Furthermore, this is in violation of the FTC, who ruled in a policy statement in October of 2021 that "marketers must obtain express informed consent before enrollment" and must "disclose clearly and conspicuously all material items related to the service or product" related to subscriptions. We tried to obtain refunds from the Joint for the unauthorized charges between August 2022 and February 2023, to the amount of $553, but they will not issue refunds. Other customers have documented issues with their service with the BBB and online reviews. Beware, this is a scam of an insidious nature. I can go in any time without an appointment. I'm in and out with no wasted time and there is a location near me almost everywhere. This branch and staff specifically are helpful and friendly. I've been going to The Joint location on Blackmon for a little over a year now. I love the new chiropractor, Dr. Kibo. She is kind, patient, and thorough. She takes the time to get to know her patients and does everything she can to make you feel safe during this time. The regular front staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Jennifer is the best! I walk in and she checks me in immediately without asking me for my name or key card. I appreciate that she has taken the time to learn my name. I'm so frustrated with this business. Their chiropractors are not strong and I quit going there for adjustments because it was not even adjusting anything. My ex had initially enrolled himself, me, and my daughter in their monthly memberships and now they refuse to take my credit card off the accounts without his consent. They refuse to close the memberships without a personal visit to fill out paperwork. I have now been struggling to dispute the monthly charges for three months, and I'm still fighting with them. Their staff is unhelpful and I'm so tired of their unwillingness to close this. I regret doing business with them so much. Definitely be aware of unfair business practices in the contract. read more

I was in excruciating pain for several days which finally became unbearable. I went to the joint, because they could get me in right away, and were very close to my work place. I got in immediately, and was examined by Dr. Brooks. He asked some questions and after we were both comfortable with each other, started to work on me. His adjustments were very effective and gave instant improvement to my severe discomfort. The staff there is really nice, and the facility neat and welcoming. This was my first attempt to use The Joint. Didn't even get to see someone for an adjustment because they were busy which is fine, I get it as I was a new customer walk-in at 5:15 pm on a Friday. What's not fine was the receptionist's attitude. She was SO fake nice and condescending, basically said "wow you're an idiot for trying to come here right now, but I'd be happy to pencil you in for tomorrow" in not as many words. Went in last week with a pinched nerve. Happens a couple of times a year and I know what it takes to take care of it. Chose this location because it was close and I could get in. (Regular chiro stopped taking my insurance). Got right in to see the Dr and he immediately starts selling me on the monthly service. It was more important to be treated at that time than to hear a sales pitch and I think my face showed it. Dr spent two minutes touching my back and trying to impress me with dr language i.e. "You have xyz between T1 and T8. I don't care, just pop it. He told me one leg shorter than the other - yep happens to a lot of people. Then he pushed down on head and asked if it hurt, which it did. He then told me I have arthritis and have had it between 4-5 years and I need To get an X-ray before he further treats me (then goes back to the sales pitch that not taking X-rays keeps costs down.) He immediately points me to the ER of the hospital next door and instructs me to bring the X-ray back to him. I went back to regular chiro later that day and paid out of pocket. He laughed when I told the story from earlier in the day and then starts attacking the muscle that is pinching the nerve. So moral of the story, if you have no issues and just want to pop your back- this may be you place. But any additional service they are not it. read more

So I've used the joint before and even have bought the package so when I needed it, the service was there. Today I did something and threw my back out of alignment so I decided to use one of the visits, this chiropractor spent more time telling me that I needed to come in more and trying to sell me a membership than trying to fix the problem I came in for. The Joint's later hours appealed to my co-worker & I because we work 9-5. I thought I was being practical and managing my time by visiting the website the day before. "No appointment necessary" with the hours of operations, are stated on the website. Even though I thought that sounded "iffy" we went on ahead and "dropped in" the next day after work. To my delight (sarcasm), I & my co-worker was turned away. We were told that they don't not take new patients after 5pm.
