I started feeling pain in my right lower back at the end of my vacation in March. Not severe, but enough to make me think I tweaked my lumbar somehow. It was most common when I would stand after sitting for a period of time. I went to the Goodyear office for care. The adjustments would provide some relief for a bit, but would not make it go away. Dr. T suggested the pain was from the psoas muscle, not the lumbar, as the psoas attaches at the spine directly behind the lumbar muscle. He did what he called 'stripping' the psoas, and the was immediate improvement. A second week of 'stripping' the psoas, and the pain was gone. Outstanding pursuit by Dr. T to find what needed to be done. read more

This is the absolute worst Joint location. I have been to 3 different Drs at McDowell and Litchfield and all have been so rushed and NOT listened to where I explained my pain is and my boundaries of not doing my neck since one Dr twisted it 4 times and never cracked it correctly and left me in more pain for weeks!. Other locations I have had Drs truly care and customized what they adjust based on my body which clearly the Drs at this location don't . Absolutely ridiculous that's the front desk gave me attitude when I asked which Dr has a similar style to the Drs I love in Surprise and Vistancia. Have been going to this joint (The Joint) for several years now. I am a veteran and have bought the package they have for us and it has been very good. The receptionists are truly amazing and one time they had a new chiropractor sitting with them to learn the flow and procedures. I had Dr. Marx for quite a few years and found him so awesome. Always asked about my life outside of the back stuff. He has since moved on to another clinic. Another doctor was very knowledgeable with meridians and it helped with my healing also with a fall injury. I am in the maintenance mode now. Very short waits. Personable doctors and just enjoyable visits. The one thing I really enjoy is that with your membership you can go to any of The Joint locations. YES! Finally found a location that can care for my back needs. I have had problems with my back and neck most of my life. I found this place when I drove by in the parking lot off of MCDowell & Litchfield Rd. Although there are several other locations across the valley, I love this location... not only because it's close to home but because the doctors here truly care able my health. I've been going to this location a few years now. Using different packages, all affordable, to treat different issues at different times in my life. As other locations, Dr's come and go. Presently, I can only recommend two, Dr Moncrief and Dr Resendez. When I've seen others I've left feeling worse or having issues in other areas that I didn't have going in so I have to go back in a few days to have them fix it. Lately, they have been really busy, the wait on a Saturday was 40 minutes. I like not having an appointment for service and just stopping in but if wait times continue like that, I'll move to an office that requires appointments. The reason for this review now, it's Sunday, they are closed at this location and because of Dr. I saw yesterday at another location, I'm stuck waiting to have one of these Dr's fix what he caused. My experience at The Joint in Goodyear has been uniformly positive. I have been seen primarily by Dr. Marx and Dr. Resendez, both of whom have been very helpful and personable. Lately, I have had extreme pain in my knee, to the point that some days I cannot walk without limping--not good when you work in retail! This pain has diminished considerably since I have been seeing Dr. Resendez. Both doctors have been very gentle in my adjustments (no "pops" or cracks) because I have osteoporosis, yet both have provided great relief. Spends no time with you and gives you the basic line... Come in 3 times a week then 2 times a week and lets get you sighned up. I hrt more for the next two weeks then I did by going in!! beware its cheap here for a reason! 1-14-19 After reading you response. I have had some thought and done some research . You hire mostly new DR's out fresh outta school. I do believe it's affordable for sure. However with the volume you pump through the location and the inexperienced DR's., I feel you really get what you pay for! NOW I have heard at some other locations there are some great DR's with experience. People will seek them out and only see a certain DR. Not in my case!!! This place is alright. Nice Chiro very gentle so if your like me and like to hear the cracking of your back then don't expect it. It's $19 for first visit and $29 thereafter. I would suggest getting one of their packages because it would remain $19 that way. It's very convenient though. Just walk in scan your card and get adjusted which takes less than 5 minutes. The guy before me spent 3 minutes! Geez! For $19 they should have a few of those massage chairs in the waiting area so you can loosen up before your adjustment. read more

Upon registering for treatment Wellness care at this location the receptionist had asked a question I responded well I was in an accident and November. She began to ask extremely medical questions like if I had open cases if this if that. It was none of her business. I have been cleared by all medical professionals including Hospital doctor and everyone else that there is no injury I just had not been to the chiropractor in a year. I do not recommend this place and the least the doctor came out made a statement to limit their liability and I said do me a favor and delete my account. For a business to ask Beyond medical questions that they have no business asking nor they do not need to know this if a doctor clears you a doctor clears you do not go to this place if you do not want your business your medical records and everything else all over the place. read more

A horrible experience today. I am waiting to be seen at the joint, the chiropracticor comes from the back and yells at me " that is gonna stop" from across the room. My cell phone had inadvertently started playing an advertisement which was quickly turned off by the time she had left her patient to yell across the room at me. I was so disappointed I left there in tears with the way the doctor treated me, I had Dr Bronson and he was so rude to my self and my husband. WHAT A JOKE! I MEAN REALLY! went here yesterday, walked in at 6:30 because sign says they are open till 7 and " walk in's are welcome". We were told no new patient walk in after 6! My husband was hurting. His back goes out on him occasionally. What kind of DOCTOR turns hurting patients away! Yes he couldn't see us because maybe his regular patients might come in for adjustments. THE PLACE WAS EMPTY! First of all I'm a nurse who spent years in urgent care and if they got in the door, they got seen. It didn't matter what they were there for. Your no real doctor even if you have the title to go with it. A real doctor cares and that's not this place. In doing more research I'm really shocked to find out that this place gets you in and then try's to get you signed up on some sort of automatic payment plan for their services. What the heck!!! So Disappointed!!! I referred my Grandpa because I had received adjustments here. He was complaining of neck pain and the tingling sensation down his arm most likely a pinched nerve. The Doctor did NOTHING!!!! Did Not Explain anything and just used that activator clicker pen!!! No Adjustment! No Relief, But they OVER CHARGED HIM!!!! Since it was his first time, he tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, still the DOCTOR did Nothing! I went in and spoke to Dr. Resendez and all she said was we couldn't do it cause of his age, but they had No Problem charging him and not explaining to him anything. Went in tonight (7/27/18 @ 533pm) as per the "we need new patients here prior to 6pm because the first visit includes a consultation and exam" when I arrived the front desk lady said I would need to come back cause they stop seeing patients at 530pm (literally "missed it" by 3 minutes?! I don't understand the logic in that. Come before 6 so I do then they refuse because it's after 530. They referred me to come back the next day, or to try and make it to Avondale in time, before 6... because of course they don't take new patients after 6 either... total bull crap.... I had a great first-time experience at The Joint in Phoenix. So, I went to my local Goodyear location of The Joint to be seen by a chiropractor and to purchase a pre-paid package of visits. The girl at the front desk was friendly and personable. I paid for the package of visits and she told me to go back to the chiropractor. I met Dr. Marx, who did not smile, did not formally greet me, and seemed distant. He could not have read my patient profile that had been uploaded into the shared computer system. He didn't have time to do that, because I was immediately told to go back to the adjustment room. I tried to discuss the issues I was having that day, as well as the chronic discomfort with which I struggle. Dr. Marx seemed disinterested in my chiropractic concerns and I could tell he was not really listening to me as I described my pain or stiffness. He told me to just lie down on the chiropractic table. He had me lie on my stomach and he pressed down on my lower back. (I had indicated that my lower back has not been a problem for me). Then he "cracked" me while I was on my stomach. Then he had me flip over. He grabbed my neck, pulled it towards him, turned it to the left and forcefully "popped" it. I said, "Wow. I didn't know you were going to do that." He replied, "That's a good thing". Then he turned my neck to the right and "popped" it again. Upon hearing the loud crack, I said, "Oh, my goodness". His reply was, "You brought it in. I took it out". I suppose he was trying to be witty, but it came across gruff. Then he stood up and helped me stand up. I didn't realize the "session" was over. The appointment - including paying for my visits - took all of five minutes. At the end, he just told me to put heat on my neck. (Other chiropractors have insisted that I use ice - not heat - because heat supposedly worsens inflammation). The whole experience was very "Wham, bam. Thank you, Ma'am". Dr. Marx gave the impression that he would rather be somewhere else. In addition, I felt NO better after seeing Dr. Marx. The issue I had is still occurring. There was no relief like I felt after seeing Dr. Lee at the Phoenix location. I feel like I wasted $17. My adjustment at this Goodyear location was the complete opposite of what I experienced at The Joint in Phoenix with Dr. Lee. read more

i have a patient of "The Joint" for many years now. I found out about it in Texas and was thrilled that AZ had them also. My daughters and I go on a regular basis. We walk in hurting and leave feeling wonderful...every time. All of the doctors I have seen are wonderful, caring, patient and understanding. This place is a scam. They never tell you it's a minimum 2 month membership. The only thing the lady told me is that I pay $60 and then if I wanted any visits after it's a $10 fee. Apparently it says in the fine print but that's not how they broke it down to me when I initially signed up. So they scammed me out of $60 I will never get back. The doctor never looked over my paperwork and just called me back. Said he was going to go over exercises with me to get me feeling better however he never did. Just cracked my neck and back which felt the same as soon as I left the place. Not to mention they took my two payments in the same exact month. One on August 1st and one on August 31st. And when I called the lady told me there was nothing she could do for me even though I wasn't even gonna use the second months membership. What a rip off. I will never do business here again!!
