I absolutely LOVE this place! Dr. Brad Niewierowski is the best doctor of chiropractic medicine I have ever been to. So many chiropractors seem to do the same adjustments on every patient. Not Dr. Brad! He listens to you and takes care to deal with YOUR particular concerns. If something is too far damaged to work on, he will be honest and give you advice on what to do before your next adjustment (Ice, don't lift, stretch, etc). I love that. There are too many out there that will push when they shouldn't and cause further damage. I have been going to him for over a year and he has saved me from pain over and over again. The Joint doesn't require appointments, no big sales pitch or x-ray required. also no health insurance accepted, which is fine because I pay less here than with my health insurance at other Chiropractors. If you go at the beginning of the week, you'll get Mike Nicosia as your chiropractor. The second half of the week, you'll get Todd Blan as your chiropractor. The Joint Chiropractic here at 281/1604 is very convenient as I only live a couple miles away. The staff was very welcoming. I only waited 5 minutes before I was seen at this was at 4pm on a Thursday. I have read a lot of this stores reviews about how long they had to wait to be seen due to the amount of patients this office sees. I did not have this issue. Dr. Mike truly has healing hands. At no time was there discomfort during the adjustment. He has a very reassuring and comforting way about him. The front end is efficiently run by Kindra. She has a great sense of humor and always tries to make sure the needs of each client is met. They are a winning combination! We decided to enroll in their "Wellness" plan (I can't remember the actual name of it) and have realized it is definitely a worthwhile investment. We go weekly but know that we need to get there as soon as they open. Dr. Mike has a huge following and is worth the longer wait if we must go in the afternoon. read more

First time going to a Chiropractor and I should have done my research. As someone new to chiropractic medicine, I was excited to hopefully have some relief and a positive experience. I was met with the opposite. The young woman at the front desk confronted me as if I was doing her a disservice for even walking in the door and proceeded to give me single syllable statements up until the time I walked out the door. When it came time for the initial exam and adjustment, I spent more time filling out paperwork than I did with The physician. 15 minutes on paperwork and only 5 minutes with the working physician, which he spent two of those minutes pitching me a sales promotion to buy their membership. Yes, I received a lower back adjustment but where was the one-on-one patient/physician inquiry where they explain how your pain started and how to manage, and treat the issues? I have chronic lower back pain, plantars fasciitis, and sciatic nerve pain, which I wanted to speak about yet wasn't allotted the opportunity. If you want your back popped and nothing more, then this is your place; but if you have actual PAIN please do yourself a favor and see a chiropractor that will X-ray you and treat you as a patient and not a customer. read more

The front desk personnel and medical staff are great. The concept of the place is simple, go inside and get your adjustment and be out of there in 15 to 20 minutes top. The problem is that most of the time they do not have more than one doctor at the same resulting in long waiting times, or you wasted your time driving to the location and turn around due to the long waiting time 45 minutes or more. When they have two doctors available is great but other than that, the management in this location must ensure to have more than one doctor at all times so they do not waste the time of their customers. I went on five different occasions (days) and they only had one doctor available and the waiting time was more than 45 minutes. For some reason , my first post was removed explaining the aforementioned. I guess they get paid by the joint. read more

Honestly I walked in printed all my forms out before I came and I waited for a good 10 minutes which I knew it was a walk in basis so I was good the doctor came around complaint that the system wasnt loading or something he called me back anyways. I mentioned to him that this was my first time EVER at a chiropractor and I was a little nervous he was surprised and he walked away with out saying anything and grabbed my papers cause the computer was down I'm guessing? He didn't really talk about what my concerns are he just said point to where you have pain.... so I point to my problem area and that's it. He didn't introduce himself which didn't make me feel comfortable.he told me to sit down and he has his little spiel that he was a chiropractor and that y'all are franchises and we can go 7 days a week he points at the spine model on the floor and says that the spine....He then just told me to lay down and not explain ANYTHING on what he was going to do.... like after he did two things on me he told me to get up and walk around and then come back and sit he immediately threw us into the plan speech and talking about how many visits and I interrupted him and said I have like a biting sensation he said ok lie down and he lifted my leg and told me to walk and then he went back to his monthly plan.... I honestly got the WORSE vibe from him and my fiancé which went back there with me thought he was really just not worried about me which concerned him. I'm going back on Monday May 6th to try the other doctor and if that doesn't change how I feel about this whole situation I will be canceling my membership.... Came back on 5/6/19 will be trying Dr. Mike Kendra was warm and welcoming I explained how I felt with the previous Dr I asked Kendra of the name of the doctor I saw and it was Dr. Todd Blan.... I'm excited to see what Dr. Mike can do what I'm seeing and hearing is good! June 1,2019 I was going to update this but I have canceled my monthly payments because I feel that as a professional place that you go to when in discomfort a doctor needs to be able to introduce himself and also explain what he's doing. read more

I know that it's not always going to be an in and out event, but when I come in asking if the wait is long and you say no I do t expect to be waiting 30+ minutes. I went back because my neck desperately needed to be adjusted & I couldn't wait for an appointment. After this time, I don't think I will go back again because the same male chiropractor pressed on my breast when he placed his hand under my armpit again. His lower palm of his hand didn't have to be on my breast. At least, my breast shouldn't feel the pressure from his palm. During the first visit, I just got this uncomfortable feeling but I thought it was an accident. Then, I had this uncomfortable feeling again in my second time so if you have a daughter, or you are a young woman or you are petite, I would go to another location, just to be safe! read more

Mike was very thorough and experienced. He did a great job and I felt much better as the day progressed. The price was amazing--it was my first time and it was only $29. I did not feel pressured to have to come back. He did mention I could save money in the future if I bought packages which were reasonably priced. I like to go to the Chiropractor regularly and will most likely get a package to save money. One amazing thing to mention--it was open on Sunday and I did not have to make an appointment. Dr. Mike is the absolute best and I love Kindra. They are a 5 Star team. Why am I giving only 3 stars? The wait- the wait becomes unbearable when there is only one chiropractor. For a while they had an additional chiropractor working alongside Dr. Mike and the wait felt like nothing. Knowing that so many people come through the doors of The Joint at Northwoods, I'm rather annoyed that there aren't two chiropractors working during peak hours. I love The Joint and have been a very happy customer since 2012. I'm soooo happy the newest San Antonio location is open and It was worth the wait. I am so pleased with both doctors Dr. Wendy Scott and Mike Nicosia. If you have been to their Bandera location, you will be happy to know that Dr Mike is the brother of Dr Mark Nicosia(Bandera)and both are outstanding chiropractors. You won't be disappointed. Dr. Wendy Scott is also a Rock Star! Her adjustments are such a delight...she really knows how to adjust my lower back every time...instant relief! PS...don't leave without your feet and knee adjustments....you won't regret it. They are open 7 days a week so if overdo it on your weekend off, you can run in for a quick adjustment and be good to go so you can enjoy your week!
