Since she's expecting and had a craving for Mexican food, they picked this spot based on past experiences. We arrived around 2:30 PM, and the place wasn't busy--parking was easy, and we were seated right away. One quick note: the actual name of the restaurant is Casa Los Dos Amigos, not Casamigos as it's listed on Yelp. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall near the intersection of Chemawa Road and River Road, just a couple of miles from the I-5 Chemawa Road exit in Keizer, OR. The staff was friendly and efficient. We were quickly offered drinks, menus, and complimentary chips and salsa--plus a nice touch: a small plate of refried beans. They also let us know the lunch menu ends at 3 PM. The interior is festively decorated with a colorful Mexican theme, and the menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of classic dishes. While catching up and browsing the menu, I went with the chile verde enchiladas, my wife ordered a fajita combo, and they chose a burrito and enchiladas. Our meals arrived promptly and looked fantastic. Everything tasted great, but what really made the experience special was the time spent together. It comes with a pupusa filled with shredded pork and cheese and a tamale filled with chicken. The pupusa is kind of like a tortilla packet. I found mine to be very delicious, with yummy pork and rich cheese. The tamale was good too. I loved the tangy cabbage salad that came with the main dishes, and the fried yucca root was super tasty too. The rice was okay, and the beans were good; I think they might have been red silk beans, but I am not sure about that. I was checked in on a few times, and it was a great lunch experience. I will keep this place in mind when I'm next in the area!
