I've been coming to this place quite frequently. Generally, the food is typically good, along with the service. For some reason, Asian establishments as such, have an issue rendering customer service or simply accepting accountability when there has been an issue with service. After arriving at home, I noticed the crabmeat was not coming out of the shell as normal. They were simply overcooked. I called while eating, and I was asked to bring them back. After spending $68.15, something could have been done. My commute was 33 minutes, not to mention 9 months pregnant. I patronize multiple high end restaurants and when there's an issue, the manager will simply rectify the matter with a refund or a gift card, not request to return the food. I feel there's no consideration and complete inconvenience. A solution should be made! When you treat your customers/patrons with respect, they'll return.

Not my first time here and service is always good. I ordered online catfish basket with sweet potato fries. Came with 3 sauces. For a snack 3 can eat or you can split for 2 for a dinner. Place is always clean .

Stopped in because there is one near us that we haven't been able to visit Apparently, this place is relatively new. They cannot serve beer yet They have the restaurant setup for social distancing. My spouse and I ordered the fried shrimp one order with fries and one with onion rings Both meals were excellent Our server brought us a complimentary clam chowder which was piping hot and delicious. Highly highly recommend. My only complaint is that the staff is slow to remove plates, bring a check, and offer drink refills or fresh drinks.

My kids wanted snow crab and it was too late to get some delivered, so we tried our new local seafood boil place. We've seen the building and couldn't wait for it to open, since we have good memories from a couple trips to The Juicy Crab in Atlanta. This is NOT the same chain. And, they brutally overcooked the snow crab. My kids know how to snap the legs and get out the meat. This was so overcooked that I was scraping the meat off the shells and dropping it into my melted butter---not that oil crap that they put in the bag---and it still was inedible. My only positive is that the hush puppies didn't suck. We still didn't eat all five of them.

While in the south I was craving some crawfish and locally found the Juicy Seafood to get my fix of crawfish and shrimp. Todays special was 1/2 lb of both for $15 and their was plenty, along with a couple of potatoes, hard boiled eggs, and a corn cob. Flavors were great, seafood was fresh and seasonings and spice were flavorful. Would highly recommend.

I haven't been super impressed with the Juicy Seafood lately.. They're very close to where I live so I've always just gone as a convenience. I mainly started going here and stopped going to the Crab barrack (which is right across the street) because the crab barrack doesn't do to go orders over the phone anymore.. but I think I'll be taking my business back to crab barrack. The last time I visited the Juicy Seafood I ordered the fried shrimp (you only get four shrimp) and catfish basket with Cajun fries. Very subpar. The fries were soggy. The seasoning was off on the shrimp and the catfish is not traditionally battered. It was battered very heavily and lacked seasoning. To top it off the tartar sauce had the consistency and flavor of toothpaste.. not traditional tartar sauce at all. If I had to compliment anything it would be the hushpuppies and the cocktail sauce. I think getting them to go may be the issue.. I have yet to eat inside the restaurant.

    This is the Super Combo.

My servers name was Greg! Greg was very polite, very professional, and attentive. He had amazing customer service and never let our drinks go empty! Nice young man. Great conversation. There was a manager i believe her name was Nikala, or something of the sorts.. she was very rude to Greg. He was getting out drinks and she yelled at him for a broom. He obviously knew the broom wasn't supposed to be there, but we asked him for something, and he was trying to serve us. She could've taken him to the back and said something to him other than yelling while he was attending his customers. Even after she yelled at him, he still responded graciously. I just did not like the way she did that. As a manger myself i know the importance of the way you speak to your employees, especially in front of customers. Maybe she needs to be trained more. I also enjoyed my food! It was great! Overall this place is amazing, and the food was great.

Thursday special Snow crab shrimp specail

I ordered and ate the Thursday special, and it was so delicious and the portion was great. And the person in charge of our table was so kind and nice-I want to visit every time I go on a business trip.

The BEST & I mean the BEST seafood boil in the area.. I've tried all of the restaurants that are similar to them in the greater Birmingham metropolitan area and none of them compare.. they have larger shrimp and overall better flavor. The decor is great & inviting. The staff is very helpful & attentive. I suggest that everyone give them a try when you get a chance.. they have great specials too

The catfish is made fresh to order which takes a little bit of time but the wait wasn't horrible. The fish was hot but just alright. The fries are frozen shoestring fries but the seasoning was very tasty! I want to try the chicken wings if they still have them whenever I come back to the Pizitz but no rush to get back.

Occupying the space previously used by Spoon and Ladle, Broad Street is next to Uno Tacos and across from J Wings. A native of New Orleans, Kelli Caulfield was raised in Birmingham and never forget her fondness for New Orleans food and culture. So much so that she started a New Orleans themed sno-ball "truck" called NOLA Ice in 2011. Six years later, she added another venture to her resume and started the Broad Street Peaux Boy food truck. It's success has now lead to this location in the Pizitz Food Hall. By the way, I love the clever spin on the spelling and pronunciation of "poboy" to "peaux boy". Unlike Walk-On's or Pappadeauxs, the menu at Broad Street Peaux Boys is short and delectable. It has the basics such as chicken and sausage gumbo, red beans and rice and chicken and sausage pasta jambalaya (or pasta-laya). This menu also has some changes from their food truck menu, but their peauxboys are basically the same. Broad St is proud of their "overstuffed" peauxboys as advertised on their menu and website. All their peauxboys are "dressed" with lettuce, tomato and pickle on french bread and served with your choice of chips or cajun fries with one additional side of dirty rice, cajun corn, or collard greens. Their choices of Peauxboys include: The Parkway is their classic fried shrimp, catfish peauxboy. The Hot Boy is a lemon pepper "hot" catfish on french bread. If you like your catfish blackened and covered with their remoulade sauce, try the Parkway. The Cassie is their classic fried shrimp but tossed in hot buffalo sauce then topped with blue cheese crumbles and ranch on french bread. Finally the Hollet is a peauxboy made with roast beef in their special au-jus sauce. Beyond Peaux Boys, they have what they call Broad St Boxes which include Shrimp Box, Catfish Box, and a Catfish n Shrimp Box. There's even a Broad St Salad Box which can be served with your choice of catfish or shrimp. These are also served with a choice of sides and hushpuppies. Studying their menu, I had planned on trying the gumbo, red beans and rice, and a shrimp peaux boy. Unfortunately that didn't work out as planned because when I arrived, the kitchen was shutting down. They were closing early due to impending storms. Although most everything was already put away, the last employee there felt sorry for me and offered to cook some simplified boxes for me. I couldn't say no so I got a shrimp box and a catfish box. Both only had cajun fries. The catfish and shrimp were both fried in the same "fish fry" powder. The catfish filet was a nice size and fried perfectly. The batter wasn't thick but just enough to seal in the oil and juices of the catfish. The catfish was oh so good. Yom Yom Yom. It wasn't too salty or overly covered in a thick batter... just the way I like it. The fries were on par and complimented the catfish and shrimp. The shrimp box had about 8 large shrimp that were also fried to perfection. With the same delicious light "crust" that meets your taste buds first, you then taste the inviting shrimp underneath. I'm quite sure that the shrimp that's used in their peaux boy will be cooked the same way so I'm trying to imagine how these shrimp would taste sandwiched between their french bread and dressed with tomatoes, lettuce and pickle with possibly mayo or remoulade sauce. It was torture trying to imagine that so that's why I'm definitely returning. I'm not a big roast beef peauxboy kindaguy, but I may even try the Hollet. If you fancy sno-balls, feast your eyes on all the different flavors that NOLA Ice has to offer right under the same roof. Also owned by Caulfied, it made sense for NOLA Ice to also be there next to Broad St Peaux Boys to tickle your taste buds. Broad St Peaux Boy may not be a big place, but they have big flavors. Nothing fancy about their silverware or dishes since everything is served in disposable containers, but their food is cooked fresh and to perfection. Don't forget that they still have a food truck and they cater. Welcome to the Pizitz Food Hall, Broad St Peaux Boys!

Our waitress was very, very nice and personable and knowledgeable. Any questions that I had she always had an answer for and she was very patient with me as I am kind of a picky eater. The crab claws were amazing the seasoning on the crab claws Were a hit. I ordered the redfish Rockefeller and my daughter ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. Let me say the red fish Rockefeller has a distinct taste. It is very overpowering from the fish. It has a sweet onion taste and if you like that, then I would recommend this dish, but I didn't like it at all. Our waitress was very nice and told me to pick another dish. I decided to go with chicken dish. I think it's called Bayou chicken I'm not quite sure but it has a crawfish Louie sauce. I asked for the sauce on the side just in case I didn't like it and I'm glad I did. The sauce is thick, very thick like a gravy and was tasteless. I told her I would just pay for the entrée and not worry about sending it back, but the manager came over and asked me how was the dish and I told her I wasn't a fan but I would pay for it. He said no and brought me the menu again and told me to pick another entrée I was surprised because normally by this time you know, people are over it and, not really willing to please the customer but they were. I decided just to play it safe and go with fried shrimp which came with fries and coleslaw. I'm glad I chose this dish because I really enjoyed it. Also, the French 75 was really really good.

She was super apologetic and handed us menus while explaining that we need to go to the register to order and pay first, and then we'd get a number for our table. As for drinks, if you want an adult beverage, you have to order those separately at the bar. You'd think there'd be some signage indicating the process since it's a bit different from the usual!
