She delivered on everything I asked for and was very clear in the questions she asked to determine my final look. I have been a loyal client of your salon for years, but my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. On September 25, 2025, I received an email reminding me of my appointment scheduled for September 27, 2025. Immediately after receiving this email, I called the salon to cancel my appointment since there was no option to do so through the email itself. I called three times without an answer and ultimately left a voicemail requesting cancellation. Despite this, I received an email today stating that my card on file would be charged for missing the appointment. I promptly called your salon to clarify the situation and explained that I had canceled by voicemail on September 25. The person who answered the phone was dismissive, and when I spoke with the owner, I was made to feel as though the responsibility fell on me for not replying to the email or a text message. To clarify: I do not receive text messages from your salon. I did not reply to the email because I had already called and left a voicemail. It is your responsibility to check and respond to client voicemails. Additionally, I called today at 11:29 a.m. and was told I would receive a call back within 30 minutes. That call never came. This lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I respectfully request a full refund of the cancellation charge. I hope you will honor this request and reconsider how communication and customer service are handled in the future. read more

They were extremely rude, not knowledgeable but acted knowingly trying to overcharge me. a haircut and a few highlights for 267$. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it due to some personal injuries and they charged me 260$ for cancelling the appointment. Completely unfair and had me in tears, even when I talked to the lady over the phone she was incredibly disrespectful and condescending towards my situation. I have been to this salon a couple of times and had great experiences. However, my third experience is the reason for my 1 star review. I booked an appointment for a blowout on the morning of my baby shower. Unfortunately, at 3am that morning I had a serious pregnancy complication that caused me to have to go to the hospital (I am still in the hospital and literally writing this review from my hospital bed). I responded back to the confirmation text cancelling my appointment however since it was after their 24 hour cancellation policy I was charged the entire cost of the service. I called and explained my situation hoping that they would understand- there was no way I could have planned for this and cancelled my appointment before 24 hours. I was met with zero compassion or understanding and just told that this is their policy and there is nothing they can do about it. I understand the need for the policy but you would think that they would be able to make an exception when a loyal customer encounters an unforeseen and horrible circumstance. I have been in Greensboro, North Carolina for 2 years. Haven't had a haircut that makes me feel good since moving here. Thought I would give Junction a try. Yes I was about to drive 78 miles for a haircut. Upon making my appointment I am so excited, seeing as how I haven't cut my hair since December and am in desperate need of a cut. I am driving to Raleigh and run into traffic. I called the salon to let them know and wanted to make sure the stylist was cool with it and that I wouldn't be Messi g with the timing of the next client if they had one. The stylist cancelled on me because they close at 430pm on a Saturday. And me being late wouldn't work for them. So there I was more than halfway there having to turn around and drive back to Greensboro. Looks like I am back at square one. So I used to go here for myself and both kids before COVID and I loved it. Now I don't think I will be returning, which is a shame because it had nothing to do with the hairdresser. Let me start with the the most relevant to anyone else who is looking at making an appointment and go onto my reason for making it a point to find another salon... 1. You might as well go to Fantastic Sams or or "Cheap" Cuts because you can probably get the same services for less. If you are a hairdresser there, read on before you get angry. The hairdressers get paid commission so they don't really get that much for what they do. The salon benefits more than they do. You should look for a salon where the hairdressers rent their station because they will stay around longer. I have had 3 different stylists and this time makes 4. Then there was one other that did not do even close to a professional job on my daughter's hair and I had to get someone else to fix it. It's hard to find a good hairstylist and when you find one you like, you want to stick with him/her. 2. They just recently switched to paid parking. I didn't know and I parked as soon as I pulled in and didn't realize that I needed to pay for parking (because I had never needed to before). When I can out an hour and a half later I had a ticket for $28 posted to my windshield. When I went in to ask the salon they told me to enter the parking info, pay it, have it validated (so my cost to park would be $0), and then dispute it with the parking company. So I did this and they said that I still need to pay it. I can prove I was there for less than the 2 hours, they had about 10 cars in the entire lot, but they are making me pay $28 for parking that would have cost me $0. I realize that won't happen again because I am aware of the parking situation now, but out of principle I will not go back. That's not how you treat customers you are supposed to value. read more

First time having my hair cut since living in Raleigh. Looking the most recommend hair salon near me and it suggested the Junction Salon & Bar. Reservation was easy to make and you can pick your stylist with different price for each stylist. Kind of tricky when i arrived because it's in the corner. Coming inside and you can see the Bar in the middle. I don't drink so i skip it, but sure they have full bar to serve such as wine and cocktails. I asked my stylist to cut my hair short and she did a great job! Ending with curl my hair little bit and i love it! I even think to curl my hair permanently because it's so cute. I had a good first experience and I decided to revisited for some hair color. I booked almost 3 weeks prior, paid the $50 deposit to hold my appointment, then I show up on time. They did not have my appointment in the system nor any record I paid or booked. No one was available to help me either. The reason was they "switched booking systems" however, it is THEIR responsibility as a business to move appointments and contacts. It is THEIR responsibility to make sure they correct any system problems. I had been waiting for weeks and I was already very anxious about coloring my hair. It's located in the heart of downtown with convenient parking right out front. The stylists and reception are very sweet and all extremely good at what they do. I've never had a bad experience here. Not very happy with my gel manicure. I bought a groupon. The manicurist rushed through my manicure and didn't initiate cutting my cuticles, I had to ask. I've never had a manicure where my cuticles were not paid attention to. Also, I thought I would get a little bit of a hand massage but got nothing. It's been 5 days since my gel mani and my gel polish is already chipping from each side of a few nails. I wanted to bring this up to the manager that night but was with a friend and on our way to dinner so didn't want to make a scene. I have been to Junction several times for haircuts and they have been satisfactory. I have even had a pedicure and it was fine as well. A few months ago when I was getting a haircut we discussed color options for the next appointment as I had left my hair dye free for 5 years. It seemed we were on the same page and I showed pictures of what I wanted and again at the scheduled color appointment. After the color I thought it was ok and I get home and realized it was nothing like I asked for. I wanted a natural blonde look and they put highlights in that started 4 inches down. I called and they were very nice and asked that I come back to correct it. It takes me 30 minutes to get there and another few hours sitting to wait on the color, so I was really hoping this time would be what I asked for. I showed the same pictures as the first two times and when finished my hair was tossed around on top and I think it looks closer to what I asked for. Again, I get home and part my hair as normal and there are four or 5 brassy blonde highlights on top of my brown hair. At this point I feel defeated and embarrassed but decide to send an email of pictures of what my hair looks like and what I asked for. The manager called and was nice and suggested I come back to another stylist. She even mentioned the picture does not look like what I requested. I decline the offer to come back as I don't think I want to risk damaging my hair more for something they were not able to do after two attempts. Now I have to go to another salon to fix this and spend more time and money. I do appreciate them trying to resolve the situation but the time and money I invested to have something that is nothing like I asked for is very disappointing and inconvenient. read more

I usually like to joke around and be goofy, but I am no nonsense when it comes to my hair. A bad haircut is serious business. That is why I've continued seeing Meghan at Junction for nearly 4 years now. Honestly, I don't even know if the other stylists are any good because I will only let Meghan cut my hair. They're probably fine, but I can't take the risk. I don't care that it's expensive--Meghan always does a perfect job, so I keep going back to see her. When she went on maternity leave, I just didn't get my hair cut for nearly half a year until she came back to work. I listen to everything Meghan says. When she recommended a chemical treatment to recondition my dry hair, I agreed, and it made my hair so healthy that when I let it air dry, it takes more than an hour for it to finally stop being damp. Awesome. I've never gotten a manicure here, and I don't care that they have a fully stocked bar. The vibe is cool, but again, I don't care. I just want someone who will take good care of my hair, and Meghan does a great job. I feel like I can't give it 5 stars since I really know virtually nothing else about their other stylists or services, but just go see Meghan and you'll be taken care of well. read more

The Junction has changed. I've been coming here for the past 4 years. Would previously have given a happy 5-star review. Not the case after my experience yesterday. Here's a bit on why: - Poor manicure quality: I went in for a gel French manicure and it was short, poorly done and I was rushed out of the chair. The results show... I've attached a picture of the manicure. It is *noticeably* asymmetrical. By far the lowest quality French manicure I've experienced and I get ~10 every year. - Surprise fees at checkout: I first started visiting The Junction because the prices listed on their website are very fair. I continued going there because, unlike so many other salons, their stylists were clear about pricing and didn't surprise me with unknown fees for products and treatments I didn't know about at checkout. My usual cost for a partial highlight and cut had been around $150, but yesterday I got to the counter and it was $250. I looked over the counter at the sheet from which this was calculated, and my stylist had listed some additional treatment for $30 I had never heard of. Upon asking to speak to her about this, the receptionist looked annoyed with me, but when the stylist returned she quickly said she would take it off. Here's why... - My partial highlight and manicure appointment took ~5 hours, from 2:15 until 7pm. My stylist was triple booked. I don't know about you, but I have very little extraneous time and felt it was disrespected because these appointments have historically taken around 2.5 hours. I noticed that when I was at the shampoo bowl, she had another person in her chair and wasn't ready to see me. They kept me at the shampoo bowl, put something in my hair and told me to wait. No explanation of why I was waiting or what they put on my hair. It was easy to surmise that I had to wait there because my stylist was overbooked and couldn't see me yet. Fine. However, once I arrived at the checkout counter and had a random extra fee, it became clear that they were essentially charging me extra for having to wait, which is why the stylist quickly took it off with no explanation. Sadly, had I not peered over the desk to see why my price was so high, I would have been tricked into paying for this additional treatment I neither wanted nor asked for but was given to mask an overbooked stylist. - Sketchy ambiguity on pricing: after discovering that communication and honesty in my final bill were compromised, I asked for an itemized receipt to see exactly what I had been charged. The receptionist looked visibly exasperated and said that I would have to wait for her to check out other customers in line and then go to "the back" and look it up which could take a while. After having been there for *5 hours* already and feeling like an annoyance for asking what I was being charged, I just wanted to get out of there and chose to leave with no receipt. As a customer, I should not be made to feel like an annoyance or burden for simply wanting to understanding the terms of my transaction. Although I've gone to this salon for the past 4 years and loved calling it home, I'm sad to report after this experience that the quality of this salon has significantly disintegrated. I feel burned. TL;DR - lowest quality French manicure I've ever gotten, "gotcha" fees at check out, pricing dishonesty and poor communication, triple bookings and long wait times. Sad to see The Junction has changed for the worse. read more

Jess is very good. She always does what I ask for. I was very pleased with how the salon was taking precautions for covid. All the staff had masks on. Clients wait outside in their cars until an employee gets them for their appointment. There was not too many people inside at the same time. The hair wash stations were separated by dividers. Clients are required to wear masks. They sanitize the chairs with alcohol between clients and then obviously continue to clean hair equipment the same way they always have. Just a wonderful experience today at The Junction Salon & Bar! My sister in law and I met with Nadia for House Pedicures. It was amazing! Our toes look so pretty!!!! And today was bottomless mimosa day also! Bailey the receptionist is also a wonderful bartender! She is so super nice and she was so attentive to anything we needed. Our glasses were never empty!!! And Mahesh the owner...he is such a wonderful guy! He too made sure our glasses were always filled with delicious pineapple cranberry mimosas! We will certainly be back over and over and over again! After our pedicures I treated my sister in law to a little picnic lunch that I had brought with us out on their wonderful patio. I've had trouble achieving the color I wanted and am a pretty indecisive person when it comes to what I want and she made magic out of my subpar description. She took a photo I had and listened to what I said to achieve the perfect Hershey dark chocolate color with red undertone dimensions that shine in the light.
