On 4-21-2020, I had an epic overall experience by hiring Rick, the Owner of The Junk Guys!!! It was for a last minute job in Edison, NJ to clean out my parents apt. two days later. While I inquired about service needed over the phone. Rick asked the most important question during this world crisis. Did anyone in the apt have the coronavirus virus including myself? I said no. Rick informed me that he and all his workers wear all the protective N95 masks and gloves to perform their jobs and don't have the virus. Rick was pleasant, knowledgeable and fair with his quote. Two days later on 4-23-2020, Rick and one of his employees showed up on time, texted me 45 minutes prior to his arrival and worked very effectively and professionally. Needing a clean out FAST. I chose the Junk Guy, How else can i thank our Veterans. Larry & Jeff were wonderful. We orchestrated a clean out on a property that I needed to close on. I also needed to bring back a certain piece of furniture. They had it set aside already. Me, being in the central jersey area, the property located in Brick. We did it. I was able to meet them at the property before noon. The workers had it just about complete. This house was loaded. We cleaned up the rest,while waiting for the truck to return. The two young men that were helping me, they were really nice, polite young men, very friendly and funny. When driver with the truck returned,we loaded up again. The driver,also the man in charge. We can honestly say that this company is FANTASTIC! Our whole experience with each member of the staff was great. They were nothing but kind, friendly and professional. The office gave us an estimate over the phone for our junk removal and never wavered on the price. They were completely HONEST and transparent. They were able to work with our schedule and were extremely punctual on the day of pick up. Our parents' have recently passed away. My sister and I packed and donated any items that would be useful to charities but we still needed a company to remove the 90 years of items and 'stuff' that had accumulated. The Junk Guys were great! Max, Mike & Bill showed up on time and worked efficiently and tirelessly until the house was emptied from top to bottom! They even did a complete cleanout of the garage. I called the Junk guys to see about cleaning out my fathers house as he just passed away on 8/11. They offered to clean out the house or they can leave a dumpster at my fathers house and I can load it. I choose to go with the dumpster drop off. The gentlemen that dropped it off placed it rite in the driveway, he even moved it closer to the doorway for me. Talking to the people in the office was a breeze. Scheduled a time that was convenient for me and even discounted my price when the team's arrival was delayed due to a traffic problem, definitely not their fault and I didn't expect that courtesy ( which was very much appreciated). We had a fantastic experience with The Junk Guys today. Billy, Max and Sean showed up promptly at the agreed upon time and did a superior job removing some very heavy furniture from our basement, living room and backyard. They were extremely careful not to hit any walls when carrying the furniture out to the truck. All 3 of them were courteous and showed a great deal of professionalism and pride in their jobs. Not big on giving reviews but I must when someone goes above and beyond! We are in the process of moving and had many years of "stuff" we collected. Furniture that was given to us, bags of old holiday items, etc. First thought was to donate but it was in no condition to do that. Shopped around and decided on this local company. Had the best quote of those who responded on Yelp, showed up in the time frame as expected, and took what I requested. Local business, right around the corner. Only iffy part was payment - was initially told I could write a check (with a CC as backup) but then was told I could not. To use a cc was an additional 10%. Ended up using Venmo.
