Who knew getting rid of some old couches could be such a pleasant and memorable experience? Alonzo and Michael from the Junk Dudes were so professional but at the same time kind... respectful and friendly. Three generations of my family happened to be at the house at the time and by the time they were done.. They felt like our new friends. They did their thing and did it well and after we said goodbye my parents commented on what nice guys they were and it turned what could have been a stressful situation for them into a warm and pleasant exchange. Thank you guys so much great prices too!! .

Water from flooded basement :( everything was sopping wet and they rocked it

My basement flooded and I live alone with my 3 children so PANIC hit me fast. I reached out to Junk removal Dudes and they got back to me quick with a fair price and THEY CAME SAME DAY! it was awesome. I was (obviously) having a pretty rough day and 2 of the junk removal dudes kind of let me help by breaking own stuff and ripping stuff out. HAHA It was awesome! They are awesome! (5 stars all the way but i did NOT like that there was a credit card fee. I don't have 500$ in cash laying around and he didn't accept check. Venmo. Or PayPal. I probably won't use this service again if i don't have cash) thank you again guys! You rocked!

College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving - Naperville

We had a HEAVY hulk of an old boiler that was left in the basement by the installers of the new one…read morelast year. After soliciting bids on Yelp (some as high as $800!) College Hunks came in at almost a quarter of the price. They are bonded and insured, which was a comfort. The best part was, they don't charge by how many people they need - they started with 3 guys, but needed to call for back-up to get it out. They did it, and were super pleasant to work with. We highly recommend!

If I could give this company -1000 stars I would…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my family's experience was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. We hired College Hunks (Naperville, IL) for a local move between two homes that were only about five minutes apart. Before the move, we answered detailed questions about the size of the homes, the number of rooms, and what needed to be moved. Based on that information, we were given an estimate of approximately 6 hours of work and an expected cost of around $2,000. The reality was very different. The move ended up taking approximately 13 hours--more than double the estimate--and our final bill was nearly $4,000. We were told the extra time was due to a two-story walk-up and a blocked alley entrance, but these explanations do not justify such a massive difference from the estimate we were given. The men on the team also did not inform anyone that they were going on break and we have no idea when they started/stopped their break. To make matters worse, several items were damaged during the move: * The back panel of a dresser was damaged. * The center support leg for that dresser was lost. * A small piano was broken. We submitted a damage claim during the first week of May and have repeatedly attempted to follow up. Despite numerous calls, we have received no meaningful update or resolution. At this point, the lack of communication has been just as frustrating as the damage itself. I understand that estimates can change and that moving is difficult work. What I do not understand is how a move can take more than twice as long as estimated, result in damaged property, and then be followed by weeks of silence when a claim is submitted. All we have asked for is a fair resolution regarding the damages and a reasonable review of the charges. Instead, we have been left chasing answers. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to get every detail in writing, ask detailed questions about how charges are calculated, and carefully document the condition of all belongings before the move.
