Restaurants, coffee, desserts, shopping, a market, and gear rentals are all just steps away. The property has a lovely atmosphere, a quaint pool, and an attentive front desk that was incredibly helpful during our stay. A bonus was the beautiful spa on-site, complete with yoga classes and wellness offerings. I couldn't believe how thoughtfully curated the entire experience was. The staff sent me a text asking if I wanted housekeeping, since I guess it's the off season, even though it was 4th of July weekend. Responded as yes, never got them. Had to go to the front desk every day for something, even though I paid over $100.00 a night to stay there, in their "off season." No breakfast bar, because of it being their "off season." Half of the hotel is inexcusable for ADA, stairs halfway down the hall. Ice and vending machines out of order. Half of the equipment in the gym broken. Half of the games in the arcade broken. Swimming pool emptied during our stay. Just a truly lovely experience. Guy cleaning downstairs just moving the broom around one handed, not caring if he got anything or not. Guess this is what you expect from a hotel in the "off season." Coming from Las Vegas, where we have the best hotels and staff on earth I guess it's too much to ask for those standards. Yet we stayed at the Hilton right down the road from the Lodge last year, and guess what? Felt like we were in an actual resort. The night staff girl was amazing though. She actually seemed to care, but she could only do so much as she was the only staff member there from 3:00pm-11:00pm. She deserves a raise.

Aaron goes above and beyond to be accommodating with times and setup. He has even been known to let parties arrive up to a week early to set up, just to alleviate their stress on the day of their wedding. The venue is always very clean and professional. There are multiple comfortable spaces for families to get ready and relax before the event. The outdoor lawn for ceremonies is always pristine and very beautifully decorated. His custom arch for the ceremony backdrop is incredible. I've seen people in other reviews saying don't bring your children. Aaron is a super nice guy, but he takes care of his venue and expects parents to do their job by not letting their kids touch things they aren't supposed to or break things.
