Service with a smile is always a great way to establish a good connection. Keys made and needed some additional adjustment. Can't get that from a machine. Several other keys were made and the entire experience was rewarding. Newer owners since my last visit but the helpful service is still there. Safes and commercial available. Unfortunately this is a disappointing review to have to write. I just wanted to share my honest experience in hopes to help somebody else. You'd think people would stop taking advantage of others but this is what I feel has happened to me when I attempted to get a car key replacement from here. (Yes I didn't go to the dealership because I thought I could trust this place) now over a $100+ I'm having to just cut my loses and start over. The whole context is over a month ago now I went into the store to seek a new key being made for my car because this car key I own the buttons to lock and unlock the car we're not working anymore (it wasn't the battery I tried replacing that multiple times) so I order the new key, week goes by new key comes in, I go in and the key they ordered or the place that sends them somebody sent or ordered the wrong key... so now fast forward another week key comes in and I come back in. They work on the car and because now they are saying your car is "after market" their machine to do what it needs to do with the programming of the new key won't work on my car. So now I have to go to an alarm place, I go and explain the situation they say yes they can help. Then schedule a day where locksmith tech and alarm tech and do it together to get it done and taken care of. Now day of, the locksmith guy does what needs to do and the alarm guy same, and now minus the scary episode of my car not turning on for a few minutes, they finish. Now I'm told doing that process of wires and programming from the key guy, the remote start on my car got turned off... now, I have to go get it turned back on by another alarm location because that alarm location doesn't have the correct equipment. (Not alarm place fault) and they "fixed" the key but it still won't do what I wanted the key to do in the first place unless I never use my remote start again. So now two choices is what your telling me I'm left with. Choice one, I remove my remote start feature forever and can unlock and lock my car(all because it's after market etc.) and I can use the button but won't get to use the feature that never should have been an issue to begin with. Choice two, I keep/fix my auto start but I'm stuck with a key that doesn't do what the original still doesn't do which is unlock and lock the car.. so basically paid $100+ for a spare key and wasted a lot of time and energy. After calling the manager the next day to discuss a refund I was told that I couldn't receive a refund because it was special ordered. Now I am left with a spare key and not a key that works which is what I wanted and yes you can't do what you need to without me choosing but if the customer doesn't want to choose and would rather just do a refund, why tell the customer you can't do a refund when you had to "special order it". Especially with it not being explained correctly to begin with. The customer is always right isn't worth your time here. Save yourself the trouble and headache do what I should have done and go to the dealership. read more

Soooooooooo after being highly pissed off with my Sentry Safe for failing to give me an indication that she was about to die (and refusing to open with the code) ... I dragged my stubborn safe into Village Locksmith and did a small prayer that the contents would not be destroyed once the safe was drilled opened. Sentry Safe (will never buy again) was of no help as they informed me that the safe was six years old and that the manufacturer no longer made the key .... They informed me that a locksmith would probably destroy the safe when opening it but within ten minutes and a few crafty clicks with some thin tiny sticks, Paul had the safe open and I was rummaging through the safe, grabbing my documents and squealing with delight... As a new customer, I looked around for you Yelpers and I saw hundreds of keys on the wall( I'm sure they have what you need) small and big safes for your important gadgets and saw a few customers get keys made within minutes. I thoroughly looked at other safe options as my Sentry Safe had now made it to my Poo Poo List and also learned that I could possibly have my Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 key remade and programmed here as well and save almost a $200 mark up from the Mercedes-Benz Dealership ( I hate when Dealerships rob customers on markups ) ... but will definitely try my chances here. I posted an original review and warning for future customers who get a new key FOB programmed at this company. Apparently, my original review got removed from their Home page, as it no longer shows any customer reviews. I had misplaced my key FOB, so I purchased a new one from them. Several months later I found the misplaced FOB in some clothing that I was taking to Goodwill, and I was so happy to find it. However, it would no longer start my Prius because the process they used to program my new key FOB had deprogrammed my original FOB. Since their website says 100% guarantee, I thought they would surely reprogram my key FOB at no cost because I understand there is an option to program a new key without deprogramming a misplaced key. The lady I spoke to was very very adamant that I would need to pay again for them to reprogram my newly found key FOB. I asked to speak with the manager, but she said he would tell me the same thing. This seems to be so UNFAIR since it would only take a few minutes to reprogram the misplaced FOB that I had found. So, if you have simply misplaced your FOB and may find it later, make sure that they do not deprogram you old FOB. This is just a friendly warning to future customers. read more

Stopped in to have my sons key fob programmed. The young lady was patient and assisted us in troubleshooting our current fob. Overall service was fast and friendly. Very affordable when compared to the dealer. Definitely recommend. read more

Little local mom and pop where your keys are made right the first time (I'm looking at you, Big Box-ers..). Can do other fancy locksmith-y things, but I haven't used these services. Small town customer service. My fella offered to stamp letters on my keys so I know what's what. The little things go a long way. read more

Had a screw come loose out of my very old sears front door lock. Paul from village locksmith was able to fix me up with new keys , and shore up the door and hinges. Door fits very tight now. Very nice. I was very pleased. And I'm able to use both locks now !! read more

On two occasions I have had them duplicate the side door key for my Winnebago. The first time the duplicate was unusable and the second time it worked off and on. Not very helpful. read more

Kaselyn was very friendly, professional and dependable. She made a duplicate auto FOB key for me. She also informed me that there were other FOBs for my vehicle, which she removed at my request. I am pleasantly surprised with this locksmith! After my key snapped off my main keychain to my car I headed to the dealership where they told me they could fix it....for $300. Thankfully they had mentioned that I could run to a locksmith & they could copy the key. I came to this location since it was close to my house. Great service, great price! I'd broken a key off in an expensive locking storage container. I'd gone to the shop to see if they could remove and replace the lock with a new one (which was available for sale on the container company's website for about $50 plus shipping). I'd lost the spare key for the lock. The folks at Village Locksmith were able to extract the broken key piece from the lock, then make three duplicates from the broken piece. All three new keys work great! Total price, about $25. Support this local business and you won't be disappointed. read more
