The service was phenomenal tonight as well as the food. They were all working together, which was nice to see when my drink was empty, which it never was because they kept refilling it.. first, we had the deep fried spicy balls which were delicious and they were not overcooked this time so that was definitely a plus different ranch. They are delicious.. I had a buffalo chicken wrapped breaded and I added tomatoes. It was super spicy and oh so good. I highly recommend the french fries dipped in ranch it's a must!!! husband had the tenderloin. It was cooked to perfection and the onion rings,They aren't skimpy on and the breading stayed on all of them. Some Saturdays they have live music inside or even on the patio. If it's nice outside, they have plenty of parking available. I highly recommend this establishment..

    Cheesesteak with Tater Tots

The dining room consists of about 20 tables with some of them counter high. There are many screens around so you should be able to see what's on TV no matter where you sit. There are a dozen chairs at their long bar. Service was surprisingly good considering there was only one employee working the bar and the dining room. A couple came in and picked up nine carry out lunches plus there was a group of eight finishing up. The kitchen staff was fast. My food, and everyone else's, came right out. I ordered the Cheesesteak without the mushrooms and the Tater Tots. The sandwich came with Queso cheese and carmelized onions. It tasted superb. It had a really good flavor with those ingredients. The tater tots were very unusual. They were shaped in letters, such as T, S and L. They reminded me of Legos with their square shapes. They tasted great! I also ordered the funnel cake with extra sugar and no drizzle to go. This was my first time here and the primary reason for stopping in was to try their funnel cake. I had checked them out on Yelp ahead of time and knew they had funnel cake. I was able to find a street parking spot in front to the business next door during the lunch hour. Overall a good experience and I would like to come back and reorder that great cheesesteak sandwich.

First time in and the building was pretty busy for lunch. That's always a good sign in my book. The menu selections are pretty decent with lots to choose from. The seating area is pretty good size as well. I went for the breaded Tenderloin and it didn't disappoint at all. It was decent sized and had great flavor.I was super pleased with the breading not being super thick and I liked the style of breading used with a touch or corn meal. The sandwich comes with your choice of tots, fries or even onion rings. The rings were pretty good and usually an up charge at many restaurants. The service was spot on and pleasant with just the right amount of check ups to make sure drinks were good.

Maybe time of day has a lot to do with how much fun you have at this bar. They have lots of fun nights set up with dancing, Karaoke, and pool tables. I think I saw they even have live entertainment mentioned on their website. But my wife and I stopped in for lunch and with all the room, social distancing wasn't a problem for us. The restrooms had hand sanitizer as well. What we noticed was that nobody in the place, other than us was wearing a mask. The regulars seated at the bar were talking with the bartender/waitress and nobody had a mask. There were other people behind the bar and those ladies were not wearing masks either. My wife and I were thinking that maybe we should go elsewhere, but we were masked up and had used the sanitizer. When the bartender/waitress came over, I asked if she would mind putting on a mask since I am particularly vulnerable due to my chemo for any kind of virus/infection. She apologized and ran out to her car to get her mask. She wore it whenever she came to our table, so we decided to stay. The food was okay. Large portions and reasonable prices and since it was lunch, it wasn't too loud. Our food arrived in an acceptable time frame. My wife thought the club sandwich was just okay. She thought the onion rings were cut too thick. Even though the outside got cooked and crisped, the onion itself was not completely cooked and was chewy. I ordered the 6 pc wings and choice of sauce (I asked for it on the side). The batter on the wings was crisp and crunchy while the chicken was cooked just right (not too dry.) The wings are huge and looked the size of tenders! Plenty to eat. They have a variety of sauce to choose from, but I went with Teryaki on the side. I usually order my sauces on the side since I run into too many places that just smother the chicken in sauce and it overwhelms the flavor of the meat and breading. A little too salty for my preferences, but still a good meal. We got a to go box and our bill promptly when we asked for them. I would have liked to give this place a better rating, but between the staff and the customers roaming around without any regard for covid mandates, I would rather go someplace else with more regard for compliance and customer safety. We ended up wearing our masks throughout the meal except to put food in. Maybe calling in a carryout order would have been the smarter decision for us. Review #3833

My wife and I had dinner here recently on a saturday and there was no wait to be seated. Our server was really great and gave some good recommendations on their in-house beers. The inside is a nice moody modern feel, and there are big garage door windows for when thw weather is nice. Looked like they had outdoor seating as well. They also had a window where you could see into the brewery area. We started off with a festbier and the house brown with the garlic cheese curds. This course alone was so good that we will definitely be back for drinks and apps! The cheese curds were very fresh and hot, so much that the smaller curds of cheese were fully melted inside which was so delicious! They did not have that squeaky cheese feel that some other places have with their curds. The festbier was really good, kind of a cross between an oktoberfest and a summery citrusy beer. The brown ale was also good. For the main course, we split the steak tacos and the BT burger. The tacos were good - steak was tender and juicy, but the chips were kinda meh. The burger was really good and perfectly cooked (medium rare, obviously) and juicy. We didnt have room for dessert but the options looked good on the menu! Can't wait to come back!

Food was delicious, server was excellent and the restaurant is close to my home. Can't ask for more!read more

However, on a recent trip back to visit my parents' grave, I finally got the chance to stop in and check it out for a bit. Central Normal Tap is basically a laid-back, charming pub and grill with solid dining options, craft beer, spirits, and a terrifically friendly vibe. I'm not sure if terrifically is really a word, but I'm sticking with it. Located on the east side of the Danville Town Square, this is a great place to hit if you're doing some visiting of the town square (and you should). It's not an all-day joint. It's really from evening into the night hours. The town square offers free parking (with accessible option). While there are stores on the square that are not accessible, Central Normal Tap is pretty darn good (some of the tables are a bit high and there are a handful of booths that have a step up). Dining options include pretzels, wings, flatbreads, and more. I didn't spend a whole lot of time here, but I enjoyed the time I spent. The vibe was a nice tapestry of smaller town charm with a modern energy. The food was tasty, and the service was absolutely top-notch. I would easily return, though I might avoid when it's super busy as I could imagine accessibility being a bit more challenging just due to the layout. For those who wonder (I love origin stories), the name comes from Central Normal College, a former college that moved from Ladoga, Indiana to Danville, Indiana in the 19th century and lasted until just after World War II. It's a part of Danville/Hendricks County history (you can learn more about it at the Hendricks County Museum).

Our server Emily was cheerful and informative. A parking garage across the street served us well for dining at this restaurant and attending an event at Hendricks Live across the street. The shrimp cocktail appetizer featured fresh large shrimp with dollops of horseradish on the plate and a nice sauce. I enjoyed the steak frites entree, a generous portion of steak perfectly cooked, served with a delicious broccolini and tasty fries. My sister ordered the chicken marsala and noted that she would have liked more sauce, and the truffle potatoes were delicious. My brother said his huge pork chop was perfect, and my sister in-law recommended the sirloin steak. We had reservations and were seated at a high top table, which is not my preferred way to dine but the restaurant was full so we didn't ask to be moved. We had a bit of a wait for our entrees and chalked that up to it being Saturday night. There is a separate bar area and rooftop dining with igloos available.

I drove an hour to visit this place and saw lots of good reviews. I started off with a lemon drop and a snack short rib eggroll. The lemon drop was watery and just did not hit like I would have hoped (I'm a lemon drop girly). They do use Titos as their well so that was good. The egg roll was dry- you definitely need to dip in the wasabi aioli to make it palatable. Next up were the buffalo chicken hush puppies. I like the idea here. The inside was moist and flavorful and the outside was kind of dry and drizzled with what I think was ranch. They were ok. I have a Ceaser salad add chicken and "fried" Brussels sprouts. The salad was suppose to come the onions , there were none so the waitress brought me some. The salad was mid at best and the chicken was dry and unflavored. I asked for some spicy ranch and that saved the salad! The Brussels sprouts were pretty good. My friend had the potato soup and said it was very watery (not creamy at all). I enjoyed the live music and overall vibe but good was average. Parking is an issue as well. There is parking in the rear or a parking garage but not super convenient parking.
