They were all working together, which was nice to see when my drink was empty, which it never was because they kept refilling it.. first, we had the deep fried spicy balls which were delicious and they were not overcooked this time so that was definitely a plus different ranch. They are delicious.. I had a buffalo chicken wrapped breaded and I added tomatoes. It was super spicy and oh so good. I highly recommend the french fries dipped in ranch it's a must!!! husband had the tenderloin. What a great place. Excellent burgers and sandwiches. Great selection of appetizers and drinks. Newly added frozen drinks are a welcome addition, as well as ice-cold beer. The staff are extremely friendly, always willing to help. Motorcycle/Harley Davidson theme adds a nice touch of ambiance, without being overwhelming. Nightly specials and music every weekend make for great entertainment. Scotty and Shelby are very involved in the community as well, regularly hosting dine to donate every Thursday, as well as hosting the annual Heroes Ride. The dining room consists of about 20 tables with some of them counter high. There are many screens around so you should be able to see what's on TV no matter where you sit. There are a dozen chairs at their long bar. Service was surprisingly good considering there was only one employee working the bar and the dining room. A couple came in and picked up nine carry out lunches plus there was a group of eight finishing up. The kitchen staff was fast. My food, and everyone else's, came right out. I ordered the Cheesesteak without the mushrooms and the Tater Tots. The sandwich came with Queso cheese and carmelized onions. It tasted superb. It had a really good flavor with those ingredients. The tater tots were very unusual. They were shaped in letters, such as T, S and L. They reminded me of Legos with their square shapes. They tasted great! I also ordered the funnel cake with extra sugar and no drizzle to go. This was my first time here and the primary reason for stopping in was to try their funnel cake. I had checked them out on Yelp ahead of time and knew they had funnel cake. I was able to find a street parking spot in front to the business next door during the lunch hour. Overall a good experience and I would like to come back and reorder that great cheesesteak sandwich. read more

Recently went to the Kickstand for lunch. I had the Fat Boy double burger. It was very large and prepared properly (cooked through). Served with lettuce, tomato, onion. This was the first time I have had a burger that I couldn't smash down to get a complete bite! The onion rings were OK, not battered in house, and I'd probably go with fries if I had it to do over again. Lunch partner had the wings and they were very meaty. She asked for them to be extra crispy and didn't seem like that request was filled. I tried a couple and thought they were good. Inside was spacious and very much a bar setup. Overall a pretty good place if you are in the area. They were setup so you could pay via scanning a QR code with your phone and then could use the wallet on your phone to Apple Pay or I presume Google Pay, so your card never has to be out of your presence. read more

First time in and the building was pretty busy for lunch. That's always a good sign in my book. The menu selections are pretty decent with lots to choose from. The seating area is pretty good size as well. I went for the breaded Tenderloin and it didn't disappoint at all. It was decent sized and had great flavor.I was super pleased with the breading not being super thick and I liked the style of breading used with a touch or corn meal. The sandwich comes with your choice of tots,fries or even onion rings. The rings were pretty good and usually an up charge at many restaurants. Most people don't even know this place is here. It's just off the square in Danville. It's in a bad place and parking is a little hard. But it is well worth it. I had the bread tenderloin and waffle fries they were both delicious. The tenderloin was bread well it was big but not huge but a little thicker than most. Service was good. The menu was a bar menu lot's of appetizer and burgers. They have a Bavarian pretzel on the menu says it's huge . That's something you don't see on a lot of menu's . The bathroom's have just been re done . It was clean. Not to busy for at least the taste of the food I had. I think that's because of the location. All in all it's well worth a try if you are in Danville and are hungry. read more

Would give ZERO stars for service! Didn't even get to try the food. The "girl" taking my daughter's pop order ask for her ID. Confused I responded, "for a pop?" Very rude and sarcastic said, "YEAH!" Shocked I looked at my daughter and said, "oh we have to leave then because we are from IL." She responded, "well you're in a bar!" My husband responded sarcastically with, "thanks for being polite about it" as we were leaving. She responded very loudly, "then go back to Illinois." Stopped in for a carry out order of boneless wings.. was amazed when I got home and found they seemed to be small breast pieces .. cooked and seasoned perfectly! Maybe time of day has a lot to do with how much fun you have at this bar. They have lots of fun nights set up with dancing, Karaoke, and pool tables. I think I saw they even have live entertainment mentioned on their website. But my wife and I stopped in for lunch and with all the room, social distancing wasn't a problem for us. The restrooms had hand sanitizer as well. What we noticed was that nobody in the place, other than us was wearing a mask. The regulars seated at the bar were talking with the bartender/waitress and nobody had a mask. There were other people behind the bar and those ladies were not wearing masks either. My wife and I were thinking that maybe we should go elsewhere, but we were masked up and had used the sanitizer. When the bartender/waitress came over, I asked if she would mind putting on a mask since I am particularly vulnerable due to my chemo for any kind of virus/infection. She apologized and ran out to her car to get her mask. She wore it whenever she came to our table, so we decided to stay. The food was okay. Large portions and reasonable prices and since it was lunch, it wasn't too loud. Our food arrived in an acceptable time frame. My wife thought the club sandwich was just okay. She thought the onion rings were cut too thick. Even though the outside got cooked and crisped, the onion itself was not completely cooked and was chewy. I ordered the 6 pc wings and choice of sauce (I asked for it on the side). The batter on the wings was crisp and crunchy while the chicken was cooked just right (not too dry.) The wings are huge and looked the size of tenders! Plenty to eat. They have a variety of sauce to choose from, but I went with Teryaki on the side. I usually order my sauces on the side since I run into too many places that just smother the chicken in sauce and it overwhelms the flavor of the meat and breading. A little too salty for my preferences, but still a good meal. We got a to go box and our bill promptly when we asked for them. I would have liked to give this place a better rating, but between the staff and the customers roaming around without any regard for covid mandates, I would rather go someplace else with more regard for compliance and customer safety. We're local so we've seen the Kickstand's predecessors and these folks have really turned the place around. It's cleaner than it's ever been but, get this in your head before you read any further. THIS IS A SMOKING BAR.. They have smoke eaters that work well but it's still a smoking bar. If you can't tolerate a smoking bar don't go to this place and bitch about the smoke. It's a smoking bar. Now that we've "cleared" that topic up The food has improved considerably. I like their burger. Very good but they need to butter and grill their burger buns. Chicken wings are very good. I only do bone in traditional. They'll even make you my off menu spicy barbecue sauce if you hold your mouth just right when you ask. Tell them Mac said you're cool. These owners are focused on good service, good food and giving back to the community and those in need. They do fundraisers regularly for local folks and causes in need. Nice stage. So we have been wanting to give this place a try but wouldn't go because they allowed smoking. Once we heard it went smoke free we gave it a try. Lets start with the staff, the young lady that we had waiting on us had a very foul mouth, and it could be heard from across the bar. That was a tad uncomfortable. It isn't like we haven't heard or even used vulgar language but it just gave me an uneasy vibe listening to her throwing the f word around people that clearly could have been her grandparents age. The waitress that brought our food was pleasant and the gentleman that I assume is the owner was quite friendly and seemed to be helping out quite a bit. Now onto the food, I am going to say that their cheese bites are off the charts, and so are their burgers, we really loved the food. Even came back to bring a friend from out of town the next time! Waitress was still there, couldn't remember our drink orders this time and was still running her foul mouth but I was again happy with the food. Its a bar, it isn't a place for kids so if it made me that uncomfortable I wouldn't go back, but it didn't so we will. Good job Kickstand! read more
