Good local spot to support instead of another fast food chain. Very casual with a large bar area as well as a dining room. A good variety of food but heavy on fried etc. Some salads and few vegetarian options. We went on a Weds and the special was old school Hoosier fried chicken, mash potatoes, green beans, and fried biscuits with apple butter. Good sized portions and tasty. They do rotate specials and you need to call as it won't be online. Staff were great. Good spot for families and the bar area has plenty of tv's if you want more casual. I went to Green Street yesterday to do the trivia with friends. The service was great during the trivia. We got food appetizers and drinks and more drinks. They also feature many local beers like Sun King Cream ale which was on special at $5 per can. Also had a good mushroom and Swiss burger with tater tots. Finally the hot fried cheese balls are fantastic as the breading has a little kick. Also the cocktail sauce with these was great. The trivia was excellent with good variety of questions and very fun. We were winning well until the final question. We all had a great time. read more

I didn't realize that you could mess up a club sandwich and a side salad so bad! The salad was brown and wilted. You can tell it was salad from a bag and not fresh. The bread on the club sandwich was soggy and the cheese was dried out and hard. Even the turkey tasted off like it was left out and went bad. The ham was also dried out. I took one bite, spit it out and threw it out. It was a complete waste of money. I will never eat there again. I do NOT suggest anyone eating there. Don't waste your money. read more

Much nicer on the inside then the outside. The plaza is having a major facelift and it is a wreck. Food was decent. Taco Salad and a Chef Salad. Both big and filling. Service was a bit lacking. We were told our server was out back on a smoke break. So we sat for quite awhile without a server. I wasnt sure why somone else couldn't at least take our drink order. We have been here over the years and gotten carryout many times. The food is good. Service is good. We ate in the bar this time and had the hot cheese balls as an appetizer. They were good and crisp and cheesy. They came out quickly and we were happy with our choice. The menu has been trimmed some since the pictures that are posted but they have a nice selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches and chicken and steaks. I ordered the Old MacDonald burger. It comes with bacon and egg on it. It was cooked right and was very tasty. Hubby had the black and bleu burger and was pleased. The fries are good and crisp but not burned or mushy and limp. Hmm...odd to say on this one. More of a bar than a pub. They seem to have great specials at night (smoked ribs and wings), but I stopped for lunch and the menu was limited. I tried the station special- breaded tenderloin with Swiss cheese and ham on top. I asked for mayo for the Sammie and ketchup came with. I got fries, asked for ranch. Sandwich was good and filling and fries were typical bar fries. Ranch game was on point though which surprised me. No Kraft here. Priced just ok. Tastiness of sandwich and ranch earn the 3rd star. read more

Our company reserved a private room to celebrate our 35th year in business. Upon arrival we were informed that the private room we had reserved (well in advance) was not available. We had a speaker and this was extremely disappointing. We were placed in the main dining area which was very loud. I cannot speak to the food quality as my attention was taken trying to make up for the issue. Green Street Pub is a lovely pub filled with locals, and many regulars. The server/bartender is terrific and very friendly. They have a family dining area as well as a large bar with 4-top tables which is where I chose to sit. Several flatscreens are in the bar where patrons were watching the NCCA games. The menu has several Appetizers from Shrimp Cocktail, Shrimp Dilla, Crab Cakes, Clam Strips, Hot Cheese Balls and Wings to name a few. Soup & Salads, Deli Style sandwiches with Chicken or Tuna salad or Ham or Turkey sandwiches are an option. Seven 1/2 lb. burgers are offered (Old McDonald's Farm, Black & Bleu Burger, Turkey Burger, Mushroom Burger plus) and several sandwiches (BLT, Fish, Tenderloin, Bulldog hot dog, Hot Brown or Crab Cake sandwich). I ordered a cup of tasty Clam Chowder and a Hot Brown which is an open faced ham, bacon, turkey and tomato on Texas toast with blended cheeses. No side is included with this sandwich. The sandwich did not disappoint with fresh Texas toast, several slices of Turkey and bacon smoothed in two types of cheeses. Very satisfying and filling and I ended up taking half home for later. Definitely some good food! The potato skins were pretty standard but a great starter. As for the entree, the crab cake sandwich was really awesome... very flavorful and that pepper-jack cheese sauce on it was a nice touch. Service was quick and friendly. The only down side was the furniture and aging decor. The walls were damaged from years of abuse (probably from chairs scraping across them). The table we sat at was really worn and both looked and felt rough, even though you could tell they had been wiped. The chairs were rickety too. read more

Excellent chicken parm! Hubby and I opted to sit in the bar area for our experience. Right away, we were waited on, and our drink orders were taken. There were tons of TVs with a couple of different basketball games on that you could see from just about every angle. So, for you sports fanatics, this would be a good place to hang. Shortly after taking our drink orders, she returned with them (I had an Angry Orchard, hubby drank water...he's the adventurous type) and took our food order. I was definitely in the mood for chicken parmesan. She asked if I wanted it breaded or grilled. I responded that I would like it breaded. I substituted chicken tortilla soup for the salad that normally comes with the dinner. It came out almost immediately and was very good. Nice, rich flavor with plenty of crispy tortilla strips on top. Our food arrived in a timely manner. My chicken parm wasn't breaded but BATTERED! OMG! I loved it! I'll take something battered over something breaded any day. It had plenty of pasta noodles (sketti), and nice tomato sauce, a good amount of cheese, and a very nice portion of that battered chicken. Wowsa! This is something that I would not only come back for, I would make the drive from Mooresville to Brownsburg for this! We just happened to be in the area. But really, I would seek this out! And I will! Our service was excellent. She took really good care of not only us but of the others that were seated within the bar area. Good service and a warm, inviting atmosphere for this restaurant. We took our granddaughters with us and although it says it is a pub, the pub is in a separate room from the dining. The portions were generous and the food didn't take long to come out. Our granddaughters were able to find things to order from the kids' menu (cheese quesadillas and a large hot dog with fries.) My wife ordered a Taco Salad and the shell was nice and crisp even when stuffed with the salad and meat (she chose the beef). Pretty tasty! The only negative was the Blackened Chicken and Shrimp Penne that I ordered. Although there was plenty of seasoning sprinkled around the large dish, the shrimp and chicken were not blackened, looking rather pale, or in the shrimp's case, white. I am used to having the seasoning added during the cooking process and actually turning the meats dark/black, so this was disappointing. Sure, I was able to get a bit of cajun seasoning flavor, but the blackening adds a depth to the flavor. Lots to eat, just not as enjoyable as I had hoped. I would probably order something else next time. Service was attentive and prompt all through the dinner. My boyfriend had told me about Green Street's exclusive smoked wings they serve at the bar only on Thursdays. The wings are 50¢ each, with several sauces to choose from (you can have them tossed, sauce on the side, or both). These wings were very good. I got mild buffalo and he got hot buffalo. The meat literally falls off the bone. I should have gotten some extra sauce on the side, because the wings were a tad dry, but definitely still tasty. We got a total of 23 wings, an order of fries, a large Miller Lite draught, and 2 Captain and Cokes between the 2 of us, and our bill was just a little over $37. Not too shabby. The service was fine. A lady server and the bartender both tended to us. You can tell this is one of those local watering holes for Brownsburg residents. They also smoke ribs on Thursdays, but we didn't get there till 8PM and they were sold out. So my husband and I went here a couple of weeks ago. So to say we were disappoint is a definite understatement. I am going to start with we were told 30 to 45 minutes to get sat and then after 20 we were sat but there were like 12 tables open. Can you say ridulous! First I asked for water with lemon. And they were out of lemon. Ummm hello isn't there a kroger right next door. Go buy some....secondly aren't you a bar as well. And last I checked lemon and limes are in most bar caddies. Just saying... Second. My husband wanted to try something that had alfredo sauce in it. And they said they were out or alfredo. Again. It was 730p on a Friday. Make some more... So we order fish and chips and the some kind of baked pasta dish. Lets just say for the $60 we spend on 2 dinners and the fried pickles. It was not good. I could of went to fazolis and got a better pasta dish and that isn't saying much. Heck I could of popped open a can of spaghetti o's and plopped some shred Kraft cheese on it and it would of had more taste and flavor. And my husband mashed potatoes were the instant mash potatos like the kind you get at Krogers. (Idahian potatos) It gets even better and we sit there watching other tables make faces of how they didn't like there food or steaks were grossly under cooked or over cooked. I ordered take-out burger with onion rings. On the website, it says all burgers come with lettuce, onion, pickle, etc. I received only a burger and bun. The onion rings tasted like dough because they were super soggy and undercooked. I called in and was advised that the burgers come plain unless you specifically ask for the toppings that the website says comes with every burger. Not good and poor service read more

I can't say enough good things about Green Street, but their customer service is the best of the best! I ordered carry out tonight and a newer server accidentally gave me the wrong order and I didn't notice until I went home. I called to see if I could get a refund because i was not able to eat the food given to me due to allergies and the manager drove to the apartment I was at and hand delivered the food to me, plus she gave me a free dessert! Instead of just giving me a refund, she wanted to make sure I got the food I ordered and I was so excited about that because I was looking forward to their yummy breaded mushrooms and breaded chicken salad!
