Each family prepares a meal and we just have a good time. The Jenne Farm is a fantastic spot to let the woes of city life disappear while you sit on the porch of the 100 year old farm house. Take walks through the farm land and forests visit the beach nearby and mainly just relax. Chat with the farmers who stop buy nearly daily to tend to things they will give you farm fresh eggs even take you on a hay ride. I got to drive the tractor...felt like a kid again! Nice quiet neighborhood with amazing views of Mt. Baker and the Cascades. Great walking along the sandy beach at low tide just steps from the front yard. The house has a ramp from the private driveway and a step-in shower which are( perfect for my 86-year old mom who has some mobility issues), plenty of beds for us and our companions, two nice full bathrooms plus a half bath, and a big great room living area with a nice functional kitchen, dining room, and family room. The yard is spacious and even has a play area with swings and slides that were great fun to explore with my 5 year-old great nephew. The Admiral House isn't fancy, but it's clean and nicely decorated. We'll return again and highly recommend this if you want to stay in a nice home within walking distance of downtown Coupeville.

We complained that the bed was super hard and felt like sleeping on the floor so they offered a refund which was nice for the rest of the time but we could not afford to change so we stayed and dealt with it which I would have left a four star review for the customer service but after finding out they blocked us, it is the true one star review because of multiple factors. They are not insulated well so you can hear everything your neighbor does so we didn't sleep well because of the bed plus noise. The place had no silverware at all yet it had a knife and cutting board with wine opener? It was also dirty, we had to clean the sink which had brown crud all over the bottom which wiped away easily showing the cleaning service does the absolutely bare minimum and likely doesn't really scrub anything, the tea kettle had white crust all on the inside and same with the coffee maker so I had to clean both myself as well. The heater was great but the chairs for the table were super unstable and cannot support an adult. The view was great despite being blocked by power lines. Parking was perfect. We would not stay here again given the owners poor ability to accept anything but a five star review and the uncomfortable bed.

We stayed this weekend in the Shaharazad suite. My favorite part was it had a giant jacuzzi tub, a huge double headed walk in shower and also a deck to enjoy the views from! Another great bonus is it had a small kitchen, the fridge was especially convenient to hold leftovers etc. We only stayed one night but I'd love to go back and spend 2-3 nights as it was very relaxing and a perfect spot to enjoy some time away from home. The place was absolutely disgusting. Pictures are at least a decade old. Fire hazzards everywhere. There is no way the place is up to code. Basically a bait and switch. They shouldn't be allowed to keep our money. The Bates Motel would have been better.

Booking was a breeze, advanced communication was timely and informative, check-in was friendly and easy, and even the drive across the island from Friday Harbor was engaged and informative. But the real magic happened on the water, where we started under mild, overcast skies, and ended with sunshine and perfect weather. Along the way we saw: 1 black fox, 2 harbor seals, 1 harbor porpoise, a rhinoceros auklet (unique diving sea bird), 13+ Bald Eagles, AND TWO HUMPBACK WHALES! The beach side lunch was fantastic... the best turkey sandwich I've ever had, made exceptional by the views and the company. The lack of an Orca sighting made this full day trip an eyelash shy of perfect, but we could not have otherwise been more thrilled with our experience on the water with Brandon and the Discovery Sea Kayak team. PS - we paid half as much for a full day tour with Discovery as we did for a half day tour on Orcas Island, so this group gets our strongest recommendation!
