When I took my two children there the first day was horrible first the bus kids next to my son were showing lack of respect and kindness they were saying rude things and plus the bus driver didn't even care! She just told my daughter to shut her mouth and then no one shared anything with her they only shared with the other kids and was kind to them just them and were rude to my son and daughter so next I drove them to school and then they were mean to her. The next day my son got bullied by kids in the other 2nd grade class so then I pulled them out of the school then put them in a other school. read more

We took our 5 year old granddaughter to see this wonderful production of Cinderella at the King' s Academy Theatre. From the moment we got to the parking lot, the service was incomparable . Since my husband is handicapped, they came with a golf cart to bring him directly to the theater entrance so as not to walk so far. The theater is incredible. We were escorted to our seats and it felt like we were at a Broadway Theater but better because it was Modern and roomier. The seats were extremely comfortable and everything looked brand-new. The cast of Cinderella was made up of young children through High School. The performance utilized a full live Orchestra and showcased exceptional staging and imaginative production. We absolutely loved the costumes which were brought in from a New York Theater Company. David Snyder, the producing artistic director is well known as a television and theater production designer. They teach wonderful life values/lessons to the children as well as excel in academics. King's academy on Belvedere road. They are hosting a track meet for 10 schools -like each school does-but King's is charging a "spectator fee." That means every parent, student, sibling must pay King's academy to watch his/her child, sibling or friend participate in the track meet. They advertise "where Christ is King," but it is the only school-public or private-to force parents to pay to watch their children participate in a sport. A "spectator fee?" I can't imagine anything more disgusting & unchristian. No other host school charges an entrance fee. read more

Moved to Royal Palm Beach from Atlanta due to active duty Navy orders. My 2 year old went to Primrose school in Atlanta since she was 18 months. Absolutely no issues, loved that school. So moving to RPB I was disappointed to not have a lot of well known daycare centers available. Toured the Kings Academy Preschool at Connect Church and thought it would be a great school for my little girl. They have smaller classes and great security and the director, Ms. Overson always seemed to be there. My daughter was diagnosed a year ago with CMS, a neuromuscular disease that causes muscle fatigue in her legs after long periods of play. Due to that she has to be given medicine every day at Noon. She is a little behind in her speech also. Within the first week we received a incident report that she had hit another child. We talked to her about being nice to her new friends. The next three days in a row it seemed they wrote her up for fighting over a toy. Then a bite report, which took us by complete surprise because that had never been an issue. Long story, short.... Within 40 days of being at the daycare she was "suspended" for 16 days due to bitting/aggression. Now remember we are talking about a 2 YEAR OLD. The last straw, tuition was due monthly by the 5th of every month. My daughter was just coming off of her 2nd suspension, it was a Thursday and she had been good all week, we paid tuition that Thursday and Friday morning the director called at 10am and said that our daughter had scratched another child and needed to be picked up. She was now suspended for 2 weeks, which meant for the whole month of December due to the holiday. The director could explain the whole story of what happened back and forth between my daughter and the other child, but in all that time couldn't intervene to prevent the incident. How would anyone be able to rely on this as child care. After 2 weeks we were on pins and needles every day dropping her off. The last suspension was it, because due to their rules that meant my daughter would have to NEVER get in one more altercation for the next 2 years or would be expelled. I knew that was a set up for failure. In my heart I truly feel that they were trying to get rid of my daughter because of her disabilities. She was more work than the other cookie cutter kids. She needed medicine daily and couldn't communicate as well as the other kids. Guess she didn't fit the "mold" that King's Academy expects. It broke my heart, I just knew taking her to a Christian preschool would be the best thing for acceptance and love, I was wrong. So basically they gave us no other choice, we had to find child care somewhere else. Their handbook states that tuition is non-refundable if your child is suspended and to withdraw there is a $200 fee. So by the 4th of December we were looking at giving them $1088 just to go find child care elsewhere. I told my husband to cancel the check he wrote for tuition! The main preschool director Jane Winters was very nice and understanding, even made it sound like she knows the rules are ridiculous. She was nice enough to say they weren't going to charge us the withdraw fee and then a week later the Center director Ms Overson called and said they weren't going to charge us for the tuition. Hmmmm. Sounds nice? Sounds like hey want us to go away quietly. I am looking into filing an equal opportunity complaint against the center. If they'll do it to my child they'll do it to yours. read more

The school does not follow its own handbook regarding policies for discipline nor sick. They govern their policies based off of their own individual decisions and make preferential treatment. The teachers are unprofessional and prior to my withdrawal date had already deactivated the keypad allowing us access. read more

My girls love The King's Academy. It is unlike any other School. It seems that there is a circle of friends for every child. There is a no bullying policy, but from what I can see, they do not have a problem with that anyway. That is a major, major plus for us as we have had a problem with that at a past school my kids attended and it was devastating. I have spoken to other kids at the school and heard some of the same sentiments from them. We are so thankful for the friends my kids have made and the wonderful teachers at TKA. read more

Fantastic school. I never knew how much of a difference a Christian education could make but our three kids have really thrived here. The academics are rigorous and challenging. They are really prepping our kids for college. The Conservatory of the Arts is second to none. Every show we have to remind ourselves these are "only" high school students performing.
