So I called to order because I thought it'd be easier. They didn't know what they had on their menu. I asked for crab rangoon and the lady asked me "is that an appetizer?" And then tried to order moo goo gai pan and she still didn't understand, so she put on someone else to take my order. Anyway, I ordered and they said it would take 10 minutes. So I go and it wasn't ready for 25 minutes. I should have checked the order, because they put cold potstickers in instead of crab rangoon. The price total was more expensive than I saw online later. I used to love this place. It was my go to on the Westside. It's been a couple years since I visited and I'm sad to say we were vastly disappointed by the food tonight. We ordered vegetable and bbq pork low mein and orange chicken with a side of steamed rice. The total was just over $40 and the portions were okay. Both of the low mein entrees were overwhelmingly salty. The orange chicken had potential but it was unfortunately past it's prime (it wasn't fresh). I will say the customer service was absolutely incredible! The young lady who took our order was friendly and accurate and she even called us when our order was ready, which was quick. Hope we just hit a bad night but I doubt we'll try again anytime soon. read more

ILLEGAL SCAMMING GOING ON HERE. First, their dine-in menu says they have lunch special "everyday" - they changed it to weekdays only supposedly. Hoping that at least matches with what they tell everyone else. Then we order our meals, and when we get the bill, the prices don't match the menu. We were not informed of this. Whatever, we pay it. But then I decided to add up the total for the meal and it turns out the total for the meal they gave us doesnt match up with the cost of our meal including tax. After some unsavory inquiry, she finally gives us a receipt showing a 15% gratuity charge? For 2 people dining? Without informing us beforehand? The way they tried to sneakily add that in without showing it or telling us to begin with. This all seems intentional. Shady business. read more

We've given them about a dozen second chances, and they've blown it each and every single time. They lose orders. They garble orders. They pay no attention to scheduled pick-up times. The service was quick, the front staff was friendly, but the food was flavorless, and unfortunately we seemed to have gotten the bottom of the pan of the orange chicken because half of what we got was burnt sauce chunks. I like this restaurant, they have good food and many varieties on the menu, my fave is popcorn chicken, the fried rice and kungpao chicken they cook the food so greasy and their portions is embarrassing, if ypu order fried rice, often time they are barely half the container. read more

They are AWFUL. A few months ago we ordered to go directly from the restaurant. When we went to pick up they insisted they did not have an order for us. We went over the name and the items. But nothing. So we left and got food elsewhere. 15 minutes later they called asking where we were because our order had been ready!! We let it slide, it was a busy weekend. So we ordered again tonight via Grubhub for pick up. Was given a time frame of 20-40 minutes. We go pick up and find out that the 10 people in front of us have been waiting upwards for 2 hours when they had been given similar quotes! The employees ignored the customers, like literally refused to answer questions. But yet they were trying to answer their phone and take more orders! After waiting an hour, we left. Spent another 30 minutes of our time on hold with Grubhub to get a refund. And the kicker is that they Grubhub agent said the order had been marked as complete by the restaurant when we know for a fact that it wasn't. I am posting this story on every AV group I am in. I will tell all friends and family. I wish someone would open a GOOD Chinese restaurant out here. Every place blows, but Kirin Hut has to be the worst. Dinner time and we decided on this little place. Here is what we got and our review..... Popcorn Chicken: The chicken was very crunchy from the outside. It has fried basil. It came with dipping sauce. It was well seasoned. It was very delicious. Orange chicken: You can request it spicy if you like your food with a kick. It was the best orange chicken I've had in a long time. It comes with a small bowl of steam rice. The rice was fluffy not hard like some restaurants. You get a big serving of chicken it's enough for 2 people. Chicken fried rice: It had plenty of chicken and it was well seasoned. Vanilla shake: was really good it came with whipped cream. Overall we enjoyed our meal. It came hot, tasted great, and it was all well seasoned. I highly recommend the popcorn chicken for an appetizer. Customer service was great. We got our table right away and she took care of us getting our order. We will come back again to eat at this establishment. Delicious dinner for 2 adults and one child under $40!! I'm literally in tears. Have you ever worked 18 hour days, week over week, saving and exhausted? All I wanted was some yellow curry. I ordered 5 or 6 entrees- coming out to $90. This is my first time at the kirin hut. My usual place, spicy Thai is closed on Mondays. I went and picked up my food and was excited. I haven't had time to decompress in weeks- I haven't eaten out or had any extra money. I spent it all on this meal. Jesus. I get home and open my curry. It's literally a bunch of veggies and no broth/soup. It's a thick gel/gravy. I'm so tripped out. I know this can't be right. I open my king pao and taste it.. no flavor. The portions are big, they look good (minus the curry- that shit didn't look anything like curry). The food has noooo flavor. I have no idea what other ppl are ordering at this place. I call the restaurant, confused. They basically told me I'm SOL- they'll refund me for the kung pao but everyone loves their curry. I just cried. I'm not a broke bi***.. I'm not entitled.. I'm not a scammer.. I'm just a regular ass person, trying to enjoy a meal out. I threw a bunch of chili oil, sesame oil, salt, garlic.. whatever I could put on this food to try to get it to taste good. It doesn't. Also, the woman on the phone was attempting to be polite I'm assuming but it was condescending.. she said things like "yeah, $90 is a lot of money. Sorry.. can't help you".. I think people need to realize that some of us are on the brink of mental collapse, just holding on by a thread to some semblance of happiness- even if that's just a stupid bowl of yellow curry. read more

My first impression of this Establishment, one word Awesome. They had Singapore Noodles and it was delicious. I was shocked to see Singapore Noodles. It looks just as good as it tastes! Had a friend pronounce it for me back in the day. He called it Sumsie Mifun. I had also ordered pot stickers and that was awesome as well. It's a bit hidden, but if you're from around here, you probably know about this place. It was a take out order. This place a well hidden Gem. Singapore Noodles is my comfort food. This restaurant needs a Gordon Ramsey intervention immediately. This was my 2nd visit, and the food was still horrible. I ordered the orange chicken (their specialty)...the chicken was hard and the orange sauce was not orange but dark brown and tasted spoiled. I also ordered Egg Fu yon, and it had something crispy inside that tasted like egg shells. The gravy for this dish was "thin" and horrible tasting. With over 100 items on the menu...this menu needs to be down-sized, and the chef should concentrate on featured cooked dishes... vs. relying on frozen food that tastes microwaved. I do not recommend this restaurant, nor will I be returning until the food is better quality. read more

The food was great. Bbq Pork Ribs were delicious, I crave them now. Kung Pao Chicken was some of the best Ive ever had. Chicken chop suey was really good.
