We recently visited the historic town of Ligonier, just about an hour and 20 minutes from us, and I was reminded of how special this place truly is. We were in town to pick up gifts as part of our 2024 Laurel Highlands Pour Tour experience, but we couldn't resist stopping for lunch at a delightful little spot in town. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and our waitress--whose name I sadly forgot--was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, attentive, and made our visit even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding, exceeding all our expectations. They also offer a great selection of drinks, including beer, wine, and whiskey, making it a fantastic spot for any occasion. I couldn't help but feel envious of those who live in this charming town and can walk to places like this anytime they want. Ligonier's rich history and small-town charm make it a true gem. Excellent breakfast, whether you want something more upscale or traditional pancakes and eggs. The smoked salmon is a tad salty and the hash fries a little rich for my taste, but that's all the bad I can say. Good service, but it can get busy during the weekend brunch hours. read more

I ordered an Italian omelette, (I'm not sure why), it had hot sausage, peppers, and provolone cheese. My problem with the omelette was that the ingredients inside were runny and ran out of every bite. My buddy had French toast and sausage which he said were okay, but nothing special. Our verdict was that it was not horrible but not special enough for us to make a return trip.

They are nestled in the woods and sunshine peeks through the trees for a most serene dining experience. I commented that even if it were raining, you would be comfortable due to the design of the pods. There is a wide overhang so the rain wouldn't bother you coming in through the screens.
