I know of several other unhappy customers so do your homework before hiring these con artist. Mike charged us for a mid priced remodel but used the cheapest Home Depot fixtures. We expected quality craftsmanship and what we got was a lot diy corner cutting. I've worked with many contractors and service people .... working with Dreammakers Bath and Kitchen of Lansing/ Mike Fischer Builders was hands down the worse experience of my life. To date, we've spent over $20k fixing his shoddy work and I'd say we'll need to spend another $40k getting everything to code. So disappointing! And this is just the tip of the iceberg regarding our experience. During mediation, we had to hire experts to assess the flooring. His expert agreed with our expert that it was an installation fail and Mike still refused to make it right. We had to spend thousands on lawyers fees to get him to do the right thing. Now we have to spend thousands more repairing our home. Our master bathroom has to be gutted because it wasn't sealed properly. Our tub doesn't work because it was not installed properly. Over 2000 square feet of expensive eucalyptus flooring has to be removed because it was not acclimated or installed properly and the warranty is void because of his negligence. He didn't finish the hvac. We found ducts that were not closed off during our hvac reconstruction, essentially we were heating the walls and basement ceiling. He left holes in our basement where they removed plumbing. There were tiling issues, pencil marks on walls, incorrect countertops installed, dented cabinets that they refaced with cheap plywood. We gave Mike close to a year to rectify before we filed suit against him. Update #1: recently, we discovered water coming through our ceiling from our attic. We had a specialist go into the attic to see why or if we had a roof leak. Nope!!! Mike Fischer had vented our exhaust fans from our bathroom directly into the attic, not venting it through the roof and out of the house. As result, it created damage to our attic and roof. Another $30,000 repair due to mikes complete negligence and incompetence. Please please do yourself, your home, and your money a favor and don't hire these scammers.

I ordered a product in-store, at the same time as purchasing other items and the employee said I'd receive a call or email in a couple weeks once the item had shipped. After a bit passed the time I hadn't heard anything so I stopped in to check in on it. To both of our surprise, and mistake, we saw and realized the order had a delivery date of the year 2027. I asked if it was real, or a typo, or something that could be addressed and fixed. Then he checked for it online, and the item and all its variations were gone, even the corresponding sku number was attached to a different item all of a sudden. He was unsure and was eager to help, get more information from the vendor. He notated my contact info, and said he would get back to me soon. Almost a week later, I was called and told the item was no longer available to Menards, and that I would need to be refunded for it. I said okay, but that I had just had foot surgery literally 2 days ago, and that I would be in for the refund as soon as medically allowed to be up and on my feet again. Since then, that Menards store has called me EIGHT times, leaving voicemails asking me to come in for the refund, it had only been a month. I let them know I had an appointment that week and would then know better when I could make it in. She was insistent I come in, to which I asked why it was so urgent I rush foot surgery recovery to come in for an error in your system. It was said to me that the paperwork was cluttering up the work area and needed to be cleared up. Are seriously expecting me to believe a big box company of your stature doesn't have filing cabinets or proper processes to keep paperwork in order? I went in yesterday to get the refund, however I was denied the refund of the money I paid because the card I used was no longer active- it had expired. Credit and debit cards all come with expiration dates that are enforced and are out of the cardholder's control. So, I was told that basically, my money is being held hostage and the refund was available as store credit only, regardless of the receipt in my hand or the base error being of your cause. This is wholly unacceptable and certainly feels not legal at all. I am prepared to provide the dates and times of the phone calls if necessary. However, when the sheets arrived, they were neither. I put in a request to return them and was told that I would have to pay $30.00 in shipping and handling, which was half of what I paid for the sheets. Never again! So if you are considering ordering from Bed Bath and Beyond, my best advice is to MAKE SURE that you know what you are getting or good luck being able to return your item!
