I appreciate it just being me and like the specialist. She did not use a measuring tape. She clocked it with her eyes on her first try, which is pretty amazing. She obviously knows what she's doing. She really made me feel comfortable, and there were dressing room curtains for me to use when trying on different things. I feel like she really prioritized my needs versus trying to get me to buy many bras, like some other places do. I told her that I plan on losing weight soon and she agreed that I should just stick to one bra. She helped me choose a bra that would be flexible and accommodate some weight fluctuations. I got like a lot of education on like how to properly wear a bra, sizing in different countries, different types of bras, etc. I'm really grateful for it. I had such a lovely experience at The Lace Lounge last week! I at first thought it was strange that only one person is allowed in the fitting (the person being fitted), but upon entering the cozy shop I immediately appreciated the rule. It's a very intimate experience with completely personalized attention from Tiffany, the business owner. She brought me so many lovely bras and panties within the space of our time together, and having someone else there would have been distracting, and I probably wouldn't have had as much time to make my decisions (and there were many decisions to make, based on the number of selections that Tiffany brought out). I left with pieces that I otherwise would never have tried on, let alone LOVED. Tiffany really knows her inventory, and was very patient and explanatory (and funny! We were laughing like old friends!). She showed me that I've been wearing the wrong size my entire adult life, and opened my eyes to lovely options that made me feel beautiful and confident (again, styles I would normally shy away from if I were searching online or at Victoria's Secret). And the items I bought were surprisingly well-priced! Definitely worth every penny of the reservation fee (which is credited toward the purchase anyway). LIFE CHANGING! I found the Lace Lounge after walking into a chain lingerie store, nearly having a panic attack, then jumping on Yelp with a simple search for "bras." The reviews were all excellent, so I made an appointment and everything exceeded my expectations! It had been 7ish years since I bought proper bras and they were starting to give out; along with purchasing some D2C brands that didn't live up to their claims. Ever since puberty I've had larger breasts but a smaller frame which is a blessing but can complicate things. I prefer to minimize my breasts than have them uniboobed and pushed up to my neck. Comfort is also key. I brought in a tight tee shirt and thin vintage sweater to try on bras with. I don't know how many bras I tried on, but it was A LOT. And Tiffany is a saint. She was patient, incredibly knowledgeable and like a BFF through the whole process. I learned so much, left with 4 bras that fit perfectly and restored confidence. So unfortunate that I have to draft this negative review, but this business owner was so incredibly rude, that I feel obligated to warn you. Here's what went down...my 15yo daughter needed to be fitted for a bra. We were so excited to find a shop with this service. We made a same-day appt. The appointment setting software had a drop-down menu with many open time slots for that day. I choose one and paid the $35 deposit requested. We jumped in our car headed to the shop and got rear-ended on the freeway (not our doing). In the midst of all the chaos, I STILL THOUGHT to call the shop to report what was going on. Before I could even get into what was actually going on, the voice on the other end of the phone was so nasty and short with me that I was taken totally off guard. I tried to explain that we were experiencing an emergency but she didn't even let me finish. I was even willing to call an Uber to still make the appt in spite of the wreck, or reschedule altogether, but the voice on the other end was not trying to work with us. She was real quick to tell me that "we were taking up a spot someone else could have had". Really?! Because when we made the appointment (just a few hours earlier - remember...it was a SAME DAY appt), there were a page full of open appointments to choose from! There is NO WAY that many folks were calling up to schedule same day bar-fitting appts such that we were denying this owner business! I offered to just reschedule. She was adamant that I pay her another deposit to secure the appt. It felt desperate and greedy...and unethical. When I questioned and tried to reason, she hung up on me. I am also a small business owner and I understand policy, but come on. This was totally ridiculous. I would never treat paying customers this way. Never. I also just read the other negative customer reviews and I can tell from the petty responses this owner has chosen to give that this is a lost cause. We googled another bra-fitting business and bought over $500 worth of bras (I bought bras for myself, 2 daughters, a mother & Mother-in-law)! Getting the right size bra can change your life! Tiffany does sometimes have same day appointments, but I say schedule it ahead of time and enjoy the process! I definitely appreciated knowing no one was going to walk in while I was working through some body issues, and that I had her complete attention during my appointment. Parking was super easy as there is a free garage underneath the plaza. I came in looking for a bra for a specific dress, and there were plenty of bras in my size to choose from. The store skews more toward functional everyday bras, so my ultimate preference was one that I can wear after the event as well. I loved what I was shown and went ahead and bought another bra as well even though I think Tiffany thought I was going to buy just the less expensive option. Tiffany was a gem, completely professional but personable. She asked questions about what I wanted the bra to do and really catered to that. She was able to find many options in my size and got them to face forward. A coworker already commented that it looks like I lost weight. The Lace Lounge was the answer to my prayers. Bra fittings I had done at national-chains-that-shall-not-be-named led to poor results when they tried to make my body fit into their limited range of products, rather than the other way around. Attempts to measure myself and buy a suitable bra online ended in a lot of wasted time and money. I was cautious about getting an in-person bra-fitting done in COVID times, but I finally caved. I was pleased to find that The Lace Lounge had specific policies about mask-wearing, and that they have only one client in the shop at a time. I was even happier to find that Tiffany was extremely knowledgeable about the product and incredibly helpful in finding the right fit. She was thorough in determining the right style for me and helping me narrow down my options to a few great choices. She also taught me a lot about fit that I didn't know, as well as useful techniques for making sure a bra sits and supports me the way it should.
