They are sparkly clean with a big reflection from the sun! It burned my eyes looking at them in the sun. One good thing about this park is the number of spider webs that you can climb onto besides the steps that you can go onto. This park also has clean sprinklers at the feet level and big sprinklers that come and go. Very clean and safe. Most important thing is the safety issue. I have a stroller with belongings and they were untouched the whole time I was in the park so that's a plus! Also this park is gated from the public and only families with toddlers and kids can go in. Very family oriented. Will definitely stop by more when I'm in this area.

The day I visited there were many Nannies with small children going in and out of the gate. It's a place I will not enter unless I'm with a friend that has small children. There's bucket and tire swings, an amphitheater spray feature, two granite slides set into a hill, a rustic net climber, and a sandbox and sand table. As I said I love this landscape with rustic structures and stone bridge. You need to visit and enjoy! By the way, no restroom!

They need to remove the large mound of sand - it's a real eyesore that spoils the NY views. Brooklyn Bridge Park has much better views but it has a crowded corporate feel. This park is much more relaxed and off the beaten path. There are a ton of dogs running around - on and off leash. Also several nice benches and free street parking nearby. And don't forget about the key lime pie shop along the way.

The pier itself juts about 300' or so out into Buttermilk Channel. It offers nice views of the bay, the Statue of Liberty, New Jersey and lower Manhattan. When I was there last week after visiting a local distillery there were many people out enjoying the nice weather on a Saturday afternoon. A group of dogs were frolicking in the waters off the small beach. Would I swim there, ah probably not. Red Hook was a heavily industrialized area and had an active shipping terminal not too long ago. However the waters in the Hudson Bay are much cleaner than forty years ago. Maybe a dip ankle deep.

Tremont Park is a medium-size green space in the middle of Tremont neighborhood in north-western…read moreBronx. It borders to the north with E Tremont Avenue, to the east with Arthur Avenue, to the south with E 175th Street, and to the west with Third Avenue. On the north-west corner there's an ornate staircase that climbs to some grassy fields. In 1995 the park was renovated, and several additions were made: chess/checkers tables, a baseball/softball field, spray showers, racquetball courts, and some new trees. The place is peaceful... I was here last weekend and there was barely anybody around. You would think that those amenities would attract locals, but it's just not happening. You can tell that, despite its huge potential, this park has been neglected by the city. The staircase is heavily damaged, the grass is a couple of feet high in some places, and there's a feeling of partial abandonment strolling it's paths. It's a pity, because it could look awesome. The close vicinity of this park with commercial and touristic Arthur Avenue could play a vital role in resuscitating its usage. However, the Italian Arthur Avenue is several blocks north, and a few minutes walk from here.

Kingsland Wildflowers does not have open hours to the general public unless it is by a reserved organized tour or event. Who knew that such a rooftop garden existed on Broadway Stages in the cuts of Greenpoint? If you enjoy nature, views of the city, and urban farming, you will get a kick out of Kingsland Wildflowers. The wildflowers are lush and thriving on this roof. It has three different levels and a gorgeous clean landscape. I was really impressed and felt at peace. If you can feel peace in front of a gaudy wastewater treatment plant complete with sewer odors, then you have achieved something great. It took three years to complete all three phases of this roof. The New York City Audobon is doing great things for the environment on this roof. Happy birds, bees, insects, plants, flowers, and soon bats. Yes, there are bats in the city!

Beautiful views and pictures of the sunset from the trail. Breathing good clean air from the ocean was refreshing. There are views of Manhattan from across the bay. Sadly, the skyline is tainted by a brown haze. The pollution is so blatantly obvious, looking North and South, the brown haze fades. I did not waste the data on a bad picture.

Dream Mall has loads of attractions and today we went to this ones!…read more Sunsets have always been a sight to behold of, but on this ride when hitting the very top and seeing the sunset at its peek really does hit different. We got the gold pass which is 30$ compared to the economy which is 24$, but when it's not busy, I recommend economy since we were the only ones there and that defeated the purpose of a private ride. Overall worth trying at least one.
