There is a paved path so you can run, walk or bike ride without the fear of dealing with traffic. When traveling West to East, there's a decline and we always feel the incline when traveling back from a 3-4 mile run. This is a nice start to a long run because it leads eastward to the northbound trail that runs along the I-95, the trails that lead to City Island, Pelham Bay Park and Orchard Beach and the Northbound trail that heads along Shore Road to New Rochelle. It's peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a quiet walk, a photo session, or just relaxing with a coffee while enjoying the view. There's public parking, and depending on the day, you might even find an ice cream truck. A few blocks away, you'll find restaurants and cafes, making it a great stop before or after a meal. You can even walk or bike the entire stretch from Weehawken to West New York along the waterfront. Whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop here even just for a few minutes. It never disappoints.
