This place is spectacular. Vibes are good, decor is visually appealing, staff is swift and friendly, and the food is top notch. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful renovated building with very enjoyable inside and outside seating. Friendly staff and great menu including breakfast and lunch. The only shop open in the evening. Definitely will visit again soon.

I'm so happy to have this place in syracuse! It's a much needed addition to our home town. Fantastic food, good service, great vibe! For an appetizer - try the fish bites - they melt in your mouth!!! The dates are pretty good but I didn't love them. For dinner, the salmon was phenomenal! I also LOVE the Bibimbap - it is amazing. Kelly's house made kimchi is one of a kind. Prices for dinner are spendy for Syracuse. We spent around $100 per person and that included a drink or two, sharing a couple appetizers dinner, and sharing a dessert. Free street parking outside. I highly recommend this place when you come to northern Indiana, you've got to have lunch for dinner here.

Dinner at Kelly Jae's is always a great decision. Their food is stellar, and the bar knows how to make a very good cocktail too. Menu is always rotating, which is fun and impressive that their consistent quality of dish and tastiness never wavers. Also, the service is always solid. Everyone is very friendly. It can sometimes be tough to get a dinner reservation for the weekend in the summer, but they do their best to accommodate. Lively atmosphere, but never over the top.

My S/O made reservations for my birthday as we had just driven in from DC and I couldn't have had a more stellar experience. Table by the window? Check. Perfect martini? Check. The food was phenomenal, everything had wonderful, balanced flavor and the large plate portions were generous. Highly recommend the asparagus salad and the wasabi pea-encrusted salmon if it's available on the menu, and the fries were perfect although the portion was small. Kelly Jae's punches well above their weight and finally means we don't have to settle for "lake food" when visiting the lake!

Started off with the cheese curds. Well, they aren't really curds in the normal sense. The are creamy cubes of cheese breaded and fried. We really liked them. Different to say the least. I love meat loaf. I was really happy to see that as a menu choice. That was my order. It was good, but the glaze topping was really sweet. Almost too much. And the loaf was not dense at all (good thing!). My wife ordered the Chicken Bau buns. The first one she bit into was undercooked. Zero problem getting that replaced by a very polite and apologetic cook. Other entrees were the hangar steak (excellent) and blackened shrimp salad (also great). Finished off with a chocolate crème brûlée. Wonderful. Service was wonderful. We did not ask for anything because of the undercooked chicken. Our server removed it from the bill anyway. That's how you know a restaurant cares and wants you back. And we will be.

It really is a must try if you are looking g for a dinning experience. The facility is small and parking out back can be a challenge. Making reservations is easy on their website. I would encourage this as it is nice to have and be able to relax. The team here is great. Addie greeted us and quickly got us to our table. She was friendly, all smiles and quick to make sure our water glasses were refilled. Chelsea was our waitress. She made us feel right at home and welcomed. She made sure to follow up regularly with us and was very friendly. Corey, one of the owners and chefs, came out to meet us. You could tell that he was genuinely glad we were there and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the cook. The atmosphere is very quaint. The dining area is small but overly packed or loud. The white table coverings and dim lights were nice. There was soft jazz music overhead and an interesting collection of local art work on the wall. I was surprised that Chance didn't have much drink service outside of beer and wine. There is a bar predominantly places in the restaurant but no liquor items to serve. The wine list was moderately large and had a couple items that would appeal to dry red wine drinkers. One of the things I like about Chance is the selection of small plate shareables. You can make a meal out of a couple or accent an entree as an appetizer. We like to get several of these to sample. We started with the beer bread. The comes with two large slices of bread. The bread is served room temperature. This leads you to conclude, at first bite, that the bread is a bit dry and stale. The bread is thick and dense. It does has a drier taste but it isn't dry. There is a good beer flavoring present. The honey butter was fun. The butter chunk was thicker and hard. The honey was drizzled over the top with possibly a little cinnamon accent. You had to work a little to get the ratio and spread you want. The beer battered mushrooms are still good. The medium sized mushroom is covered in a thick and crispy batter. There is a slight beer taste in each large mushroom. The mild horseradish dipping sauce was a nice compliment. We also ordered the rib tips. This is a small dish that is packed with lots of flavor. The crispy garlic chips were unique and tasty. The garlic is overpowering and crisp tastes slightly burnt. The honey BBQ sauce is delicious - mop it off the plate delicious! The sauce is thick and sweet. It has a slightly strong BBQ spice flavor. The jalapeño rings are well cooked and soaked up the BBQ glaze nicely. While tasty the jalapeño rings were slightly spicy to taste. We did order the ricotta gnocchi again. It was delicious the first time we ordered it. It was outstanding again. The gnocchi is freshly made and soft but slightly firm to cut. The ricotta gives the dish a slight cheese flavor. The tomato based sauce is smooth and moderately thick. The sightly sweet Italian seasoned sauce was a perfect covering for the gnocchi!

I always recognize his glasses. He's great. Bartenders are always spot-on. Besides that--I hardly have much of a demand, I just want to know if my burger comes with a patty or is just brisket, as it wasn't very clearly indicated in the "burger box" Super disappointing at such a price point/location. I expect more than being visited twice in nearly 30 minutes and only getting the response of "I don't know" and "I'm not sure" I left after taking two sips of my beer, and was chased out by some manager who FINALLY acknowledged us, only trying to get paid for the single ounce of beer that I consumed, as well as two sips of (warm)unsweetened tea that my grandmother had. It's not often I leave without paying, but if you're not going to acknowledge me and cant be at least a decent host, I'll just be on my way before i get too far in. When you charge $20 for a burger, I would think the service is matching that level of quality. Yes I would like a follow up, too. Because if you got my grandma following me in agreement, there's an issue. Really disappointing, probably won't make the stops like I used to. Place appears to need some quality help.
