This review is specifically for this location when there Is NOT a show at jannus going on. On a normal day or evening, this bar can actually get pretty slow and intimate, making it a great place for people watching, pregaming a date night, or catching a drink while eating some Thai to go. Simple, patio only bar- no frills but not necessarily a dive. Service is only at the bar and is friendly. They'll make you a cute and yummy cocktail if that's what you want. I would not go to this bar before during or after a show at Jannus. It is heavily overcrowded. I would probably recommend walking to somewhere nearby with a higher capacity like my rich uncle, one night stand, thirsty first, etc. read more

The Landing is an outdoor patio bar upstairs from the main entrance to Jannus Live. Featuring live music, full bar and low key place to chill before shows. It recently became my favorite pregame spot! During the first couple of visits they offered a small menu of quickie appetizers but last time the kitchen was closed. The bartender was cool with me grabbing something local and eating at the bar. I went to burrito border for some nachos to go. The patio is laced with tree branches and greenery, making it esthetically pleasing as well as somewhat private. Bartenders are super friendly and fun. Love the service and prices are fair. They always mention specials. The live music can be reggae or folksy. I never know till I get there but I'm never disappointed. read more

This is a good place to hang out before or after a show. We stopped here to have a drink right before a show and we could see into the venue. The drinks were good, and the bartenders seemed to be quick, especially since they had to make a bunch of Harry Potter themed drinks for a Harry Potter pub crawl or something that was there when we were. I like that it is mostly open air, with some high walls to offer some "privacy." There was a DJ playing as well but honestly we weren't paying attention to them as my friend was concerned about catching a glimpse of the band we were there to see. Worried for my safety while visiting here. Bouncer was EASILY man handled by 4'8, 100 lb girl, and the police had to get involved. Definitely need to step up security here for the safety of the guests. In reality, the bouncer was incredibly rude to a small group of people by us. Randomly shining his flashlight repeatedly in this girl's face and then when she pushed it away because it was literally blinding her(he was that close), he started saying she assaulted him and then lied to the police about further damage that didn't happen. The police did nothing but take a report from what I saw. Wouldn't recommend going here if that's how the staff treats the average guest. My friends and I left as we saw this happening, as we didn't want to be next. read more

This place sucks tbh... wouldn't let my group of 7 in because I had a fashion CK bag on my shoulder instead of a regular purse.... when I asked the security guard to check inside and opened it with no hesitation he still wouldn't let me in... I literally come there twice a week (wearing that bag at times) so I don't understand why they were acting brand new but cool. We do not recommend! We sat at the bar to get a drink and appetizer before a show... the bartender was the WORST! Waited 20 minutes to order a drink and recommended that we NOT order an appetizer as it could take an hour and he would not be responsible for it. I went to the manager Courtney and she got the appetizer in 15 minutes. Appetizer was great but I can't rate the rest of food because of timing and not being able to order . A woman next to me also waited 30 minutes for a drink and chose not to eat based on what the bartender said. The couple before her walked out. Visited on a warm summer afternoon during Taco Takeover for a cold margarita. I had the Altos Blanco Margarita - refreshing and sweet just enough... The space is a beautiful open air patio with lots of fans all around. Good for cool vibes & refreshing drinks. read more

This was a really cool find! We were walking along looking for margarita deals on Sunday and we saw these steps so we decided to follow them upstairs to a really nice, open air bar! It was not crowded at all. There were plenty of tables under the shade and plenty of space at the bar to sit. I was in luck because they had five dollar margaritas! The bartender even added a splash of watermelon in mine. I liked the atmosphere a lot and the fact that if you look out eye level you are in the tree branches-that was really cool! read more

This place was good at first but the bartenders are incredibly RUDE. A drink that I normally order at other places did not taste right and instead of them topping it off with sprite or something they mocked me and made it seem likeI was lying. One of the bartenders, with a lot of tattoos, I didn't catch her name, made my drink and didn't stir. She poured alcohol at the bottom and sprite on top. I tried asking her fora straw or something to mix it and she wasn't paying attention. I then had to grab a plastic cup from their stack to mix my drink. The service is horrible! Let me start by saying I have never written a negative review online about anything before. It's very hard to upset me enough in order for me to take the time to write a negative review, but this place succeeded. I used to go to this bar quite frequently. My good friends play music there on a regular basis, which makes this review hard for me to write, but I feel obligated to share it because I would hate for someone else to go through what I went through. I tried to go to the Landing with a group of friends on Saturday night, 4/24/21, and security would not let us in the bar, even though they were letting in everyone else. We politely asked security why they wouldn't let us in, and they refused to give an answer. As a regular, who was definitely not that intoxicated at all, I really wanted to know if I was doing something wrong to warrant such treatment, but when I tried to explain this to security and the bar manager, one of the security guards charged me and tried to attack me. I still don't know what we did wrong or why one of their security guards tried to attack me. I've never had anything like this happen to me before anywhere, ever. I don't plan on going back to this bar for a long time and I would advise the same to anyone reading this. Obviously, this is beyond just poor food/drinks or service, this about people's safety and happiness. I would hate for someone else to have to go through a similar experience. read more

While I normally only post yelp reviews when I find myself pleasantly surprised by the food and service, this happens to be the opposite situation. A group of us came here after a rays game and after waiting a significant amount of time without service, we left without getting a single drink. Truthfully, we weren't even acknowledged which was surprising considering there weren't but 15 people at the bar. This place is an episode of Bar Rescue waiting to be filmed! Just walked out without being served by your wonderful purple-haired bartender. She couldn't wait to serve herself and her bar back a couple shots of fireball before serving us, paying customers who waited 10 minutes at the bar, literally 3' from her. She was the worst. She couldn't pay more attention to a bunch of cheap 23 yr olds who talked about her tattoos and ordered 55 of the cheapest drinks, only to say, "separate checks please."....but on a positive note, she seemed to be really enjoying herself as she swayed and awkwardly danced to the music without doing any actual work. Walking along and saw the Chalk drawing- Bar upstairs. Curiosity got the best of me. Followed the stairs to find a great bar. Bartender was fun and friendly. It was Sunday Funday and once the Bartender realized we were locals. She asked if we wanted a island tropical fun drink? Ummmm yes. She made her drink called Stay-cation. Made with coconut rum and delicious fruit juices. I would recommend trying this or any of the specialty drinks offered. The views are spectacular being up high gives a feeling of being in the tree tops. There are plenty of tables on patio many with shade and seats around the bar area. I went a few weeks ago for the first time after having a just awful and long week at work and ended up having so much fun! The bartender, Jersey is a HOOT! She took good care of me and my friends, she was all smiles the whole time I was there. She made sure she served me and my group while not neglecting the rest of her duties. Went to the Chevelle concert at Janus live on Wed. My freind couldn't pull the tickets for the seven of us up on her phone. A bartender named Miles took the time to help! Went and got the wi-fi password, assisted in pulling them up, then escorted us to the line, to make sure we got in! Awesome service! Been there twice before other shows.
