    Wild Boar...so great!

I have been attending Birchwood's Wine Dinners for several months now. The dinners are a great introduction to different wines and wineries. They also have the most inventive and exquisite food around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We love going to the bar area before where a piano player is providing the entertainment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then we wonder in to the wine dinner for an excellent meal and wine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great evening where you meet very interesting foodies.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is always top notch!

I've been to the Canopy multiple times but was blown away by the service and drinks on Saturday night. The espresso martini was so beautiful and not a rush job! I watched the bartender take the time to craft its presentation. 10/10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views here are also unbeatable for the location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wow....Jake and Mikey. I've never had better service in my life. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are the charm of the birch wood canopy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was down, but they sang. They have beautiful voices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The countertop is a weird green color but that's okay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They literally are so nice. Will come back...when they are working, also the coasters are tasty. Please comment their schedule. Thanks. Abi also slayed.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The rooftop with the best view of the St Pete Pier & Tampa Bay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was a Saturday and we ordered champagne flutes. I got the Bellini and it was only $6.95 until 4 PM. I also ordered my all-time favorite espresso reposado and it was so delicious. They make the drinks here really good and strong. I can't wait to come back here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only downer part about this place you could hear other people's conversations as the tables are very close together[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but I feel like it's just probably the type of people that come here they're very bougie and very loud and obnoxious. There was a table behind us and the woman there kept asking us to put our purse at her table so that she could save her table to go look for somebody that was supposed to be meeting her, I mean, how obnoxious can these people be?! We will not be leaving our anything on anybody's table to save it for somebody else. Our server seemed to be very busy. I felt like there was not enough service help for how busy the place was it was packed to the max. Parking in the area is always packed to the max. Luckily my friend lives nearby and we were able to walk.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]10/10 views and vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a must visit place for your stop in St. Pete! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved the rooftop vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was a HOT day, and the manager was super accommodating, helping our larger party open up another umbrella to catch some shade. We stopped in for drinks which were all incredible. I got the sunset spritz which was light and refreshing. Others at the table tried out beers and espresso martinis. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a wonderful place with great service and an excellent atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We sat at the rooftop bar "Canopy" for a nice afternoon beverage with friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The rooftop is stunning with views looking over the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We found a table with a large umbrella that provided just enough shade for our large party.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was prompt and polite. We ordered espresso martinis that were very tasty!!!

How I love everything about this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I view is amazing as it's overdoing the St Pete's pier[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], [[HIGHLIGHT]]the music vibe is just amazing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the cocktails are so good. They recently updated their menu and also some of the drinks specials. The service is always good here. They make you feel welcomed NOT rushed. Highly recommend the drinks and food which are served in appetizers size. Pom Garden Hendricks Grand Cabaret, Pomegranate Juice, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Club Soda, and Lemon

Our first day celebrating my birthday week in Saint Petersburg saw us stay at the Birchwood Inn, where the restaurant Birch and Vine is on the lobby floor and the Birchwood Canopy is on the rooftop (aka fifth floor). As soon as we were settled in our hotel room, we went straight up to the roof top where we engaged in a number of drinks such as the Pom Garden, the Sour Solider, and the Birchwood Old Fashioned. The view overlooking Beach Drive and Tampa Bay is quite a sight whether it is during the day or at night. At night, the skyline of St. Pete illuminates, and it's quite amazing. Just be mindful that if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, you will most likely encounter the bar in club mode where tons of people show with whatever DJ playing dance/r&b/hip hop tunes. At the Canopy you can either grab a bar stool underneath the actual canopy or sit at one of the tables by the railing of the rooftop or around the fire pit. There are also several canopy tents that you can reserve for you and your friends. At night, the tents illuminate in pink lighting. On most days, you can find them having live music performed either acoustically (usually during the daytime) or in DJ-mode at night. For my money, the Sour Solider is very tasty, made with Horse Soldier Straight Bourbon, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Fee Foam, Orange Peel shaped like a lip, and topped with a cherry. The Pom Garden also serves as a refreshing choice for the warm weather of St. Pete at all times of the year, served with Hendricks Grand Cabaret, Pomegranate Juice, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Club Soda, and Lemon. The Barbacoa Wontons, while very deep fried, were very savory and filling with beef and manchego, served with a serrano ranch sauce. And if you want to be classy, the Birchwood Old Fashioned is a solid choice.

The Canopy is a favorite of both locals and visitors alike for its amazing views of Tampa Bay and downtown St.Pete. We stopped in for happy hour on a Tuesday at about 4:30. All the high tops along the railings (best views) were taken, but we found a spot on the couches for our party of 4. Our server quickly brought us our menus. Any glass of wine $10 or less is half off, as well as half off their signature cocktails. We ordered wine and mango margaritas. Of the appetizers we ordered, my favorite were the barbacoa wontons. They had a hot crispy outside and juicy inside. As always with the Canopy, I'll be back for the amazing views and drinks!

    View is ok.

We enjoyed a wonderful birthday eve dinner for my husband and took advantage of half-off bottles of wine (under $150) night. The food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the duck prosciutto salad and meatloaf, both gluten-free. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed our evening. It was a perfect place, especially for a romantic dinner.

The one downside came when it was time to check out our waitress needed a manager to be able to use our credit and it ended up taking a very long time until we were able to get our checks. This place is beautiful and quite large inside. If you sit outside, you have a nice view of the water. We sat inside just because it was so hot. I got the lobster roll with a side of fruit. The fruit is actually really good, not your standard mixed fruit. This one had mangoes, dragon, fruit, blueberries, pineapple. It was absolutely delicious. The lobster roll is very good too and had a lot of lobster. I actually felt like it was a steal for only $25. I tried my friend's sweet potato wedges and they were delicious as well. I was really impressed with the food here. I would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you're at the Vinoy. Monday-Friday is one menu and the weekend has a buffet and smaller menu. Friday, we had the Avocado Toast and Vinoy Benedict with fresh squeezed orange juice. Our waiter, Michael was prompt and friendly. Both dishes were excellent. The toast had an interesting crunchy topping (although the egg added on the side was barely warm). The Benedict came with a huge crab cake, very fresh and excellent texture. The poached egg cooked perfectly (no slimy egg white). It didn't come with sides; potatoes would have been nice. Saturday, we were surprised to see a buffet, but happy to hear it was included (a chance to try more items). The spread isn't huge, but the quality is exceptional. Bagels were fresh, pastries typical. Fruit was flavorful, granola was house-made and very good. The citrus yogurt was absolutely delicious! Scrambled eggs not overcooked and not runny. The smashed potatoes were great, too. The French toast didn't wow us and we were glad we hadn't ordered that the day before. But they have little bottles of real maple syrup to go with it. Bonus points! We were at get Marriott Marquis in NYC a week ago and people had raved about it being the best M Club in the nation. The breakfast buffet was expensive but mediocre. It was the perfect example of how you can have a large selection and nothing tastes good. Paul's Landing could teach them a few tricks.
