Recently she wanted to come in to get her lashes done before a big birthday bash with friends. Since I wear the pants in the relationship, I let her know that I wasn't going to go with her, because guys don't go to lash bars! So when I got to the Lashbar, my first impression is that the salon is bright and inviting with a posh look. Everything looks clean and sanitary. I proceeded to sit in the boyfriend waiting room which most people call 'the lobby' a.k.a. 'entrance', where there was a nice, plush sofa ready for me to ponder life and the significance of the significant other. As I waited, the nice owner offered me their signature champagne even though I wasn't in there for long. I'm not a big champagne guy, but I tasted it and it was actually pretty good! As we conversed, the owner went on to tell me that this franchise has multiple locations in San Diego where it originated and is well known for their quality and service. Well, they backed their claims because afterwards my girlfriend said the technicians make sure to go the full mile to see that you are satisfied with your look and final lashes. Also very attentive and make sure you are comfortable while getting treated. You know how "particular" our sweet, loving, amazing wife/girlfriend/family can be when it comes to how they look before a big occasion. But my girlfriend really liked how her lashes turned out and I can tell they make her pretty happy. Who knew that lash extensions could really make someone's day? Wish I could get my lashes done too! One thing that really stood out is how seriously they take hygiene and state regulations (which, sadly, is hard to find these days). Sometimes they call to let me know, sometimes they don't. They have no respect for their loyal customers or their time. It's very unprofessional to run 30-90 min late every single appt. Today was the last time. The arrogance in the owner and not showing any care or apologizing to me after my last appoint the tech was over 90 min late and when I showed up at the pushed back time, she was still not available so the owner had to take over then she rushed through my services. This is why I will no longer be a customer. I have had many techs leave throughout this timeframe. So once I get accustomed to a new one they also leave. They have a very high turnover. There was no one at the front desk. There was a girl doing someone else's eyelashes. I asked her for Sabrina and she said she should be right back. I sat in the lobby for about 15 minutes with no Sabrina showing up or anyone coming by for that matter. I went back to the original girl who was still doing lashes and asked if she knew if Sabrina was here that day. She was very vague and said something about Sabrina texting her at 2:18 and told me that Sabrina said I can text her and provided Sabrina's phone number and said she said she was with her own client and waked away (which I completely understand because she wasn't the receptionist and was being interrupted doing her own work.) I text the phone number I was provided (at this point 20 min post appt time). The girl Sabrina text me back and said that she left because she thought I was a no show and charged me a no show fee. When I told her what time I walked in, she said she thought my appointment was at 2:00 pm even though I had multiple confirmations through the square app confirming my appt that was scheduled at 2:15. Not only that but I was charged $70 for a service I did not get that she claims will come off. It was very unprofessional and the whole experience at this salon was very strange. I had been to many beauty salons with individuals renting chairs/rooms but never experienced this level of unprofessionalism. Such a waste of time and for the girl Sabrina not to even contact me before leaving BEFORE my appt time. . I hope I won't have to dispute the charge with my credit card company and that it actually gets refunded. Overall a very dissapinting experience and I will not be back.

I went to Moonie 3 times for lash fills and brow lamination. All 3 visits were extremely painful. I…read morehave been getting lash extensions for over 10 years and never have I experienced this. Her removals were so painful my eye lids were sore for a few days after each appointment. She constantly stabs the lid with her forceps or pulls out natural lashes causing the eye to water excessively then proceeds to make negative comments about how watery the eye was. The lack of isolation was also concerning with the amount of burning I received from the bond. Again, causing my eyes to water. I was finally able to get back in with my regular eye lash technician and she was appalled to say the least. She took some photographs where my eyelashes had been cut. Most of the extensions weren't even on a natural lash. They were bonded on top of each other causing inflammation of the follicle. The HEALTH of my lashes declined significantly with only 3 lash visits with Moonie. Many of you probably don't know she cuts your lashes as you can't see your own lash line SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL. Now to the brows; She singed them right off. I have very fine, thin brows and she burned them right off. I had no brows for a few weeks. She was nice enough to give me a 100$ credit for the brows, but seemed to be very defensive when I approached her about the lashes. EVEN with pictures! She and my regular lash technician are the only two that touched my lashes in that 6 week period, but she didn't want to admit or apologize for cutting my natural lashes. My brows have started to fill in again, hair grows back. But if I would have continued to use her for my lashes I'm afraid of what it would have resulted in further down the road. One last thing to note; there is no pricing. You never know what you will pay for a fill. She charges you based on what she feels necessary. Be careful ladies.

In fact, I was so comfortable that I fell asleep when Natalie applied my extensions. Normally, I can never fall asleep anywhere but I was out like a baby within just a few minutes. That's how good she is! Natalie is really sweet, skilled, and careful. For the first time, I hardly felt any of the stinging/watery eye discomfort during the application process. In under two hours, I was off on my way. They look really pretty and natural. It's been about 1.5 weeks and the retention on these are great! The lash studio is located in downtown Chandler, which I really enjoyed checking out. There's a great ice cream place right across so definitely get a cone after getting your lashes did. There's also a great, inexpensive eyebrow threading place within walking distance so the location is excellent.
