I came to the salon for the first time to have my eyebrows tinted on Saturday, January 6, 2019. My technician was Taylor. We spoke at length about my fair complexion and light red hair. I let her know that I typically use a Taupe brow liner. She said she could make that color with blonde and a little bit of graphite. At the end of the service she said she did 50% blonde and 50% graphite. My eyebrows looked like they had been drawn on with a black sharpie. I immediately asked if this would lighten up and she said within a day it will lighten significantly. I went home displeased with my service, but I didn't want to embarrass the technician or myself by making a big deal out of it. I trusted that the color would fade quickly to brown. At home I scrubbed my brows with clarifying shampoo, baking soda, peroxide, exfoliant, and cleanser repeatedly. Nothing happened except the dye came off of my skin under my brows. I called the next day and Keya laughed at my problem. She told me that a professional tint remover does not exist and that they're unable to do anything at all to help me. She didn't offer a refund either. When I asked if she had a suggestion for how to fix it, since the salon could not help, she told me that I could bleach my brows, but she doesn't recommend it. She also told me to "call Sallys...but I doubt they have anything." She never took any of my information during that call and at the end of the call she told me to have a nice day. Day three and my eyebrow hairs are pitch black. I asked for taupe!! I look like a crazy person with blonde eyelashes and paper-white fair skin. I am telling everyone I know about what happened and the terrible customer service I received so they don't make the mistake of going there. I have been going to The Lash Lounge for about 2 months now and can honestly say that it has been life changing. I had never gotten semi-permanent eyelash extensions before and was very nervous about the process and upkeep. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by a friendly face and was then walked through the process by one of their stylists. The stylist, Caprice, was very knowledgeable about the product and the application process. My first appointment, I was so comfortable that I was actually able to fall asleep while getting my lashes done! I woke up feeling beautiful and satisfied. The management team is very professional and I love the cleanliness of the salon. Overall, I have had nothing but an exceptional experience at this salon. My new lashes make my morning routine so much easier (say "Adios" to mascara!) and make me feel so confident and beautiful. I love this place! read more

I have been coming to the Lash Lounge for almost a year now. During that time I have had really great experiences and one that was not what I expected. However, the "not what I expected" experience was handled very professionally and the stylist was spoken with and she has become a much better stylist. I have been with two different stylist who were wonderful, but have moved on. I decided to try the stylist who I had the "iffy" experience with and she was wonderful! She has really stepped up her game and I happy to have her work with me for my lash look! Additionally, their administrators do a terrific shop trying to accommodate my schedule, which isn't always easy! When COVID hit and they had to close, they did a fabulous job contacting me and communicating their plan during the interim. I visit the lash lounge for a lift every 6 weeks or so, and every time the staff is so welcoming and friendly! Your stylist will make sure you get the exact look you want and will talk through the process as they go if you're new. Trusting someone to your lashes is intimidating, but they take the scary part out and make you feel so comfortable and confident in the process. The salon is beautiful, and the "table" you lay on is comfortable and even has a pillow and blanket! I'm someone who always flinches when it comes to anything getting close to my eye, and it's never an issue here. Booking appointments is super easy, you can do it all online if you prefer (which I do). Other salons I have been to never have enough openings to accommodate my schedule but I've never had an issue here! Trust me, if you want stunning lashes, this is your place! read more

Edit: I so loved the actual lash services I received there (shoutout to Italia, Caprice, and Ellen!) But their scheduling and bookkeeping needs some serious work. I cancelled my membership back in November because I moved (I had to drive over an hour back to Ann Arbor because they would not let me cancel over the phone, something no one informed me of when I signed up). I got a phone call from them today saying my credit card wouldn't go through!! Turns out no one ever updated their system that I cancelled--a fairly seriously bookkeeping error--so I've been being charged $110 a month since November for a cancelled membership! Needless to say I am very unhappy. Not only is this very shoddy bookkeeping on their part, but it's also an extremely predatory business practice. read more

I love the Lash Lounge in Ann Arbor! I've been a lash extension client there for about three years now. Their customer service surpasses my expectations each and every time I am there and they are the definition of excellence from the moment you walk in the salon up until your service is finished. Marlee is my go to girl for Mega Volume Lash Extensions. She is an extraordinarily talented lash technician! She makes my eyes look AMAZING! Dana was absolutely wonderful. She did an amazing job,....took her time, made it pleasant to chat and then she immediately knew when I was starting to relax more and wanted to just be in that quiet relaxing zone! I've never had real fake eyelashes before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The ladies were really nice in explaining how to care for my lashes in order to make them last longer. It does take about two hours for the initial set. My stylist was very gentle, even after having to tape my eyes down. She helped me pick out the right set for me - not too long and only a bit of curl so that way they would fit perfect under my glasses. I loved not having to wear mascara for a few weeks. Monica was great, she read the previous notes in my file and applied the lash tint thoroughly, continually teasing out areas and lashes I've had difficulty getting good results from in the past. I have been to a few places, and love that they mostly do lashes! No more having the one tech out sick at a salon and that usually happens when you are going to an important event or vacation- at least that is my luck. I recently went to The Lash Lounge for a fill. I found out that the prior salon I went to had applied lashes that damaged my own lashes. I was advised to remove them and return for a new set.
