This was my first visit to this lash salon, and I was very happy with the service. I was greeted and given personal attention the moment I arrived by a very warm and friendly staff. They are adhering to all the COVID-19 safety protocols and the place is very, very clean. The lash treatment I received was done by a trained professional in a timely manner. I love the results of my natural lash application. The rates are fairly priced and competitive with other lash salons. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Buyer beware of the owner of this establishment. She was, unfortunately, one of the most unprofessional individuals I have encountered in a business setting--rude, erratic, and unnecessarily focused on my personal life. While I initially intended to write this review solely regarding the service not functioning as expected, the far more concerning issue has been the manner in which the owner communicates with clients. To be succinct, I went in for a brow lamination that did not hold or work at all (photos for reference). When I reached out to address the issue, a front desk employee called me and explained she was texting with the manager and she told me that they would offer only a redo, not a refund. This concerned me because during my appointment, my technician had made it clear that it would be unsafe to perform another lash lamination any sooner than six weeks. To be sure, I consulted two other lamination providers in Westchester, who also expressed concern and stated that redoing a lamination later could potentially cause breakage or other damage. I for obvious reasons, do not feel comfortable returning to the establishment for a redo given their history. When the owner called me, I explained that since I did not receive the service outcome I paid for, I would be filing a chargeback with my credit card company and submitting a complaint to the BBB, both standard consumer rights when a service does not work as expected. When she scoffed at me, I explained I had a background in law and do know my rights. I communicated this calmly, without raising my voice, insulting her, or making personal remarks. My decision was made, I was certainly not looking for a refund anymore. The owner interpreted this as me "threatening" her, and the conversation took an unexpected turn. She began asking about my personal life, including where I went to college and whether I work from home, questions that felt irrelevant to the service issue. She made comments about my school being "a party school" and suggested she hoped my company was "okay with me taking time off to speak with her and not digging into my per diem," even though the call lasted only about eight minutes. We went from speaking about a service issue to digging into my personal life and finding areas to insult. She told me my tone "was disgusting", that I am petty, and trying to "pull every trick". These remarks felt inappropriate and, in my opinion, crossed into personal territory that had nothing to do with the service at hand. I was surprised by this, as I did not insult her personally, nor did I comment on her personal life (or ask where she was educated?). I was firm because I was upset that the service I paid for did not work, but I remained respectful. The call ultimately ended with her telling me to "do whatever the hell you want" and hanging up on me. As a business partner myself, I found this interaction extremely unprofessional. Disagreements happen, but how they are handled matters. I would never raise my voice at a customer, make personal remarks about their background or employment, question them on their education, or become emotional during a discussion about a service issue. That is simply not how professional disputes should be handled. I understand the owner may choose to respond to this review + will likely try to defame my character and make further personal attacks. I am prepared for those. My intention is not to escalate or inflame anything but to provide a factual, detailed account of what occurred. Consumers should be aware of my experience, particularly regarding how service concerns and refund inquiries may be handled by the owner. You may be verbally accosted. She even cited my texts to their messaging service as rude. I will copy below for context. "The brow lamination unfortunately did not work at all and was expensive. I'm calling to try to get a resolution. This is now the second time I've come in for a treatment that's been unsatisfactory, so I would love to find a way to amicably resolve it in a way that doesn't hurt either party. I went to the Lash Lounge in Dobbs Ferry twice and Kristy was my stylist and she did a great job however they were falling out the next day each time. I mentioned it to Kristy on my next appointment who said she would apply more glue, she did, and she did a great job again. It happened again.. I emailed the salon the following: "Kristy did my lashes twice and did an amazing job! With that being said each time the lashes started falling off the very next day.  After the first time I told Kristy and she said she'd put more glue.  It happened again.  I'm going to make another appointment however why is this ha happening? I've asked others that have gotten lashes and they said it shouldn't be happening...I feel like by the time I get in there it's going to a brand new set vs a full at the rate I'm going." This was their response: "Hello Danielle It is normal for 2-3 lashes to fall out next day. But if by end of week 2 you have almost no lashes left then there is something off with your maintenance. We have not had such repetitive instances of bad retention, especially with Kristy who is our most experienced stylist.  For the first 24 hours after application, the adhesive has to cure. Any intervention with that process can affect retention immediately and speed up their fall out going forward. This includes: taking a shower (even if you do not wet your face) taking a bath (even if you do not wet your face) sweating (gym, sauna, cooking, working it the kitchen or anywhere where humidity is higher than normal) applying and removing makeup, lash strips including (yes, people still try applying lash strips on top of extensions and then they expect good retention)  applying skincare playing with lashes - brushing, picking, etc." *I didn't do any of those things. I'm not an idiot, I have had to use good aftercare on many things that were a LOT more intricate than eyelashes, hair, nails, tattoos, piercings, surgeries etc, never had any issues with common sense. Eyelashes...not rocket science* She went on to say: "Overall, after 24 hours,  the less you touch them the better. You have to keep them clean (shampoo once a day with the cleanser that we sell at our salon) and free of oil, glycerin, and alcohol which are present in most skincare and makeup. I would hold off on booking your lashes with our salon and try a different place. All our stylist use the same type of adhesives and application methods. In fact, Kristy is probably the most heavy handed when it comes to using adhesive.  Also, if you believe that lash extensions maintenance interfere with your lifestyle and habits and require just way too much of your consideration then may be they are not the best investment of your time and money. It's not unusual for us to have people try them (even become members) and then realize that it's not their thing....  *her statement above came off as really judgmental and condescending. Nowhere did I say anything about my lifestyle and interferences. Someone needs a business management and customer service 101 course!* I hope this helps. Happy holidays! The place is clean, professional and everyone there seems to really care about giving you a great experience. Karen, my fabulous technician talked to me in depth about my lashes and really made me feel like I was being well taken care of. I started with Lash Lounge when they first opened. At first it was great. The scheduling was difficult. Put my account on hold not realizing that if you don't call or go back you don't get your money back! I called to see how much of a credit I had left figuring I may try a lash lift. I was told that I lost my credit of $516.00 !!!!! When I asked for someone to call me to see if we could work something out I didn't receive a call. I messaged them and was met with nasty responses from Natalia. Unacceptable!!! Not even a comprise nothing was offered. She said I was notified by email not sure I ever received or saw that emailed she also said she called. I asked her when did you call? She told me to look it up on my phone bill? Seriously? I tried to explain that I lost both my parents and have been a little off and her response was : And do you know my situation? Or you simply do not care. Let me start by saying this is my second experience with The Lash lounge in Dobbs Ferry. The first time the facility did a lash removal and evaluation of what went wrong with a set I had applied at Amazing Lash (which was a nightmare experience). That was actually my first time having lash extensions so I was skeptical of trying it again. The manager (I'm not sure of her name) assured me it would be completely different and took the time to explain to me what went wrong with my prior set. She said my lashes hadn't been measured and the lashes applied were way to heavy for my natural lash! I wish I had a photo of the atrocity they fixed!!! Yesterday I got back on the horse with a stylist named Kristy. She was absolutely amazing! First she ensured that they had chosen a latex free glue (as I'm allergic). Next we went over my goals (to have a fuller look, I didn't care much about length). She evaluated my lashes and assured me they could hold a set of "Natural" level Hybrids. **** I want this to be the highlight of my experience: This is a 2 - 2 1/2 hours service. I however was pressed for time. She managed to make this photo (I took off their Instagram) happen in 1 1/2 hours!!!! Like omg they are stunning!!!!!!*** I don't even feel these lashes are there! So far they are very comfortable. Should anything change I'll update my review, but as of now I intend to go back in 2 weeks for a fill! Side note: This is obviously during Covid! They checked my temperature before letting me in, had me use sanitizer, sanitized my bed, everyone wore masks and gloves, and they only allowed one other client in the facility as I was worked on. read more

Lashes falling out after 5 days. Very disappointed. When I first started going there, they were very nice and accommodating. The last two times I went for refills, looked good when I immediately left. But 5 days later had half the amount of lashes on my right eye. Left eye had all twisted lashes. Been getting extensions for over 3 years. Same timing of refills for all that time prior to your establishment. Location not an issue if service was good & worth it. It isn't. I was one of the first customers when the Lash lounge in Dobbs Ferry opened. At that time they did everything in their power to make customers happy, because they had very few. As time went on and they built up their client base, their customer service went downhill. In addition they have constant scheduling issues when you bring it up they put the blame on the customer. Beware of any business that is super friendly to get you to sign up, once they get you in ...that's it. At $170 per month they can do better. They can care less if they lose a good customer. I'm sorry I stayed with them as long as I did. There are too many choices to be stuck in a monthly contract with them. I will give props to Alexa the best Lash Girl they have. She really doesn't need the lash lounge to make money. I wish her the best! Update and response to owner Natalia's comment: The option I was given due to The Lash Lounge setting my appointments on the wrong date was to CANCEL my membership... this was the ONLY solution given by the owner Natalia. I am not surprised by Natalia's response because it's common practice for the lash Lounge to place blame on their customers. When providing Optimum customer service, that is never done. In response to the lash stylists loving it there, explain the quick turn around time. They never stay there. In regards to your comment of good luck finding another place... I already did. FIVE STARS FOR ALEXIS. 0 STARS FOR THE SUPERVISOR (NATALIYA) I had a monthly membership with them. For the month of May I was deducted for the membership ($189). I couldn't go for the month of May because I had something's planned so I called today if I can schedule my appointment on May 31. The supervisor told me no, I had to use my refill within the next 3 days. I told her I couldn't that I had plans already set. The supervisor told me no, it couldn't be done. I insisted because it was only 2 weeks from today. She then explained that it would count as a full set, not a refill and that her workers were not going to be paid at "minimum wage" and the would not make money out it if she accepts that. I then asked if I can pay the difference between the full-set and the 1st refill so that they won't loose money. She told me no, I would have to pay $204 dollars for a full-set and then use the 2 refills for the month of June. But that I was also going to be deducted the membership for the month of June, so that would be 4 refills I would have to use on June. I told her that would be too many refills for me to use for the month of June, who uses 4 refills in a month!? The supervisor was not trying to work with me at all, even after I was going to pay the difference for her workers not to be paid "minimum wage and for them to make money"..... I found it unprofessional for a supervisor to mention how the co workers pay to a client. That had nothing to do with the conversation. I asked them to refunded me my membership for May and I canceled my membership. (Which they did) They just lost more money then what they would have received and LOST A CUSTOMER. Best lash boutique I have ever been too! Amazing experience! Everyone was so nice and warm and welcoming, while maintaining safety precautions! One Saturday afternoon in December, I was coming out of the nail salon next door and decided to walk in to see if I could get my brows threaded. The threading experience was wonderful and I wound up getting my brows tinted as well....LOVED!! I decided to make an appointment for a classic set the following week and the rest is history!!! Folks who haven't seen me in a while notice the change in me but they can't figure out what it is...it's because my lashes look so natural and my brows are now arched and tinted to perfection!! I went to get my lashes done tech recommended a serum for my lashes. I purchased it at 90.00 was told to use the product everyday. I used it three times the week I got it. I used very little of it the first two times my eyes swelled. At fist I thought seasonal allergies were here. I skipped a day of using product just because my eyes were swollen. My eyes went down so I gave it another try. My eyes got really red so I stopped and I figured out it was the product that gave me a bad allergy reaction. All this week I didn't use the product and it confirmed it was the serum. I called the lash lounge to inform them of what took place. The receptionist or sales person proceeds to tell me I can't get a refund and I should try using the product again. I was stunned and disappointed that they would even tell me use it again after telling them I had an allergic reaction. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone I know. read more
