Banyan House at The Last Resort is the perfect relaxing vacation spot. Our family of three came and stayed with another family of three and there was plenty of room for all of us. The location is both intimate and gracious. Wide porches upstairs and down offer multiple seating areas for socializing, getting lost in a good book, or catching up on emails. We loved the soundtrack of birdsong, soft ocean surf, and the rustle of palm fronds. The attention to detail was evident from the high-end and modern decor to the well-appointed kitchen. We love to cook and the kitchen is stocked with everything we needed from All-Clad Stainless cookware to two dishwashers, a six-burner professional-grade stove, and an espresso machine. The very helpful concierge arranged a fabulous on-site massage that was followed by a rinse in the delightful outdoor shower. The owners paid a lot of attention to the aesthetics down to the beautiful, burled wood stairs. You can feel the love they've put into the property.

Our stay in the Banyan House at The Last Resort was nothing short of magical. The remote and beautiful location gave us a relaxing retreat before and after our days of adventure on the island. Morning coffee overlooking gorgeous greenery, the ocean, with a cool breeze. Nightly wine on that same lanai before going to sleep to the soothing sounds of frogs and insects singing. The house had every little detail you could ever want and felt like true paradise. Highly recommend adding a massage during your stay as well! We also used the grocery service through their concierge and check out those macadamia banana pancakes we enjoyed on the lanai. Prepared with carefully chosen local groceries in an amazing gourmet kitchen. And the outdoor shower.....amazing. This felt like an authentic experience on the Big Island and one that we can't wait to repeat!

The upstairs verandah area where we watched the sunrise/sunset.

Great management company. My husband and I booked a stay in one of their condos with our 2 young…read morechildren. We stayed for 2 weeks so we needed new linens multiple times. They were quick to respond and get us what we needed. I also forgot a few things for my newborn so I had a few items shipped to their office. They brought the packages as soon as they came. I was very pleased with how helpful and accommodating they were. I would highly recommend them.

If you are wanting to book through this service, do it ONLY through VRBO. Aloha vacation rentals…read morewebsite is SO poor. I have read more than one review on other sites where the same incident happened to them. We booked a house through the website. Picked our correct dates, and then had email correspondence with one of the owners, Tina. The email header/subject was our correct dates. We had booked this house about 9 months in advanced to be very prepared. It was me, my husband, baby and 2 other couples. I even emailed tina a couple weeks before because I had a bad feeling and confirmed again the dates we were coming (April 2019) where she agreed. Two days before we were set to arrive I emailed them again and confirmed there would be a crib. Tina responds "yes we will have a crib for you for your trip in 2020". Naturally I freaked out and asked tina to call me she called me and I explained all our emails and conversations have mentioned the actual dates. She pretty much acted like it wasn't her problem and I hung up on her. I think she looked back at conversations because when my husband called her she was incredibly apologetic and gave us a full refund (ONLY REASON THEY ARENT GETTING 1 STAR!). She explained that she looked everywhere for somewhere to put us but every single thing on the island was booked. Lucky for us, I did a simple google search and found a FANTASTIC place, of course not managed by Aloha vacation rentals. I tried to figure out what went wrong, so went to their website and tried again to pick exact dates to schedule, it then takes you to a new page where the calendar changes to 2020! Out of no where! Very poorly done site. Very poorly done communication. But was refunded and we found another place so it all worked out in the end for us. But don't book through website.
