The Laughing Pear was a true five star experience. Chef Dave and his staff we're amazing. Every fine detail was met with precision. The food was beautiful and absolutely delicious. His staff was dressed to the nines in black tie and vest with service to match. His culinary team was accommodating to our dietary needs while maintaining perfect timing throughout the entire meal. We have utilized Chef Dave and his wonderful team for private dinners as well as our corporate events. The versatility of this company to preform a dance of twelve courses for a party of twenty, then turn around the next day and cater our cocktail party of one hundred and twenty is a testament to how organized and professional The Laughing Pear is. The food was locally sourced with seasonality and organics in mind. Chef Dave has the ability to prepare many different cuisines which allow us to choose from a variety of thoughtfully prepared menus. We also had the ability to work with Chef Dave on the menus to accommodate our guests preferences and dietary restrictions. Well done, Chef David! I wanted to find a corporate team-building activity that allowed my team to interact with each other and enjoy the results of our hard work. Chef Dave nailed it. We learned some great cooking techniques and ate the best meal I've ever had. Chef Dave and his team take pride in their work while adding an element of surprise. We had a 3-course place setting with flowers, menu and beautiful antique silverware. Last night our family and friends enjoyed a spectacular feast created by Chef David and his team. Our group consisted of 7 children(ages 8-13) and 9 adults. Everyone , including our pickiest eater, enjoyed their five course meal. Highlights for the children's meal were the filet ("best steak ever!"), pomme frites, sundae bar and duck confit. The nine adults indulged in lobster bisque, arugula salad with apple, pear, caramelized nuts and a lovely cheese which were both amazing. Our main course of buffalo tenderloin was accompanied by a hash of root vegetables and winter greens- a masterpiece. The dessert was the signature pear cobbler. Chef Dave is fantastic! No detail was left unturned. He prepared a delicious and healthy three course meal while we watched and asked food prep questions. He used many years expertise to share techniques and to develop deep and rich flavors. He was very professional in the planning and execution of the meal. He was also flexible with our plans and included us in some of the prep work as we desired. I was organizing my best friend's bachelorette party and came across The Laughing Pear. Chef Dave listened to my requests and created a 6 course meal with wine pairings. The overall experience was superb. The chef was excellent in his preparation and presentation, and the meal was amazing. Each course was prepared perfectly, and the wine paring was very nice. The service was wonderful, as the server even began serving beer to one of the guests who was allergic to wine. Chef Dave has been great to work with. I met him a few years back at a conference, and have been working with him ever since. I have referred many clients to him for cooking classes, catering and other services. I noticed that in other comments Chef Dave fell through, I know that he has gone through a lot of back surgeries, and know that he would not do that intentionally. He has always been good at getting back to me, those that I refer to him, and just following through in general. I would recommend using these guys, they also do cooking classes from time to time! read more

We just got back from our trip to Park City and Chef Dave did a terrific job putting together a 75th BDay dinner for my father. From the multiple courses to the wine pairings..it was amazing.
