No matter where or when, I seek out the cleanest and most reputable place to wash my clothes. I've been in some sketchy laundromats in my day. Sometimes it's sketchy people, sometimes it's sketchy machines that don't work right or are dirty inside leaving me to wish I could rewash my clothing elsewhere. Today is one of those days that I find myself at a laundromat. I am so grateful that MadeNew Laundry in Henrietta opened up. It's worth the little extra drive coming from Fairport to be in an environment that is truly kept immaculately clean and that I feel safe. On top of that, the machines are state of the art technology for washing without wear and tear on my clothes. They rinse and spin thoroughly and dry without cooking the fabric. I am very pleased by the outcome everything from my delicates to son's work pants. Upon walking in, I was given a friendly greeting by Jason who gave me a quick tour of how to get started with the payment system. You have a choice of purchasing a reloadable Laundry Card using either cash or credit card. Or you can download the Laundry Cat app and use a card or other electronic payment, like Apple Pay, and use the app as a virtual laundry card. I chose the Laundry Cat App. It's pretty nifty as it uses the WiFi to give you a status of the machines you have in use. It's easy to reload your account and it's easy to apply payment to a machine. Loading and starting up the machines was a cinch. Wash time is 30 mins or less. Dry time is 20 mins or less. The dryers are very efficient. All in all, it was an excellent experience for going to the laundromat.

I especially appreciated that the owner was present and actively involved in the daily operations, demonstrating a real commitment to quality control and customer satisfaction, and it was late at night too. Most importantly, they did an excellent job on the wash and fold. My clothes were perfectly clean, smelled fresh, and were crisply folded. This level of care and professionalism is rare. You access everything with a card ($1) loaded by credit card or cash, which is nice except the card dispenser was broken when I was there and it was my first time here. Thankfully a nice guy was finishing up his laundry and passed on his card to me, which had $8 remaining and he refused to accept my quarters in return! The dryers are the style where you pay $0.25/6 minutes, which can be frustrating to guess how many cycles you'll need. They have the rolling carts to bring your laundry around and, even better, a few parking spots right out front for you to get up close!

Unfortunately two of them are out of order and have been for months. The laundromat is filthy. You can be here for hours and never see an employee come in or wipe down machine. For his last hour the very few pay range machines they have have been occupied by laundry that that nobody has ever come back to take out of the machines. This is probably the last time I'll come to this laundromat. I found a much cleaner one in the Mount Hope area that doesn't have any machines out of order. The only bad part is it doesn't have pay range but quock it is that if half the machines that take it are broken or unavailable?

They are also really up to date with technology, including their app that keeps track of order and notifies you when they are ready via app and text. They also have a kiosk for drop off and pick up available 24/7. I also believe they have pick up and drop off service to your home as well. Another plus is that they also have frequent coupons. So far they are my favorite dry cleaning experience in town.

This is the only place in this region of upstate NY area that does suede cleaning on site. They broke my original buttons (which were made of pearl) and put on some plastic ones to avoid responsibilities. The place was able to give me a refund for the original buttons after I discovered the issue, but such act of trying to burry their mistakes from the customers made me wonder if I ever should go back there for dry-cleaning again. I wanted to give them 1 star but the person who handled the issue after the fact was benevolent and willing to take the responsibility for the company. Because of the attitude of that person I retracted my 1 star thought and give them an average 3-stars instead.
