I made a real effort to be there: took time off work, picked him up early from school, and drove from Arcadia to make the appointment. When we arrived, I was told the appointment hadn't even been written down. While I did receive an apology over text, the communication felt very casual given the situation. I was told she forgot to write it in her book and simply asked if I wanted to reschedule, I told her it was my son's birthday, I told her the journey that it took to get us there, without any real attempt to accommodate us that day after we had already made the trip. There was no service recovery offered, which was especially disappointing given the inconvenience. Out of respect, I showed up as scheduled, even though my day was hectic and I had considered canceling, because I didn't want to waste her time. Unfortunately, that same consideration wasn't returned. Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and effort to make it right is what stood out most.
