When they cut my bushes, they were uneven. Plus, when they blew all the debris from cutting the bushes out of the bed, they blew a lot of the mulch (a long pile of it) onto the lawn and left it there. read more

I don't post reviews often, but the service from this company was so inferior to other lawn care services I have used in regards to price, quality, and customer service. I hope that this review can save at least one other person from the expense and frustration of hiring this company. Believe me, you can find a much better quality at a much better price. I was charged $375.00 for lawn care during the month of September. They explained the high price was for annual weed treatment that should eliminate weeds for the year, but this is our property after treatment (see photo). The company may respond with excuses for why my property was so costly, but this post is for the public to know that you can find much better care at a much, much lower price (I have!), so keep looking if you want to spend less and get better service. read more

Talked to Jason about cleaning all of the leaves out of my yard. Seemed very knowledgeable about my grass and trees, recommended a two hour period of leaf cleanup and a grub/fertilizer treatment. I went with his recommendation in the hopes of getting my yard back together. His guys showed up, made some small piles and just mowed over the leaves. The "treatment" they did looked like they were taking small handfuls of whatever it was and randomly thrown around the yard. Mowed my grass as low as it could be even tho I never requested a mow, and then left without telling anyone all within about an hour and a half. Called and complained and Jason showed back up offering a discount and saying they could revisit it in a few weeks since they're busy. I'll find someone else. read more

Never used them before and won't use them again. Service was done quickly. HOWEVER. Unprofessionally. They couldn't be bothered to pick up a strings of patio lights to weed eat around our patio, and instead continued to weed eat right through them busting light bulbs Also, found one of our solar powered lights broken and chipped with one of the pieces broken pieces in the driveway. How could you miss that. no one had the decency to even make us aware of what happened. Knowing we were home. Sorry job. read more

Hired them to mow and do a flower bed. The mow job was terrible, patches missed, streaks that looked walking paths and on one side of the house they only used the weed eater. I had to go behind them with a blower and finish blowing the grass off. They planted a tree after removing one. Claimed they couldn't remove the roots so they just picked a spot and planted the new tree. They also just left the area in a big pile of dirt. The did my flower bed and did not replace the weed fabric that was already there, also didn't clean between bricks as stated. I would not suggest you let them do any work unless your at home. I was very disappointed with the lack of quality services they provided. Also, I called them to ask about fixing the issues. I was told I'd get a call right back..no call but they did attempt to charge my card for the balance for the job. I would not recommend this company. The one star is for the ladies in the office, they were very pleasant to speak with. read more

I thought they were called 'the lawn dude', not 'the dude who will cut down your plants regardless of if they're flowers you put in a brick-outlined area.' They really don't care about your yard or what you grow, all that they care is if they get paid even if they didn't do the work for it. Their only redeeming quality is they can be in and out in a few minutes if you keep your back gate locked. They don't even care about doing their job well enough to knock on the front door and ask if someone could unlock it - Give them an easy out and they'll take it. read more

On 09/29/22, I had my yard cut by this company. The young man on the riding lawn mower was caught on my security cameras riding way too fast and actually snagged and damaged my fence...as a result of his negligence (riding too fast and getting carelessly too close to my fence). Then he and his coworker (they both saw the damage and ignored it) didn't even bother contacting me to tell me. If I didn't have cameras...I would have never known the moment they damaged my fence. The alleged Supervisor came out to my home and rather than resolve the issue immediately and monetarily...via the payment amount for the damages for my fence guy to repair...he foolishly pulled at my fence (as if that would fix it back to its original state) then when I said that wouldn't be sufficient...he stated he needed my fencer to repair first and then they would reimburse for my damage. Isn't that something?! Scammers! To this day...I have yet to be reimbursed for my damages. It's my fault for not leaving these guys alone after the very first time they cut my lawn...about 2mths ago. Everytime they have cut my lawn, they left heavy trimmings all over the yard...making it look almost worse than before they cut because it looked like hay was left all over my otherwise lovely green grass. Horrible lawn service...don't use these guys! They're rip offs! read more

This is the first time I've used The Lawn Dude, and I was not very happy with the service. Customer service over the phone was polite and professional. The gentlemen doing the lawn servicing were quick--but maybe too quick. I feel if they would have slowed down they would have done a better job. The edging was shoddy in places, and they neglected to do an entire wall of the house. The mowing was haphazard at best: some places weren't mowed at all and some of the yard was scalped. There's a big brown circle in my front yard now from their mower. I was told the manager would call me about my complaints but it's been three days and he hasn't called. The initial quoted price was okay but they tacked on extra because they said the yard was overgrown. If it's overgrown, they should have easily spotted where they neglected to mow, right? read more

I have been working with Jason for about a year now and I found him through Yelp. At first I was a little disappointed by the reviews however upon comparing him to other reviews on Yelp I decided to go with him because I thought that the prices were fair when I called. I have nothing but great things to say about Jason and his staff they are very professional punctual and above all thorough. I recently called Jason to discuss an issue that the city had with my property and not only two key wait for almost an hour to meet with the city inspector, which was late, he was able to convince him that the issue was not on my property line and save me a lot of money on having to trim back some big trees near my property line. Being that I am from out of town it really helps having someone local that knows city ordinances and is very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend the lawn dude and their team. read more

Called to have my lawn done while i was out of town. Explained that i recently planted trees in my yard, they were saplings, & explained that there are brick borders around each so please be aware when cutting around those areas. I was reassured that it would not be a problem. When my husband got home from work the day they cut, he checked the saplings & saw that TWO saplings on the side of our house were destroyed. Actually, one was completely yanked out of the ground & all that remained of the other was a battered stick in the ground about 4 inches tall (it started at about 12 inches w/buds & leaves). Mind u, both were encircled in brick. I called & spoke to Jason ( i think he's the owner), was told that he wasn't aware of anything like that, & his guys that worked with him hadn't reported anything. I told him I was out of town, & will look into it when i got home, & would call him then. I have been calling for over a week & keep being told that Jason will call me back, but he hasn't. I was even willing to give them a chance at redemption (maybe foolishly, but I try 2 give people a chance) if they would return & cut my lawn for free, but nothing. I paid almost $100 for lawn care (They charge extra if u have a corner lot & extra if they consider it overgrown), ended up having my property destroyed, & am being disregarded/ignored. I have been unable to mow the lawn recently so we signed up with The Lawn Dude over a month ago. They offer recurring service only with your credit card on file. For our standard lawn, is was $40 per mow plus a charge for it being overgrown the first time. The initial call, confirmation, and follow-up call was great. They skipped the next scheduled mowing without any attempts to contact us. 4 weeks after the first mow they returned and instead of picking up a bright, yellow grocery bag that flew into our yard, they ran it over spreading it over the lawn and left it there. They did something similar the first visit, but we dismissed that as a fluke because our lawn was overgrown. After the second time, I contacted them and was told they would have the manager call me. They never called me. I understand stuff happens, but I do not appreciate being dismissed. I have called and requested to cancel the service but could only leave a message during business hours. read more

I called this business because of the reviews, and was scheduled for an "estimate" today. Actually they don't provide free estimates but they will come out and survey your property but then they expect to get paid - either by doing the work or as a service charge if you decide against hiring them. Anyway, I got up early expecting them mid morning. By 1:00 they still hadn't showed, but I was promised they were still coming - and that they were instructed to call when they were on their way. Ok so I'm getting frustrated and went to run some errands. Finally at 4:30 (they close at 5:00) I called them back and cancelled the appt - and told them why. I suspect they never would have shown up. What kind of business does this, just leave people hanging all day?? They are like a lawn care mill - getting as many customers lined up as they can, and make money hand over fist by taking on all who call. Who cares whether the customer is served in a timely or courteous manner. Their business model I cannot recommend, and I hired someone else that same evening. read more
