I have a lawn care company and have been in business for 35 years. I've done business with Watsons for at least 25 years. They have always been difficult to deal with, but I sucked it up because they were close to my home. They recently sold me a carburetor for a line trimmer that didn't run properly. They wouldn't help me get it running which I felt that could have. They left me without a tool that I needed to work that day and they were very rude at the counter. I would never shop in there ever again. They also tried to sell me a new line trimmer, but I had a new line trimmer in my hand. they cared more about selling me new equipment than fixing my equipment. they don't seem to care about their customers anymore. After going to multiple places for service on my mower I was blessed to find Watson's Lawn Equipment. Stan was so helpful and personable, and he son Stan also went above a beyond to help me. Being a single woman the previous places made me feel incompetent and Watson's did not. He fixed my mower as good as new and the price was very excellent! This place is a ripoff. I had my generator cleaned here and the owner screwed me with the price. It cost $8 for the replacement part and since he wasn't doing much work,, he charged $175.00 for labor. I would not refer this clown to anyone else for repair. I have lived in this neighborhood for 15 years. Watson's is great! They have always given me excellent service at fair prices. They've serviced my lawn mower, trimmer, and blower regularly and kept them all in good repair. When I've needed a quick fix (like a new gas line), they've done it on the spot and only charged me for the parts. it's so nice to have a friendly family small business like this right in our back yard! I would not recommend this place for a generator repair. I took a Briggs and Stratton 8500 in because it had locked up, probably from lack of use. After checking the generator out, the owner told me that the generator would cost to much to repair and that I should probably get someone to buy it for scrap and charged me $34 for checking it out. It had ran fine before, so I decided to get a second opinion. I took it to Texas Power at 2000 W. Sam Houston PW and $102.00 later the generator is working like a champ. Cynthia's review could not be more WRONG! I called ahead to ask for parts which I was sure would not be there, but they were. Told them what I thought was wrong with the lawn mower and they confirmed my diagnosis. Picked up parts and they even gave me tips and things to look for when I install the parts, they even offered help via phone is I get stuck. Great guys!
