Outstanding service from Larson Air! James came out incredibly quickly on a Saturday morning and had our AC back up and running before what was expected to be the hottest day of the year. Over the past several years I had been working with another air conditioning service provider in the valley. When spring rolled around this year during my planned annual maintenance window for my ac unit, I noticed a "$26 Complete System Check" promo offered by Larson. I figured this was perfect timing to connect with the team at Larson and schedule a visit. Scheduling was a breeze and the office staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. My technician James was running a little early for our appointment, and I was given the option to keep my existing service window or have him arrive early. We bumped up my appointment and he arrived right on time. James was incredibly polite, professional and paid close attention to every detail, making sure to clean up after himself. I fully expected James to find some issues with my AC unit as I know Larson operates by a different philosophy than some other service providers. My experience is that Larson likes to be proactive and give you the opportunity to tackle issues before they become emergencies (super important as your ac unit gets older). This can be seen as both good and bad depending on your goals and needs for your AC unit. The choice is always yours to proceed with the work or wait on it. I'm grateful they provide me with data and information to make an informed decision. In my case there were a few recommendations during the visit, and I chose to proceed with the most critical to remediate. I'm actually very thankful James found a potential bearing issue before my warranty was out. Larson was as good or even better than I remember them being when I worked with them at my old house. I've been using Larson for years and have always been happy with the service. Today, I woke up, and my AC unit was off. Tried breakers, etc. Called and they had a guy out to my place within 45 minutes on a Sunday. Now that is fast! Travis did an excellent job. Turns out a wire had fried. Got me back up and running. It was already up to 82 degrees (see photo), so it was not comfortable. It's now blowing cold air again. Thankfully, I won't have to go to the hotel tonight. Keep up the great work guys! read more

Larson Air Conditioning is the most unprofessional, dishonest, and abysmal service-based company I've ever used. If you live in Phoenix, you understand that getting your HVAC replaced in the summer is essentially extortion. But this review isn't about their ludicrous prices, it's about receiving damaged goods, improper installation, terrible customer service, and a level of gaslighting that rivals your worst past relationship. I was out of state when it was determined that the HVAC on my house needed to be replaced. My elderly parents were staying at my house, so they were able to receive all members of the Larson team in person while I did the bulk of the communication by phone. I paid the deposit (half) and the unit was installed. They told my parents and me everything went well, but I had my dad take a picture of the unit from the backyard (remember, it's on the roof) just in case. I noticed a bent panel and dangling wires. A woman called to collect final payment and I brought this to her attention. It was news to her. As you might expect, it was done incorrectly but they were prepared to take final payment until I pointed out their errors. They sent two people do a shoddy repair job. I spoke to Josh, the installation manager, and he claims that was the plan all along. My thought - you purposely damaged a new unit and installed it incorrectly? Aside from the loose wires and damaged panel, they had to come back with the crane to replace the entire base/brackets that support the unit. All according to plan, supposedly. Once they replaced the brackets, fixed the loose wires, and covered up the damage, they again called asking about final payment. I said I wanted to speak to Josh about actually replacing the damaged panel rather than just covering it up. Josh assured me it was ordered and would be there in 1-2 days. I had to call a week later because I never heard back. They said they needed to order the part. Someone came today to replace the panel (this is like 2 weeks later at this point), but it was the wrong size. Spoke to Josh once more. He had one in house he wanted to try because the new one would take another 10 days to arrive. In case you're wondering, I did provide final payment promptly (stupidly) and I'm still waiting for full resolution. This is the short version of it because the actual exchange wouldn't be able to fit within the text limitations. Save your money. More importantly, save your time and sanity. Look elsewhere for any AC repairs and replacements unless you enjoy expensive services you can't depend on. read more

They are dishonest. I decided to use them because I liked their salesman. He showed me my attic and showed how he measured how much insulation I already had from a previous company. That company (unknown to me since it was before I owned the house) had posted little measuring rulers several places throughout the attic so they could make sure they did a thorough job. When Larson's crew came to install additional insulation, they actually crawled around all over the attic and removed every ruler. They put exactly 1 up right by the attic door so I would think the correct number of inches of insulation were added. They literally crawled all over the attic, taking all the other ones down so I would have no idea if I got what I paid for. Don't trust them! read more

We were very impressed with the service we received from Larson Air. Our AC went out, and of course, in the July Arizona heat. We knew we needed to replace the unit soon, and should have taken care of that before the heat hit. I requested another follow up check up on my AC system after 2 previous visits which was so unhappy about. They sent Sam Nunez the next day. Sam is very polite and together with Tim, they did what I needed from them. They took their time to make their assessment and readings. Also explained possible conditions of what was I experiencing. Great company. Originally found them on Yelp. Just had a second AC unit replaced by them. They came out right away when we called. They sent out Saul. He clearly communicated options and we chose to replace since the unit was 21 years old. They definitely aren't the cheapest but the people are responsive and friendly and they use Trane products which I like. They also didn't try to nickel and dime us like a lot of AC places do. Install crew came the next day. Did full replacement of entire system in one day and threw in a few extra little things (no extra charge) and explained what they were and why. My a/c was cooling very well, but my split system air handler was leaking. Another company had said the entire system (9 years) should be replaced. Travis found a small hole through which the water would flow when the fan was blowing and blocked the hole. So far, the simple repair is "holding", and I appreciated Travis' expertise, ingenuity, and honesty about what I might expect going forward. He was terrific! read more

The service that was done was good enough, however the sales tactics and pressure was like dealing with a care dealership! I was given a bunch of numbers for services and then told more numbers if I join their membership. Then when I looked at the invoices some of the numbers weren't even the correct prices. I needed to dispute the numbers, thank god I had written all the numbers down for proof. I was told a price for sealing ductwork and then when it came time to pay I was told that number was for 2 systems even though that was never stated. They knew they were wrong and took that price off, which leads me to believe they knew they were trying to pull a fast one. Included in the membership are up to 6 sensors that they install, well AJ did not have enough at time of service and he would come back. I haven't heard from him since so I never received them. Also wasn't told that the membership is for 2 years so an auto- renew, if you cancel early there is a charge. Just know when you have them in your home you need to write down everything they quote so you have proof! It honestly was a horrible experience. I'm so please that I picked  Larson to service my air conditioner.  My Trane air conditioner is just under 2 years old and I wanted to have a spring maintenance check.  In the past, I was disappointed with other companies because they would try to upsell me on work that needed to be performed, even with a fairly new Trane unit.
