As a family of over 7 years, the last 6-8 months have taken a sad serious decline. Two assistant directors quit very abruptly and was due to one person, the director. There was a policy put in place that there was always to be someone present at the desk for safety reasons, this is not the case. IF they are, it's sharing pictures, sharing their weekend updates or inappropriate talk and passive aggressive avoidance. Teachers are not happy and on a weekly basis there is new staff there that you have absolutely no clue who is who. Current admin staff does not follow up on concerns brought up or tell you that the safety of your child cannot be guaranteed! There have been countless times that there is not soap, towels or sometimes toilet paper! When we joined this daycare we were advised there was a no violence policy. When a child was screaming his head off and all kids had their ears plugged, a child got up slapped another kid across the face, teacher asked to have child sent home. At pick up, said child was still there and the Assistant Director was not even aware of the situation! On the topic of discipline, another child is is a menace has head butted my child knocking his tooth out, when I asked the bus driver/school age kids adult what was the police if a child does not behave during summer camp, the child loses the next days field trip or multiple trips. This was for my own clarification and understanding and it was probably also twisted as was utilization of the bus, "when she said just message ME, and I'll get him." Then I am "spoken" to like a child by her boss. Tuition is the highest in the area and the program costs are going up come August 2019 ranging from $275 infant to $233 preschool, a week is absolutely nothing like it used to be! My oldest left there so ready for kindergarten, my youngest doesn't even know how to properly write is name correctly! Food is absolutely disgusting and will change without notification. They have gone thru two cooks in a year. Have heard conversations when signing in my child that they do not have food on hand for lunch or snacks. School will run contests to get positive reviews on google, Facebook, or yelp reviews to drive up enrollment but they'll say to reward the teachers. The bus driver aka "school age teacher" does not do homework with kids as presented. If you friend her on social media, she will share your posts with the Narcissist Ego Maniac Director, whom is best friends her the regional director so if you ever have a concern with anything, it falls on deaf ears. All she does is talk sweet and kiss ass to the families that need it and do what she can to get her staff to like her and stay. But when you turn on her she'll kick you out! I never dealt with her intentionally for all these years because I saw how fake she was... and when there's a issue she is vindictive and full of lies! Like another parent posted... the computer lab is a TV room! The playground is crap... an email went out with new tuition rates and all the improvements, including the playground, nothing visible has been improved...they spent thousands of dollars to update the lobby and paint walls but nothing invested for the kids. There is a big issue when a pre-k class goes thru 4 teachers in 2 months. In a short period of time probably 10-15 teachers quit. The only teachers that are the best are Sonja and Gayle. More long term families are leaving because of all said issues. And the best staff there are gone... common problem denominator is the Director! Go elsewhere! Update: it's been communicated by friends that will soon be leaving that Staff and Administration is asking parents to post positive reviews on these platforms and they will be rewarded with lunch, where in the past reviews earned the teachers gifts... sounds like bribery at its best. I worked here for years as a 2s teacher! My grandson was also enrolled here. As a teacher I loved it, we weren't perfect , as no human us, but I know for a Fact we loved our jobs and tried hard to provide great service. I'm still friends with the staff, and I left 5 years ago, also I'm still close with some parents, who's children were in my class. The staff truly love the children and try to make life long connections. As like any place of business, there's things that could be improved, but overall the care, cleaning, food, attitudes, and kids were great. U HIGHLY RECOMMEND you stop in and have a visit. I love it, best daycare I have seen! Daycare is a necessary evil for me, I would rather not have to send my babies but since I have to there are few places that could be better than Phx Children's Academy in Surprise. I am confident that my babies are WELL cared for at PCA! My kids are 2 years and 10 months and they both love it, my 2 year old occasionally throws a fit to go home :). My son was in a Sunrise Preschool location previously and it is like night and day! PCA is so friendly and CLEAN! The teachers give thorough daily reports, which for my children's age group is very important to me! It is a bit more expensive than or previous daycare but the old saying, you get what you pay for definitely applies. They take great care of my sons and they do a great job helping him learn! Staff is nice and professional. I think all daycares are pricey but PCA is a bit cheaper than my last few other centers. One Con for them is they are a little lax on discipline as far as other kids being too aggressive. My son was for sure ready for kindergarten though with their program. All the good teachers have been ran off by the school director. My children have been mistreated by several teachers and when brought to the school director and asst director I was dismissed and the blame was directed at me my husband and my kids. The teachers have expressed that they dislike the director not only to myself but to many other parents, this is unprofessional. When I finally gave my notice to remove my kids, not only was I ignored by administration my kids continued to be mistreated. Leaving was the best decision we made. My kids are happier at their new school and are actually learning GO FIGURE. If you need a babysitter then this is the place to go. But if you want your kids to ACTUALLY learn stay far away from here. I was paying $500 a week and was not getting the value of my money. Maybe it's just me, but after reporting them to DCS due to my daughter coming home with multiple unknown and unexplained scratches on her back, the staff has been really standoffish. I'm currently in the process of searching for another child care provider. They shouldn't mix business with their emotions. I had my child enrolled here for 3 months. Half of the time the lunches they serve are not kid friendly, they change the menu at the last minute without informing parents in a timely manner... My child came home without having eaten anything but apple slices TWICE because he didn't like what they were serving and had changed the menu on me. He was there for a total of 8 hours and no one thought to give him more food. The advertised curriculum is a lie. They don't focus on academia, they only focus on maintaining a fake, bubbly display at walk in. They don't teach Spanish, the only computer room time they get is to watch bob the builder. I have been taking my son here for the last 9 months. I have had the most amazing experience with all of the staff. Mrs Theresa and Mrs Megan have the best attitudes every day and have such a personal relationship with our family. They always greet us with a huge smile and are truly gifted with sweet personalities that love children and it shows every morning when they welcome them in. Mrs Stefani is my sons teacher and she is truly incredible! She is always teaching him something new and showering him with affection and praise. I'm so impressed with how this childcare location is ran. We have been with them through the covid pandemic and being in the healthcare field myself, they truly put the safety of the kids and the families at their top priority. I feel very confident leaving my child here every day and know that these three women value his safety as their top priority. I have been so thankful for the safety practices they have put in place to keep students and families safe during this pandemic and the support they have provided to all of the families in attendance. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for reliable, clean, safe, and friendly childcare. Great preschool! My toddler started here as an infant and we really feel very comfortable here. Friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable teachers, clean building and the one on one communication is great. After the 1st day they called us all by our first names which is nice. Monthly menus are printed so you know what your child is eating for breakfast and lunch...overall it's a great place! I was nervous about switching from in home to corporate, but this was a great move. They have a structured and fun learning day planned out for your kids as they grow. 5 Stars! read more

This place is absolutely incredible!!! I just love them. They get to know you and they make you feel like family. This is not your standard daycare. I am a first time mother and agonized over the thought of trying to find a place for my son for months. I toured a lot of in home care and for $20 a day, you get what you pay for. No good. Then I found Phoenix Children's Academy and they even stressed the fact that any parent needs to have that warm feeling to be able to leave their child with someone. Trust your instinct. Boy was I right on my instinct with this daycare! At thirteen weeks my son started here and they even do fun activities and wall art at that young of an age. My son will stay here until he goes to Kindergarten. Anytime you pass any staff member in the hall they say hello, and everyone is so upbeat and positive it looks like they all love getting up in the morning and going to their job.
