Montessori is so important and this school's approach is full of love, play, independence, nurture, art, music, dance, and strong education. My daughter's confidence, independence, learning, and social skills have soared because of this school. She has so many friends and I have made friends with the sweet community of parents. The layout of this school is so special. The outdoor area is massive and the classrooms have so many toys and books. Most of all, these teachers are the most compassionate women. They are expert teachers. My daughter LOVES her teacher. They have the most special relationship. All of the teachers are warm people that I feel very comfortable with. They transform these little balls of mush to independent big kids in the most loving way. I feel like I can call any time and when I have, any 5 of the teachers would magically know exactly what's going on with my child at that moment! In the beginning, when I needed updates on my daughter, this was the biggest comfort. They were so loving and kind during that difficult adjustment to school for the first time. I know as a teacher myself, this time of life is precious and goes by very fast. I want my daughter to have this time learning through play and toys, learning through friendships, learning through art and music, and learning outside before she starts kindergarten. Sorry, but as a teacher myself, I have observed TK. Not doing it. I want my child to have one more amazing year before public school. She will have 12 years of public school; Montessori is special. The school also creates the most precious memories with special events that I will cherish forever. Potty training was accomplished quickly and with so much encouragement. Parking is easy. If you are considering, sit down with Ms. Kumi. All of our neighbors sent their kids. We were told: You MUST send your child there. They were right. I am very thankful.

The owners and staff have dedicated many years to this school, making a lasting difference in the lives of children across generations, and it truly shows in everything they do. My son gained so much from an early age--learning how to color, hold a pencil correctly, write his name, and even begin addition and subtraction. The summer camps are excellent, the dance classes are fun and engaging, and the holiday celebrations beautifully reflect diversity and respect for all cultures. The environment is warm, welcoming, and inclusive, which made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. While we are sad to be leaving Montessori, we are also very proud that our son is ready for his next step. We are grateful for everything this school has given him and highly recommend House of Children to other families

From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt an overwhelming sense of warmth, safety, and true care -- the kind you'd hope for but rarely find. Ms. Lisa is the kind of teacher every parent dreams of. Nurturing, wise, and endlessly patient -- like a second mother to our daughter and a true support system for us as parents. She made every child feel seen, safe, and special. The way she handled her classroom with grace, joy, and structure made such a lasting impact on our daughter. You could tell she truly *loved* what she did, and her students felt that every single day. She also made learning fun and rewarding by always offering little prizes for positive reinforcement. Whether it was stickers, small toys, or thoughtful surprises, the kids were so motivated and proud. It was never about the reward -- it was the way Ms. Lisa made each child feel noticed and celebrated for their effort and kindness. And Ms. Vicky, her amazing assistant, was just as kind and attentive. Always there with a gentle smile, ready to lend a helping hand or give encouragement when the kids needed it. They filled the days with so much joy -- pizza parties, cooking activities, fun themes, and learning moments disguised as pure fun. Our daughter came home every day glowing with stories and pride in what she learned or created. She was genuinely excited to go to school -- and as a parent, there's nothing more comforting than knowing your child is not only safe but *happy* and thriving. We joke that we wish Ms. Lisa could follow our daughter all the way to college -- that's how deeply we love and trust her. This school, and these teachers, have left a lifelong imprint on our hearts. We are forever grateful. If you're looking for a preschool where your child will be loved, encouraged, and truly *known* -- look no further. This is the place.

My family was very sad to leave Bright Start. The only reason we left is because it was time for our daughter to go to kindergarten. And Ms. Lisa and Ms. Vicky did an exceptional job of preparing my daughter for the transition to kinder. If I could give Bright Start 10 stars, I would.

We are fortunate beyond belief to have found this incredible school. It has been the most wonderful launching pad for my little one, setting her up for a healthy, curious, kind, and loving life. I have full confidence as she enters the "big school" (Kindergarten) next week that she will be ready socially AND intellectually thanks to the loving care and attention received from the teachers and leadership at New Generation. I found this school after trying many others in the area. New Generation is both play and academically focused, always clean, and has a GORGEOUS backyard play area (I always say it feels heavenly back there). I'll never ever forget how wonderful it felt to pick my daughter up in such a safe and loving environment every day and have her run across that playground to hug me. The school is not only kid-friendly, but parent friendly. They have always been kind and supportive in a way that parents of preschoolers need... they just get it. The front office empathizes and gives of their time and attention, always making me feel safe and seen. They also throw a great party!! The Fall Festival every year is seriously so much fun - we're still planning to go as a family even after we've left! There are always holiday activities, celebrations, shows, adorable Graduations... everything is just so perfect. Most importantly, the teachers are INCREDIBLE. We had Ms. Claudia, Ms. Laura, and Ms. Favi throughout the years, three of the most lovely women, always with a focus on learning, growth, development, and kindness. The kiddos spend so much time at preschool, it has been very comforting to know it is such a wonderful environment, complete with care and attention from very involved teachers. Ms. Favi, our current teacher, truly looks at her students as if they were her own, and treats them as such. My daughter loves her so, and dreams of being a teacher one day because of how wonderfully Ms. Favi does it. It will be so hard to say goodbye to her, and there will be no shortage of tears (mom included). I highly recommend this school for your sweet little ones. It feels like family, and I will forever be grateful to have found this special home away from home during such formative years.

Now, four years later, he is graduating as a Blossom, their equivalent of Transitional Kindergarten. Among his graduating class, he is the longest attending student and the very first child to start as a Seedlet and complete all four years of the program from beginning to end. We proudly refer to him as a founding member and a LIFER! Watching our child grow alongside his cohort of classmates over these past four years has been such a special experience for our family, and for all of the families who have been part of this journey together. Mariya, the administrator, not only has the professional background and expertise, but more importantly the personality, talent, passion, and true calling to make this establishment the magical place that it is. She has an incredible ability to build diverse, beautifully balanced classroom communities, and her continued investment in both talent and professional development for the staff truly sets Harmon Oaks apart in meaningful and developmentally impactful ways. One of the things that immediately stood out to us, and completely put us at ease as first-time parents enrolling our child in a nursery program, was how thoughtful and intentional their onboarding process is. Instead of introducing many children at once, they bring them in one at a time so each child has the opportunity to build trust, bond with the teachers, and adjust to the environment in a calm and supported way before another child joins. That level of care made a tremendous difference in our son's transition into preschool. He bonded with his teachers very quickly, and we truly believe that strong foundation shaped how secure, confident, and excited he felt coming to school every single day. Harmon Oaks has created something truly special with their Reggio-inspired, STEM-focused approach. The environment encourages curiosity, creativity, collaboration, problem solving, and independence in ways that feel natural and joyful for children. Over the years, we have watched our son grow academically, socially, and emotionally through hands-on learning experiences that genuinely sparked his love of learning. Our son is graduating from preschool already equipped with foundational reading and writing skills, a deep sense of mathematical thinking, problem solving abilities, a love for experimenting and discovery, basic sign language, class etiquette, self regulation, and genuine respect for both friends and teachers. But most importantly, he is graduating with a true love for learning and a strong sense of belonging within a collaborative classroom community. That, to us, is the greatest gift a school can give a child. The teachers and staff have been extraordinary throughout every stage, from Seedlets to Sprouts to Bloomers and now Blossoms. They are warm, attentive, patient, and deeply invested in each child's development. It always felt like our son was truly known, understood, and cared for as an individual. As parents, there is nothing more meaningful than knowing your child feels safe, loved, challenged, and excited to learn. Harmon Oaks NoHo West gave our family that and so much more. We are endlessly grateful for the role they played in our son's early childhood, and we could not recommend them more highly. PS: I just asked my son if he wanted me to include anything extra in my review and he said "You forgot to name all the teachers I love!
