I had no idea there was a Lego store here. My son and I were walking around and immediately went in. They had plenty of employees and they were pretty full with customers. My son set his eyes on a NASA Artemis space shuttle. This was the last one in stock so he was stoked! They had a great supply of Legos. Great place!

Opening day, the line was around the building.

We finally made it, a week after the grand opening! We tried to take our kids on opening day, and we underestimated the anticipation for the opening of this store! I mean, being that it's the first Lego store in Virginia, we knew it was kind of a big deal, but didn't know how BIG. We had grabbed some dinner in the area and walked over and OH MY GOODNESS, there was a line wrapped around the building. We stood in line to see if the line would move quickly, but a manager appeared and let us know that it was going to be a two hour wait. Keep in mind, it was 6 pm just then and the store closed at 8 pm that night. He told us that people had been lining up since 2AM (excuse me, what?!). The store opened at 10 AM. Yes, thank you, but no. Just no. So, we lessened the blow and disappointment and brought the kids for ice cream instead LOL. We're not quitters however, so we decided to try again and returned on the morning of Veteran's Day. Again, filling our bellies before the wait. No one needs to be hangry haha. There was a line, but not nearly as long as opening day. The line was shorter than to the corner of the street, so we waited and it wasn't that bad! We finally got inside and it was pretty cool. There is a team member letting people in in small waves. I will say though, that for the first store in Virginia, the space is quite small. There are store exclusives and lots of builds in swiveling showcases on display. They have a build your own character station (3 for $9.99, and each character can be 5 pieces each), as well as a small building station. We bought some Brick Headz and some keychains for this visit. My kids, of course, couldn't wait to get home and build. There was still a line when we left and I'm sure it will continue to be that way for the foreseeable future, especially with the holidays coming up. It's almost like they have already outgrown the space! Check them out! If you're a Lego fan, you'll love it in one way or another. Enjoy, Friends!

Happy to see that we have this new(ish) addition to Town Center as the only other one I've visited it at Disney Springs in Orlando, FL.

I have visited this store a few times. I always end up…read moregetting tons of stuff and spending a small fortune! haha! The shop itself is very narrow, tightly-spaced and a little tough to navigate through. But it's still worth a look. Great selection of all kinds of toys, old and new and many different brands as well. I've managed to get some interesting deals on some must-have items. I even found an entire toy set I had when I was a kid, which are some of my favorite types of finds as they take me back to my childhood. The prices can sometimes be a bit steep, but if you're a serious collector or you're just a big kid at heart, then it's totally worth it! My favorites are the wrestling figures, there are so many to choose from and some you can't find anywhere else. Some awesome additions to the collection have been found here. However, some toys in the store are hanging on the shelf in a plastic bag, which makes it difficult to see what they are and to browse through as I have to take all of them off the rack one-by-one to get to the one I want to see. If there was an easier way to do that, it'd be great. I'm sure the other patrons don't appreciate me holding up traffic while I rifle through several dozen little baggies that are above my head, trying not to tear the plastic or knock everything off the wall while I am squeezed in the six-inch amount of floor space between the displays. I also like the Hot Wheels cars, the blind boxes, and they usually have some really cute stuff by the front door like scented candles with cool themes, plushies, and bright, colorful goodies that could lift anyone's spirit with their innocent and happy stylings. Overall, I think it's a great spot to get some really cool pieces of one's playful past or a new addition to the lifelong obsession! So whether you're a sentimental sap who needs a good reminder of simpler times, or if you have managed to maintain your imagination and enjoy some wholesome fun, then this is the place for you! (and me, since I happen to fit both descriptions.) (they could use some shopping baskets, though.)

Went in 5/27/25 to trade in some collectible figures for a PS2 I was looking at, after ab 30 minutes of waiting for an appraisal the staff comes back and says my figure is worth 192 on a trade for IN STORE CREDIT (w/ 20% added for trade in Tuesday's) not knowing the true value of what I had at the time, I accepted the trade and ended up buying a PS2, memory card, warranty, and 2 PS2 games as well which ended up costing me ~300 in total; despite having a figure worth 4-500 I was given a fraction of what it was actually worth and ended up OWING them money. They then claimed that I need to remember that "they are a small business so ‍" What VGH failed to realize is that I had NO issue trading the item in to them since WITH the money I got from the trade I was going to immediately spend it back at the store meaning they would only stand to have made money on our transaction. The issue I have is VGH pulling an underhanded move like this then turning around allowing me to then spend more of my money in store (when my trade-in value was never met in the first place). TLDR: VGH lost a potential returning customer who would have given significantly more money to this company in time than what they got by cheating me out a SINGLE collectible figure. EDIT: I was also given a 3rd party PS2 controller when I bought my PS2 which is a laughable business practice.

We received a humiliating lecture in not reading the receipt which has 8 different store credit policy that makes no sense considering this store appears to be a small vendor that relies on thr community to keep the doors open. But the icing in the cake was the store manager I believe, he didn't announce his role, slipped out of his mouth that most niggers can't read as the cashier was preparing the cash back return for the item after saying he will allow it this one time. I guess he decided to break his own policy that is written on his receipt of no cash back returns - only store credit by how huge my eyes got when I heard the horrible word come out of his mouth. I will never return and I feel sorry for the African American male store cashier that works there for his calm and kind demeanor is what made me purchase in the first place. I will also be reporting this place to the BBB as well, maybe I don't know how to read how to make sure racists store receives reviews that hurt them just like they hurt their customers.
