The open spaces to roam are essential for us, and we felt good about him being on the playground side. The staff was really nice on the way in and was occasionally walking the grounds, picking up, checking in, etc. Improvements needed: the hands-on toy section needs a redo. At one point, I'd say it was in excellent quality...but it's clear wear and tear and no investment have led to some of the tiny rooms leaving little to the imagination, with most stuff scattered about with no structure (and existing toys worn out). Kids can make the most of a lot, but this needs a refresh. Side note...the furniture has some sharp points too...if budget can't permit replacing with things with smoother edges, then at least put some covers on the corners. We didn't feel good about that section and tried to block and cover it. That, or gate it. All aside, we are grateful for all the little spots like these that give variety to our kiddo with special needs.

The staff was nice and helpful around while the party was going on, and the venue itself was clean and everything was nice and tidy (at least before the kids got into stuff, ha!). I would say on our observation that this would probably be more ideal for 5-10 based on the amount of amenities they offered for play based on the size and skill needed to do some of them (e.g. arcade games, skeeball basketball goals, air hockey). While some of the infant and toddlers area did have it gated in with a few things it felt less of an experience for 5 and under. That said, it was still perfect for a private event. We'll definitely be planning something here and try to come back and update the review once we see how it is in a typical day for the public to use the space.

It made the check-in process confusing and gave the impression that staff were not well informed (also took away from the time kids could play/were standing around waiting). Later I did notice one employee "cleaning" with gloves on so I thought she was using chemicals or organizing but it was just mostly just dumping all the toys into the shopping cart. The promotion itself ended up being much less of a deal than it appeared online. Overall, the experience left me disappointed, especially considering the cost. I had been considering this venue for a future birthday party for my children, but after seeing how things were run during this visit, I will likely look elsewhere. For the price being charged for these parties, I expected a cleaner, more organized, and better-managed experience. Compared to other local centers, the activities were limited/disorganized. My kids stayed entertained for over two hours and would have been happy to stay if we'd had the time. This is a great option for a rainy day activity. The only downside is we were hoping to grab lunch beforehand and there weren't a lot of options nearby that we were able to find. At $12 a ticket for adults and children aged 1 and up it's a reasonable price!

There was a summer camp and the largest field trip group that they had all summer (according to the workers) with every station so crowded with space and sharing-oblivious kiddos. We asked the workers if they post field trip info online so we can avoid those days and they said you must call ahead of time to see if anything is scheduled. CALL AHEAD, y'all. They also told me that after 12:30 is the least busy time of day. As a heads up military, first responders, and educators get a discounted ticket (for self, not the entire party). My UT prof husband paid half-price. The staff is very friendly and working hard to keep the areas stocked and clean. A moving target, but they did their best! ;-) There is a gift shop, an amazing hand-washing station independent of the bathrooms, STEM areas, outdoor water and bubble play, a playground, a garden, forts, science experiments, train tables, play food/nutrition area, a giant lite-bright, rocket ships, race tracks, and numerous wind tunnel/scarf tubes (totally the technical term. ha). So many areas for kids with sensory needs and everything is very interactive. We have a membership to Children's Museum of OR, and in comparison, this is much more hands-on learning than the historical feel of OR's. I felt that the Muse is a great fit for the younger kiddos (toddlers, babies, etc) with it being all one story and easy to navigate, huge crowds aside. Amazing museum. Just know to call ahead so you're not overwhelmed. We plan to go back again soon and pay extra $3 p/p for the planetarium.

The exhibits are diverse and many hands on touch this or that ability. There were some dated videos of the Appalachian culture but honestly it gave it an appeal and definitely a time gone by. The exhibits and explanation of the Manhattan project were very interesting. All of us walked away learning a lot about oak ridge and that era around world war 2. We spent a good two hours in the museum and didn't read it all, we happened to be walking in right before a school group of 30 little kids and parents. Initially it was loud but there was enough space that we didn't have to be around all the chaos real little kids bring. Some of the exhibits were geared for smaller kids but our 2nd grader had no problem enjoying the experience. They have a pretty big life-sized doll house, which was very cool along with old relics of dolls etc from different eras. At the end, they have a train room that is pretty cool with towns all lit up and a train going throughout them.. very cool place. Very neat place. $8.00 for adults $7.00 for seniors aged 62+ and children under 3 are free.

Another addition to this latest concept of indoor toddler play spaces. Went and checked this out…read morerecently for a play date with my sister in law and our girls. On the plus side, it is a good value (especially with siblings), and I also like that it is specifically targeted to younger (less than 5YO) kids so there were no older kids in there being wild like we've encountered at other similar play spaces. They also have a coffee shop so parents can grab a drink and station up at the tables nearby while kids play. Do note that they have set two-hour windows of playtime, and of course, we arrived at the end of one. So, we waited and went back to the lobby while an employee cleaned the toys and then went back in for the next session. Standard waiver to sign like all the places. Clean bathrooms with supply of wipes and diapers if needed. The only real downsides were parents who got busy working and didn't pay close attention to their little ones. Another negative is compared to the other places like this we have gone to, this is the least likely to have a wide variety of true imaginative play features. They have a big wooden climbing and slide structure and this bear air thing that blows scarves around, but other than that, just basic toys like blocks and riders/bouncies and a small kitchen with grocery carts. The kiddos enjoyed it and that's all that really matters at the end of the day!
