So, after getting lice the 2nd time (first time from my student, this time from my son who got it from a classmate), I wanted to have someone professional check my hair. Sure, I could've done it myself, but my hair was long, I didn't have someone reliable at home to help, and after spending an hour on my son's head, I didn't want to bother doing it anymore. The place wasn't hard to find. The office was nice and neat (of course, it had to be) and the staff was friendly. They started on me maybe 10 minutes after I got there. I was done in an hour and 7 minutes (I had long hair). They went through my hair very thoroughly. I picked a movie to watch during the process so I wasn't bored or anything. The technician answered questions. I was informed as much I needed to be. The price is a little high, I wish it could've been a little cheaper but since they don't have a lot of competition, it will have to do. Would've gotten 5 stars if it weren't for the price. I would recommend this place if you don't want to deal with the nitty gritty of lice. I also bought extra stuff just to help prevent it, which I really need since I work at a school. read more

They were super friendly and efficient. I was able to schedule a late appointment (6 pm). It was $12.50 for a lice check. We had our own special combs from a previous episode, otherwise we'd have to pay for the comb also. It turned out we were lice free and what I had seen on my daughter was just dry, flaky scalp. I appreciated the honest assessment and not having to pay for an unnecessary treatment. They gave me tips on what to look for if I suspect lice in the future, so that was also helpful. I unfortunately found myself here since a family member had lice and I needed to get checked just in case. The parking lot this location is in is very sketchy looking and the elevator is pretty scary. .. Once in the place it has a very small waiting room and my main concern was if i didn't have lice how would i come to a place where people come with lice and leave with none... well they are very careful and make sure to clean each room after every patient and you feel safe from not getting them if you don't have them. In the rooms they also have dvd players just in case you have to sit in the chair for a while. If you don't bring your own dvd they have a large selection to choose from. We didn't have lice and paid 12.50 for them to check us and give us the all clear. I wanted to do a review on this place for anyone unsure of what they do here and are a bit skeptical like I was! What a wonderful place! I panicked tonight thinking my child had lice. I called them and they got me in within 20 minutes of calling (7:30 pm). No wait when I arrived. Clean, caring, gentle, and professional. They put me and my child at ease. It was $17 for the lice check and $20 for the comb that comes with a lifetime warranty. Luckily, it wasn't lice, but if it were, then we would've definitely had them do the treatment. I highly recommend them. I just cannot tell you how relieved I was to have a place to go to. Like seriously at 26 did I ever think I would get this. Ugh. Disgusting and tedious and super gross. But these people were super awesome. Great personalities , fun to talk to and really knew their stuff. Let's be honest, if you have lice you really don't care how much it costs just as long as it's gone. For the time they spend its well worth it. But everyone is different depending on your hair. I have super long and thick hair so it took a while but well worth it. For my head and my sanity. I can't say enough good things about the Lice Place. My daughter was attending a ballet summer intensive in Houston while I was in another city. We had a small window for her to get treated during her break from dance. Her chaperone drove her over and Alicia, the manager, took her in without an appointment and stayed an hour and a half after closing to get her treated. Thank you so much for the great service and amazing help. For future reference, you do need to make an appointment to get treated. We didn't know this as this was our first experience with a lice treatment facility. My daughter said that they were very accommodating and thorough. I can't speak yet to the efficacy of the treatment, but she has a follow up appointment next week. She did say that she felt much better after leaving. read more

Made an appointment here a few weeks ago, due to the kids that I babysit for, and made an appointment for 10, the next day they called me and told me that they had double-booked and would have to push my appointment back to 10:45. I was fine with this, I understood because at work I sometimes did this too so it wasn't a big deal. I live an hour away and have a class at 1:30. When I got there, I waited an hour before she would see me because of her other client and I was late for my class that wasn't for almost 3 hours at the time of my appointment. She did a great job, but it didn't all go away. I made a follow up appointment on the phone and showed up, and when I got there, she told me that I wasn't on the schedule...the lady I spoke to hadn't put me on the schedule for that day and that I would have to come back another time. Reminder that I live an hour away. After a few minutes of trying to see if she could see me, she brought me back before her first appointment and checked my hair again, but it was super rushed. I don't blame any of it on the girl working, it seems like she's the only one who works there and is pretty exhausted. They definitely should hire more people and work on their scheduling skills. read more

Let's just face it...you never want to be in this position, but when your daughter comes home from summer camp, school, or playing with friends the last thing you want to worry about is LICE and this was how our summer started last year. It seems like little girls and all their hugging and exchanging hats, scarves, or playing beauty shop...so believe me it will happen. As much as an "hands on " parent I think I am no one is really quite prepared for lice...and I personally cried hysterically when I found them on my daughters head. So off to Google to find someone to help....The Lice Place to the rescue!!! These ladies are amazing...they sat my daughter down, popped in a movie and went to work, we were in and out in about an hour and that included me getting a head check (to be on the safe side). They are a bit pricey (if you get the premium package) but let me tell you it is so worth it alone for the LIFETIME FREE Headchecks!!! Oh yes! I had a very bad experience at this place . I made an appointment for a check up for my kids . I asked the person who answered the phone if the price for check up was 12.50 ea. child, she said yes. Great I went only for the checkup which they started using special combs. The person who made the appointment over the phone, who by the way was very rude, came out after our checkup with a catalog, pushing us to buy ridiculously expensive treatments. I told her that I was not going to do it at that time. At that point she told me that I have to pay the check up fee of $12.50 plus an additional $25.00 for ea. comb! So what was believed to be a $37.50 visit turned into a $112.50! No one ever disclosed to me over the phone or during checkup of the extra charges. She then started arguing with me that she told me over the phone when she never did . I didn't feel I had to pay for something that was not disclosed to me from the beginning . She didn't tell me on the phone as she is claiming . At this point she was yelling at me ...yes actually yelling, that I had to pay it . I asked to speak to the manager as she was this impolite and disrespectful. Turns out she is the manager and she went to call the owner. I thought maybe I can explain to the owner that this extra charge was not disclose to me and that I shouldn't be charged. To my surprise the owner was even WORSE than the manager calling me a liar and that her employee did tell me about the charge and if I didn't pay this, she was going to call the police on me. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this clinic is. It wasn't about how much the final bill was but more so that they never disclosed of extra charges and the rude and disrespectful attitude and actually calling a paying customer a liar and threatening!
