Our staff of pediatrician-trained technicians are available for "house calls" and will be dispatched to your home within hours of your call. Our technicians are courteous, experienced and empathetic. The technicians will come to your home with all the tools necessary to solve your lice problems. Our own effective, all-natural and non-toxic products will be used to treat the infestation and facilitate the process of the removing live lice and nits.
Our Mission is to provide families with a quick-response, natural, non-toxic ingredients system to deal with the consequences of head lice infestations. LTC is passionate about educating families; school and camp staffs; and administrators about lice prevention in order to mitigate the spread of lice in their highly susceptible populations.
History
Established in 2005.
Dr. Cohen, a practicing, board-certified pediatrician, was continually being asked by parents: What's the best treatment for head lice? At the same time, Solovay, a successful real estate agent in New York, was also battling recurring bouts of head lice in her own children.
The two women met and agreed that more effective lice treatments were needed in the industry. They combined their knowledge bases - Cohen's medical and scientific background and Solovay's business acumen to develop better methodologies and more effective lice-removal products.
By 2005, they had made enough progress with research and development to start a national business: Lice Treatment Center® Dr. Cohen formulated a line of natural & non-toxic ingredients, head lice-removal and prevention products.
Today, LTC is known nationally for its products and for delivery of around-the-clock, on-site, lice removal services in homes, schools, children's camps, and other locations.
Meet the Business Owner: Dr. Elin Cohen and Liz Solovay ..
Dr. Elin Cohen is a practicing board-certified pediatrician, the mother of two children, and co-founder of the Lice Treatment Center® (LTC), based in Connecticut. Currently medical director at LTC, she formulated all the non-toxic, natural LTC products sold nationally. Dr. Cohen holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and a medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. She completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City and a fellowship at Yale University.
Elizabeth Solovay is the mother of five children and co-founder of Lice Treatment Center® (LTC), based in Connecticut. Formerly a successful real estate agent in New York City, Solovay serves as president of LTC's national operations. She holds a degree in organization and management from Yale University and is an accomplished athlete (marathon runner and nationally ranked squash player). Solovay has appeared as LTC's spokesperson in major media outlet
