Has a vegan option! 1, but I took it. Coffee was fine. When you're vegan in Ireland, you'll kind of take any options available!

I loved the outdoor seating that allows you to take in the air, the narrow streetways, the buildings that have stood here for centuries. While we could only do outdoor seating at the time due to the COVID-19 lockdown measures, this turned out to be quite the good fortune. Where we sat was a nice spot to see the various people walking down the street, engage in conversation, all the while enjoying a cafe Americano and some tasty baked goods like brownies and shortbread with chocolate on top. If you know where to walk from the Eyre Square, it's a great find, moderately priced, and very tasty eats. Hopefully, the next time I can have some of the hot dishes they also offer when we return to Galway.

Both were excellent and very filling. The cafe is located just off the busy street and has some some outdoor seating. The window seating is great for people-watching. They have both books and newspapers as decorations/available for reading around the cafe. There's also two small restrooms (men and women, but they're individual rooms anyways). The staff were nice and the place was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

You can find parking at the QPark structures--there's no street parking. The restaurant was a little full, but not crowded so we got seated right away for a group of 4. Food was superb. They definitely do not mild down the spices--unless maybe they knew we could handle it ahah. Most Thai places level of spice tend to appeal to more..sensitive palettes if you catch my drift. This restaurant did not hold back with their spice, which I didn't mind. The flavor of the food was well balanced. I ordered the tom yum soup with chicken to start off, great tangy, sweet-ish and spicy flavor. Chicken was a little dry but I don't really mind it. I also ordered their lemongrass seasoned beef with rice which came with an over easy egg. Flavor was savory, well seasoned, spicy--balanced out well with the runny egg and rice. My table also ordered fried rice and a curry dish--everything was delicious and memorable. We may have over ordered because we had to do takeaway for the rest. The portion was pretty fair. The next day when I ate my leftovers of the lemongrass beef with the rice--it still was so tasty. 10/10 recommend this place! We didn't get to try their cocktails but they do have an open bar with some unique looking drinks!

The only thing to note is that the dishes weren't nearly as spicy as we're used to, but they had chili powder at the table so we could easily kick up the heat. The chilli Prawns and the Eggplant fritters were so delicious! My least favorite was the brushetta black olive tapenade. Had great wine with my meal. The service was pretty good. I would say it is too small in there per how many tables they have in there. Servers kept ramming into my chair by accident and knocking my purse off my chair. It did happen repeatedly none the less and was a bit irritating while trying to enjoy dinner.

We had to wait a couple of minutes for our table then were seated. Prior to coming to Cava Bodega, I had tried some tapas but not much so I wasn't sure what to expect. To start, my friend and I got a glass of wine then ordered food. For dinner, we ordered the anchovies with piquilla pepper, patatas bravas, and paella marinera. I had never tried anchovies so I was admittedly nervous but the dish was sooo good. Patatas bravas is a dish I've tried before but I really liked Cava's version. This was also my first time trying paella and it was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and had a great combination of flavors. For dessert, my friend and I ordered the churros. Can never go wrong with this sugary cinnamon delight and we were definitely happy! Overall, I had a great time at Cava and it was the perfect birthday celebration. If you want to give it a try, definitely go for it!

Cozy and interesting interior and noise level fine for conversation. The food was fabulous, especially after several nights of pub food. - Hapi bread and butter - 5/5 three kinds of bread all delicious and it is true, hard not to eat it all and get full before the very large main dishes arrive! - sole with samphire and cherry tomatoes - 5/5 outstanding fish on the bone, delicate flavors and a HUGE portion that I could not finish - strip steak - 5/5 my partner thoroughly enjoyed his steak - Steve's leaves - 5/5 this was a very delicious collection of slightly dill cucumber pieces, lettuce leaves, pomegranate seeds, cherry tomatoes, fennel, dill with a light dressing - refreshing! - side potatoes - 4/5 solid offering but nothing special - coconut and apricot sorbet with black and white sesame brittle - 5/5 a light and tasty way to finish off a very filling meal! Opened in 2011 by chef Jess Murphy and her husband, Dave, Kai has become one of Galway's most celebrated restaurants. While it doesn't have a Michelin star for fine dining, it has earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand and Ireland's only Michelin Green Star, recognizing both its outstanding food and commitment to local, sustainable ingredients. What impressed me most wasn't just how delicious everything tasted. Every plate looked like it belonged in an art gallery. We started with the Kelly oysters and Kai's signature Cupla Crab. The crab looked more like a modern sculpture than dinner, and the flavors were every bit as impressive as the presentation. The rainbow carrots may have been the best carrots I've ever eaten. And when a restaurant serves bread as good as Kai's Hapi Bakery loaf with incredible butter, it's easy to fill up before the entrées even arrive. For the mains, Brady's Strip Steak was perfectly charred and incredibly tender, while the signature Black Sole was outstanding. The Andarl pork chop was the only dish that didn't quite reach the same level, as we found it just a touch dry. The oregano potatoes made a hearty side for the table. Dessert finished the evening on a high note. Mum's Pavlova was almost too beautiful to eat, and my Smokey Teeling Whiskey Fudge & Espresso was the perfect ending.

The salad was large enough to feed two people, & there was only one of me! Loved the flavor & felt good eating it! Goat cheese & produce were incredibly fresh. For salads and sandwiches you can choose from the menu or make your own by selecting ingredients from the deli. They have a bigger choice than regular deli to include things like roast and smoked salmon, chickpeas, beetroot, cherry tomatoes in addition to the usual stuff. You can also choose between a lettuce or pasta base if ordering salad. They also have a nice breakfast and brunch menu, as well as hot mains like noodles, quesadilla, stews and soup. Prices are overall pretty cheap, you can eat here for less than €10. The staff were pretty nice, not much to say there, and the cafe itself was fairly clean with nice seating. However it does get full at lunch time on weekdays since it's near the hospital, but they do take aways as well.
