Has a vegan option! 1, but I took it. Coffee was fine. When you're vegan in Ireland, you'll kind of take any options available!

I loved the outdoor seating that allows you to take in the air, the narrow streetways, the buildings that have stood here for centuries. While we could only do outdoor seating at the time due to the COVID-19 lockdown measures, this turned out to be quite the good fortune. Where we sat was a nice spot to see the various people walking down the street, engage in conversation, all the while enjoying a cafe Americano and some tasty baked goods like brownies and shortbread with chocolate on top. If you know where to walk from the Eyre Square, it's a great find, moderately priced, and very tasty eats. Hopefully, the next time I can have some of the hot dishes they also offer when we return to Galway.

Both were excellent and very filling. The cafe is located just off the busy street and has some some outdoor seating. The window seating is great for people-watching. They have both books and newspapers as decorations/available for reading around the cafe. There's also two small restrooms (men and women, but they're individual rooms anyways). The staff were nice and the place was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The space itself is small and cozy, with just a handful of tables and a private room, which gives it that intimate, tucked‑away feel. I'd 100% go back. They offer two specialty cocktails and a wine list, and while the cocktail selection is limited, the wines are unique and fantastic -- definitely worth exploring. The food was outstanding across the board. The monkfish scampi isn't what you might picture, but it's fantastic -- super crispy and full of flavor. And you have to get the bread: tomato focaccia or brown bread, then topped with the fennel, thyme, and maple butter were all unforgettable. The bavette steak was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were truly out of this world. The sea trout was incredibly fresh; just a heads‑up that the gremolata is spread over the whole dish, so it ends up almost poached in olive oil -- worth noting for anyone sensitive to that, but the flavor itself was excellent. Definitely end the night with the affogato and the shortbread cookies (chef's kiss). Who doesn't like to dunk their dessert? Highly recommend, would absolutely come back.

You can find parking at the QPark structures--there's no street parking. The restaurant was a little full, but not crowded so we got seated right away for a group of 4. Food was superb. They definitely do not mild down the spices--unless maybe they knew we could handle it ahah. Most Thai places level of spice tend to appeal to more..sensitive palettes if you catch my drift. This restaurant did not hold back with their spice, which I didn't mind. The flavor of the food was well balanced. I ordered the tom yum soup with chicken to start off, great tangy, sweet-ish and spicy flavor. Chicken was a little dry but I don't really mind it. I also ordered their lemongrass seasoned beef with rice which came with an over easy egg. Flavor was savory, well seasoned, spicy--balanced out well with the runny egg and rice. My table also ordered fried rice and a curry dish--everything was delicious and memorable. We may have over ordered because we had to do takeaway for the rest. The portion was pretty fair. The next day when I ate my leftovers of the lemongrass beef with the rice--it still was so tasty. 10/10 recommend this place! We didn't get to try their cocktails but they do have an open bar with some unique looking drinks!

We had to wait a couple of minutes for our table then were seated. Prior to coming to Cava Bodega, I had tried some tapas but not much so I wasn't sure what to expect. To start, my friend and I got a glass of wine then ordered food. For dinner, we ordered the anchovies with piquilla pepper, patatas bravas, and paella marinera. I had never tried anchovies so I was admittedly nervous but the dish was sooo good. Patatas bravas is a dish I've tried before but I really liked Cava's version. This was also my first time trying paella and it was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and had a great combination of flavors. For dessert, my friend and I ordered the churros. Can never go wrong with this sugary cinnamon delight and we were definitely happy! Overall, I had a great time at Cava and it was the perfect birthday celebration. If you want to give it a try, definitely go for it!

This two-story restaurant (with dining in the basement) is bustling especially on weekends, so making reservations is recommended to avoid disappointment. Croquetas 6. Churros with chocolate sauce and ice cream We had a lovely dinner here, the vibe was casual and fun, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. They have great, efficient customer service with good price points. If you happen to find yourself tired of bangers and mash or fish and chips, some Spanish tapas are a good recommendation for something different while in Galway, Ireland.

The inside is beautiful - like a converted greenhouse/cottage with stone walls and lots of natural light. One of the first things I noticed was the pastry counter. It was absolutely stunning with gorgeous cakes and other sweet treats available by the slice. The menu is written on a large chalkboard at the far end of the cafe, which can be hard to read depending on where you're seated. I asked for the staff's recommendation and she said I should try the fried fish. It came served with slaw, salad, brown soda bread, beautiful yellow butter and the most perfect fried pieces of cod I think I've ever had. This was not your typical "fish and chips" style fish but instead, was seasoned to perfection with a bit of a crunchier, thicker batter. Wow, it was incredible. I was also so grateful for the side of slaw and salad as I think that was the first leafy green I had had in over a week since arriving in Ireland. The latte I ordered was also delicious and well made. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit - all working together to efficiently service the lunch rush. I would totally come back here next time I'm in Galway. It is highly recommended for good reason so go see for yourself!

For salads and sandwiches you can choose from the menu or make your own by selecting ingredients from the deli. You can also choose between a lettuce or pasta base if ordering salad. They also have a nice breakfast and brunch menu, as well as hot mains like noodles, quesadilla, stews and soup. Prices are overall pretty cheap, you can eat here for less than €10. The staff were pretty nice, not much to say there, and the cafe itself was fairly clean with nice seating. However it does get full at lunch time on weekdays since it's near the hospital, but they do take aways as well.
