But today I took my buddy (who is just learning golf) to this course, and he doesn't have any clubs yet so I let him use mine. Right when we were about to tee off, an old guy smoking a cigarette drove from the clubhouse to me and my friend on the first tee and scolded us about him not having a bag, saying "we clearly told you guys each golfer has to have his own bag, I'm going to let it go this time" in a very rude tone. Then he told us to keep the pace of play. I've been golfing for years, even with friends who don't have their own clubs, and me and my friends have never been scolded before for one of us not having a bag. Me and my friend were teeing off and he proceeded to hover around us on the tee, and we felt like we were being watched. Me and my friend got to the green on the first hole, and my friend accidentally pushed my push cart onto the green. Simple mistake from a first time golfer but not something anyone typically bats an eye to. But of course the same old man drove to us all the way from the clubhouse AGAIN, and when I noticed this I proceeded to move the cart off the green. Then the old man scolds us for the cart being on the green and lectures us about it not being "golf etiquette", and then he lectured us again how we need to keep up the pace of play even though we weren't going slow. I told him that my friend was a first time golfer and that he's still learning the game. Then he yells at me "TEACH HIM". Then these young 12 year old kids, probably from Hinsdale, were on our asses the whole round, making me and my friend feeling like we're in a rush. Later in the round we noticed they were actually hitting the ball when we were still on the green, even though this was clearly a par 3 course. That old guy didn't bat an eye. This is usually a great course to go to and I will be coming back, and it's usually good for beginners. BUT this is the worst course you can take a beginner golfer to IF that old guy is working that day. This was the worst customer service I've ever had at a golf course.

Next after they didn't accept my amex card I didn't have any cash because most of every golf course in Illinois accept all forms of payment. Also I prepaid on the website and had a notifation on my card that i paid and yet I still had to pay at the course again. Then my friends mom came in the shop to help us pay for the round, remember this I gave the young guy at the register $5 to help pay for the round and she was going to pay $20 and me $5 the guy said I never gave him 5 dollars and continued to argue about the situation until I gave him ANOTHER $5. Workers are ignorant young brats and I'm the young worker pocketed my $5. Never coming back

The cart paths need to be resurfaced but hardly a big problem. We were surprised that there is not a bar that's open other than the halfway house. Since it was 93 degrees when we played we needed A/C after the round. We grabbed a beer in the pro shop (very cold) and sat on lobby furniture for our 19th hole. If management would make a few adjustments this could be a very good experience. So close to getting one of my regular weekly rounds. Let's go guys! Get some sand and set up a sports bar! You have the facilities. Build it and they will come!!

We paid $72 each for a 4:00 PM tee time and arrived to find there were no carts available and a delay in getting on the course. We were told we could use the driving range while waiting, but there were no range balls available either. Once we finally got a cart, there was no starter, no ranger, and no apparent management of pace of play. A group of 6-7 golfers was holding up the first hole, and despite calling the pro shop, nothing was done. To add to the chaos, there were also kids fishing in areas of the course near the fairways. The bunkers were extremely below expectations, and the overall operation felt disorganized from start to finish. There was also a wedding taking place near parts of the course, though due to the delayed start and slow pace of play, we never made it far enough to see how much it impacted play. For a course that regularly charges over $100 during peak times, the experience simply did not justify the cost. Save your money and consider one of the many better-run courses in the area.

Relative to its competitors, it is more family friendly, gender neutral, and diverse. The cost to join is steep. There is no clubhouse yet, but the club keeps growing and adding amenities. The pool and pool house (used as a temporary clubhouse) are first class, the tennis and platform tennis facilities are all new, but the course (and the opportunity to join an all new club where the culture is still developing) is the big draw. This year one of the participants contacted me a week after the outing and said he left something behind in the cart. Assuming he left his favorite golf ball, his dentures, his wallet or all three, he said no, even worse than that, it was his Wingman (worth $150) Ouch! I said forgetaboutit. It had to be now, just a memory. Much to our surprise they retrieved it and was in their lost and found. WOW! Bob was the staff member who is know known as America's last honest man who made an old golfer very happy. Play there, you won't be disappointed.

They work really well with all the different non-profits as well as the Chamber. The Nest is a great restaurant located downstairs and the event space is located upstairs, accessible through the other side of the golf course. The food is delicious considering it's banquet food and I feel like I always end up getting something different even though I've attended so many events and functions here. I appreciate the chefs constantly making sure that the menu is refreshed and it's not redundant. The staff here is great and the venue is clean. I am grateful to have the Golf club in town!

There was a tent with security but no one stopped us or checked our tickets or anything. Once we made it to the VIP area, everything was easy to navigate and the sound from the stage was awesome. The concert itself was great. A few of the booths closed earlier than expected, which was a bit of a bummer, but overall, as a concert venue, it was a pretty solid experience. Was cool that they showed the tourney on the stage screen before the music act went live.

Family enjoyed the batting cages even in the 85 degree heat the icee and water bottles helped a ton. Of course wifey won golf but the boys crushed me in the cages!
