Fantastic and scenic course in immaculate condition. It's a diamond in the rough. My only issue was the sand traps. They need to bring in truckloads of good sand to fill their traps. It's like hitting out of cement and it wouldn't cost a lot to fill them in with good sand, at least the ones that are near the greens. It's impossible to get your wedge under the sand. read more

I grew up in hinsdale and currently live in the city and this is a nice course to come to if you're local. However, my last two experiences here have been very frustrating. Yesterday me and a buddy decided to play a round at 2:45 and it was just the two of us in the group. It took 4 hours and 45 minutes for a two sum! The course is nice, not super long, but I paid $75 for probably the longest round of golf I've played in a while. We were waiting about 10 minutes per shot. Not just waiting on the tee box but every single shot we waited about 10 minutes and every tee was backed up 2-3 groups. Idk if they need to throw a ranger out there to tell people to pick up the pace or spread out their tee times but it was horrendous. I was talking to a couple of my friends as well and they said they only go super early in the morning because if you go at the wrong time then you're screwed. A two sum should only take about 3 and a half hours to play. Especially with us when my buddy shoots low 80's and I shoot high 80's. It was ridiculous. read more

I attended the Fourth of July fireworks event with my parents and it was amazing! We were seated in adirondack chairs on the first hole and the course was beautiful! Would love to play it sometime! The fireworks were beautiful!! Great place to see the display. Also, the band, Sixteen Candles, was awesome! They were pretty talented and had a good repertoire of hits and oldies for people to sing and dance along to. They played a variety of patriotic songs during the fireworks display which was really nice. The staff was super friendly--my mom was on crutches and a nice young man working at the club cruised up in a golf cart to offer her a ride. Thank you Noah L.!!! read more

I just moved to Chicago from the DC area. Trying to find a 2nd home local course, so I've tried Harborside and Willow Crest. Willow Crest has SO MUCH POTENTIAL! I'm ok with no GPS on golf carts... your phone can pull that up. The electric carts were fine. The course is actually lovely. The bunkers are tragic. NOT resort-worthy. The pace of play was "slow-ish" today, but 2.5 hours for a single? Nope. Not good enough. The pro shop is nice and the staff are nice. The fairways and greens are great. Hilton needs to amp this up a bit. I look forward to playing Willow Crest more, but NO WAY on the weekend. If a Monday is slow, I can't imagine the Death March a weekend would be. read more

Play at your own risk- you will be sued. The club has let protective netting fall into disrepair leading onto a major thoroughfare and a residential area. Balls regularly go through gaps in the netting and hit cars as well houses. The player is liable if damage is done to house or a passing car (a regular occurrence) or children are hit and harmed. The club is in disrepair and the player will pay the price. There are a dozen clubs in the area-- go to a different one. read more

Beautiful pristine course. Long holes. Tough greens but the front nine is pretty easy peasy. Unfortunately we got rained out but the people at the Pro Shop were nice enough to give us a free 18 holes for our inconvenience. That was very gracious of them and unnecessary but we'll take it. Went there for a work outing on a Thursday. Course is nice and varied. It is on the easier side. I went low and it was my first time out. 5 rounds later and it's still my low round. Usually means the course if forgiving. Pulled a Dustin Johnson on 18 which cost me an 80. Stayed for dinner at around 8PM. Place looked closed. 15 minutes later, the bar was packed. Surprised that the menu was varied. Decent beer selection. read more

Played here twice and had a good experience both times. The club house and starters are always nice and friendly. The greens and fairways are in great shape and the overall course is challenging in a fun way. I would have gave it 5 stars but there is no driving range. Only a netted area to hit into. read more

Willow Crest Golf Club - 18th hole - Golf Near Me - Oak Brook, Illinois

My foursome participated in a wonderful golf outing benefitting breast cancer awareness. This course is in great shape. It is challenging with long holes but without the pesty water hazards that seem to pause my game. The staff and rangers were very nice and welcoming. They directed us to the correct spot for registration and swag. I am looking forward to going back and playing and I also speak for the 3 other ladies I was with. This course is priced way below its value for 18 holes. I'm looking forward to next season. read more

I've probably played here five times. The course itself is a mixed bag, with mostly good conditions and some memorable holes, but some rough spots and some holes that are crammed in tight and ugly. I would give it another star but I had a bad service experience the last time I played and although they sent me a bunch of emails asking for feedback they never took the time to respond when I gave them that feedback. Boo. The best thing about this course is that it sees so little traffic.... Something to do with it being a resort course in a town that isn't known for its resorts (this is Oak Brook, not Myrtle Beach) so if you are looking for a last minute public course tee time and don't want to call around, you can get on here. If I get back there I'll compare service and bump my rating up if it has improved. read more

If you pay $80.00 for 18 it better be fantastic. Guess what? It is. Stunning, manicured, well kept. Lovely clubhouse and the drink girl was nice. I drag all my friends here!
