I have read through a lot of the negative reviews and my experience was totally different. The staff was friendly from the cart guys, to the clubhouse, to the starter. We actually could have used a ranger to push the group ahead as it got a bit slow, but considering it was Fourth of July, the pace of play was more than acceptable. Some places pack the courses and you quickly end up with 5+ hour rounds on holidays. Osprey Point has been here more than a decade now, and they still offer well manicured tracks at very affordable rates. Largely natural areas, it is nice to play a course that is not lined with condos and houses. I believe that is one of the reasons that Osprey Point is consistently ranked in the top 50 public courses in Florida. Now to think you can play here for under $40 during peak times and less than $30 for twilight and it is a steal! This is definitely one of my favorite places to knock it around. For the holiday, they replaced all of the green flags with American flags. I really liked that they had little stands on every green so that you could keep the flag from touching the ground. Osprey Point was a great golf course. Fairways and greens were all in beautiful playing condition. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They asked if it was our first time golfing at the course and ensured we knew where we were going. Facilities were clean and well kept. Overall, this was a perfect course at a fair price. I had an amazing time at this golf course with the hubby. I have to admit I really wasn't at all excited about the idea of golfing but he really really wanted me to go with him. We both had a blast! You can't beat the setting with the literal Everglades on one side and a lake with jet skis and boats on the other. To have a sunset to boot makes it just a wow moment. We only had one person behind us and we let him go ahead so we could take our sweet time. We spent 2 hours enjoying our time on a 9 hole course, playing for the sake of it and I'm happy to report that after 5 lost balls on my end, I figured out that my strong point is the 3 iron and I did good after that. Cost was about 85 for the 2 of us with our own golf clubs but we did purchase tees and golf balls. It would have been 55 or so for 2 otherwise which is acceptable. It comes with a golf cart which is so fun to drive and ride around in! There wasn't any other women when I went but that's completely ok. I proudly wore my neon pink pants and shoes and no one cared or rolled their eyes lol. It wouldn't have mattered anyway ;) There's definitely some serious golfers out there but if you do ya thing and let them do their thing, it's all good. read more

Beautiful course, beautiful layout, beautiful conditions, miserable staff. Unwelcoming from the second you pull up to bag drop. Took roughly 15 minutes to check-in 2 tee times at the pro shop, then you get welcomed with pissy starters telling you to speed up your pace of play before the round starts. Enjoyed every bit of the course once away from the clubhouse. Would love to come back and play the course once again, but will be waiting for younger and more friendly staff to come on board. read more

Great course in a beautiful setting. I've read the complaints and yes it's difficult to get a tee time in season - there aren't a lot of great public courses in the area. But ... it's fun, beautiful, no houses and every hole plays like it is its own golf course - not a lot of opps to split fairways. If you keep your eyes open you'll see some wildlife (cranes, herons, gators, snakes, and I've even seen a bobcat). So take a breath if you come here and focus on the right things - great fun golf in a beautiful environment. read more

My favorite course in South Florida! 27 holes so every time you play you get a "different" course depending on which two 9 holes they pair you with. Hole designs are great, course is in pristine shape, and the scenery is unlike anything around here. I have played all of Trumps courses in Doral for the insane price of up to $500/round and would much prefer Osprey over any of those courses. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

Amazing golf course, played hawk and raven while in town. Honestly can't believe it was only $31, this is definitely on par with most $100 courses in terms of conditions and greens. Osprey Point Golf Course is a public golf course in Boca Raton, Florida. They have 27 holes spread out in three nine-hole courses. The fairways were in good condition along with the greens for a public course. The greens were a bit confusing to read since they seemed to have sand within the grass. Overall the golf course has its challenges and we found it to be scenic. There weren't many fairway traps, but I believe that is because it's easier for them to maintain the golf course. We paid $70.00 per person for 18 holes during season which I still find expensive for a public course that plays five hours or more during season read more

If you play Public/Muni golf, this is the best game in town, 50 miles in any direction, and has been for years. 1) the staff, from check-in, starter, rangers, etc. are courteous, knowledgeable and helpful; 2) the restaurant is clean, service great, and the food is good and fairly priced; 3) the course conditioning is very good, but slipping a little in spots, and the greens are full of pitch marks; overall, conditions are slipping rather than improving. 4) It's nearly always a quick round, four hours or less, owing mostly to the fact that the fairways are 100-150 yards wide! 5) The course is flat and great for walkers, but COVID-inspired pricing is out of hand. $59 to walk is opportunistic at best, predatory at worst. (weekdays before 8am is $49; why not on weekends? Are they trying to put it to the working guys?) read more

This golf course has a beautiful layout hands down. That said, the price to play this course is premium. And as such any traveled golfer would expect amenities associated with the price. The cons: the carts DONOT HAVE A GPS. So if you are not familiar with all three 9 hole tracts, it's a problem. Some greens had recently been sanded. Therefore a little rough. Areas of the fairways needed some repair and overseeding. The pros: The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The greens and landscape is beautiful. All in, I'd love to play it many more times. Nice course, but very poor customer service treatment. A friend and I decided to play here on the weekday. It had rained earlier, so the course was pretty empty, and we booked our tee time for early afternoon. The staff here really needs to get a lesson in hospitality, or at the very least get an attitude check. I just cannot say enough poor things about the service from the staff here. We got to the course a little early, and when we went to check in, the guy at the front was borderline yelling at us for showing up a early. It seemed he was upset we were there to give him business. To kill some time we went to the range, where a similar story played out. The guy who we gave our stubs to to get the range balls was very flustered that we were even there. Finally we got to get our golf cart to get on the links. When we drove the golf cart to our car in order to pickup our clubs and then a worker started yelling at us that we weren't allowed to drive the cart to our car. Fast forwarding, we got on the course, and even though their was almost nobody on it, the workers were pretty much on top of us the entire time. From start to finish, I felt the staff was terrible in every single way possible. Very unhelpful, not happy to be there and just plain rude. The only reason Osprey gets two-stars (and not even lower because of the horrendous service), is that the place was very nice. Not too many sand traps, and it seemed well maintained, even though it rained earlier. Greens were cut well, and the price you pay is good for a nice game of golf. I'm a pretty amateur player, but I could tell that it was a good course for the price. If Osprey gets a nicer staff that has manners, I'd consider coming back, but until then they have completely lost my business. read more

Beautiful and well maintained, I find it hard to believe that this is a public course. There are three 9 hole courses, with rolling hills; some nice long over 500 yard holes; and generally nice wide courses, this is now my "go to" golf course. What seals it is the price, that even during peak, is only $35, and less if you have a frequent player card. Price includes cart. The pace of the course is pretty good, and the rangers do a good job of limiting wait times. Also, since, there are three courses to play from, it allows you to mix it up so that you are not always playing the same course configuration. Reservations are a must,especially during the weekends. There is also a driving range and small putting green, so you can can practice your long and short game before hitting the lynx. read more

My favorite place to play. A public course with a private course feel. Fairways and greens are always in tip top shape. Course is a little short but challenging. Incredible value for the quality of play. There are three 9 hole courses which all three are par 36's. This allows for a variety of play.... not always playing the same 18 holes. This would be a 5 Star review except for two small issues. (1) It's very crowded and often times the pace of play is slow. Could use some marshals to keep pace. (2) The bugs in the evening are ruthless. Nothing like waiting to put for par only to get bit by a giant horsefly or have a dragonfly buzz your head. Don't play here if you are women!! We showed up with two groups of females. All of us have played for a while and are decent. We finished the front nine in two hours but we were told that we were being too slow. I asked why nine holes in two hours was slow. The response I got was, "because the group in front of you finished in an hour and 53 minutes and you needed to keep up with them." For the record, the group in front of us had already finished the first hole before the starter had called us to the tee box. On the back nine we were repeatedly harassed by the course marshall who told us we were going to slow. He repeatedly called the starter to relay selective things that I had responded about. They lied about our pace of play. We were then told that we had been playing the back nine for two hours and twenty minutes, but we had only been playing for an hour and a half on and had only two holes left to play. We continued to be harassed for the rest of the game . We finished the entire 18 holes in exactly four hours. Ladies don't play here. I really don't think this review will matter as this course doesn't really want women to play here. Which is a shame because the course is fun and semi challenging. I think that if we had men in our group we would not of been harassed the way that we were harassed. I also believe that we would've finished earlier if the Marshalls would've left us alone and not harassed us, stared at us and followed us. read more

Given the number of golf courses available in Florida..I would not recommend you waste your time at this one. To begin with, they reserved our tee time under the wrong spelling and wrong time (off by 2 hours which makes no sense, how did they get that?). When we called they couldn't find us but eventually figured out the error. Then we arrive and the ball machine is down. We wait for 20 min with a growing line of frustrated golfers while people tinker with the machine. Then after 20 min someone finally realized you could automatically release the balls. Not sure why they didn't think of that 20 min prior. The woman working on the machine didn't know how to manually release it so then someone else had to dawdle over and fix it. This killed out warm up time. Then, because of their error they were running behind and rushing everyone along including us. We got rushed to the wrong golf course. Then told to go back to the waiting area even though our name was called...then told to just go ahead and go. So down the wrong course we went. The staff was very pushy and rushing us along. It wasn't enjoyable. We got scolded for a member of the team hitting two balls from a tee. We did this on one hole one time and you would've thought we drove a tank through the course destroying it. Now, unrelated to all of this my husband rented clubs and the man working at the desk was shockingly rude. He acted like we were criminals trespassing on the course for asking to rent clubs. He was suspicious that I didn't need to rent clubs (I brought mine!) and insisted that EVERY GOLFER NEEDS THEIR OWN CLUBS. Which is perfectly reasonable, but it was just strange and accusatory. He seemed very wary to let us pay for clubs and it was a strange experience all around. For what it's worth, when we returned the clubs the new gentleman was nice, but overall the staff is rude. I would say this is not worth the time or money and take your golf clubs and your business elsewhere. read more

I even see rangers fill in divots that some players don't fill. The bag drop volunteers are friendly and helpful in informing me of condition of play. The best public course ever! 27 holes allows for one 9-hole course to be closed for aeration & maintenance in the summer. They also fill-in most divots nightly so the fairways are almost spotless. Well worth the $5-$10 more to play compared to other public courses in the area which is why it is so difficult to get a morning tee time. read more

I don't play golf, but I came to this course with some of my friends and our boyfriends a few days ago. When my female friend and I left to go to the bathroom without our boyfriends, we were not only gawked at, but overtly sexually harassed by a few of the male employees, standing by the golf carts. I took pictures of the main predator, but unfortunately did not get his name. He asked to "come see my belly button piercing up close", blew kisses at me, & made other sexual comments on my behalf, while nudging his coworkers and laughing. He clearly knew how uncomfortable I was. I asked him multiple times to stop and proceeded to walk away. He, of course, denied it when my boyfriend and friends confronted him, but I had numerous witnesses there to corroborate my story. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A FEMALE OR SOMEONE WHO DOESNT SUPPORT SEXUAL MISCONDUCT. disgusting to say the least. It made me feel terrible and ruined my day.
