This course is rated by many as the best Par 3 Course in the Country (Augusta's Par 3 course is 9 holes btw)... and whenever I meet anyone who's been here they rave. This is because it's such a nice course, it's along the Intercoastal and the Ocean, the condition is great, and the people here are so nice. Oh yeah, the restaurant is excellent too! Such a treat to play here. This public course is only made possible by the fact that wealthy businessman Michael Phipps (his grandfather was Henry Phipps, a partner of Andrew Carnegie in US Steel) owned all the property (and a lot more) and built it for his own personal use in 1961. It was privately owned until 1973, when Phipps sold it to the Town of Palm Beach for only $5 million. The course was renovated and redesigned in 2009 by Hall of Fame golfer Raymond Floyd, making it the great course it is today. Tee times can be booked online. Also, they have an excellent driving range and putting green. Make sure you include a meal. So great sitting on the deck which overlooks the ocean. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read more

Beautiful course in immaculate condition. Fun to play, can walk or ride. Takes about 2.5 hours to play. Starter was very helpful. After our round we went up to the Al Fresco restaurant on the second floor of the clubhouse and enjoyed lobster rolls outside on the deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Note, if you are not playing early, you will need to valet park. read more

This little course is a real treat! Price point is a little high to play all the time. I was visiting so I'm not sure if the local rate is better. However this is a really fun little course and it's beautiful. It is definitely worth giving a try. Great track by the ocean. Not challenging since it's a par 3, however, but a must to play.

Called the Pro shop to book tee times for my husband as a surprise. Staff are friendly over the phone and in person. They got our group started right away upon arrival. The course is absolutely immaculate and the views are astonishing. I can't think of a better place to hit the greens on a summer morning. When you're done golfing no need to drive anywhere to replenish your energy. Just head back to the clubhouse to the restaurant Al fresco which is located upstairs for amazing food and libations. read more

The Par 3 course in Palm Beach might sit on prime oceanfront real estate, but the staff acts like they're guarding the gates of Augusta--and failing miserably at it. I called ahead to ask about playing the back nine (because who wouldn't want to play the ocean side when only playing 9 holes?) and was met with one of the most condescending responses I've ever received: "Who told you you could play the back nine?" Excuse me? If it's that popular, charge more and stop acting like it's a secret society. We did end up playing the back, but the unpleasantness didn't stop there. When we finished, an employee actually shoved my friend aside--physically--to get to the rented clubs. I was literally doing THEIR job by emptying trash from the cart and making sure none of my personal clubs got mixed in, and this guy just grabbed my 3-wood out of my bag and claimed it was his. It wasn't. No apology, no professionalism--just pure arrogance. You work at a public golf course... relax. The course is gorgeous, but the staff is rude, entitled, and clearly untrained in basic hospitality. If they spent half as much effort on customer service as they do guarding the back nine, this place might be worth the greens fee. Until then, I'd skip it. I'll give one star for the view. read more

This was my first time on a golf course solo. Chose this place as it is rated as one of the best Par 3 courses in the country. I had a twilight Tee Time at 4:50 and completed 9 holes by 6ish. It was a cool course w the longest hole being 211 (est) yds. They have a driving range but a class was going on so I couldn't warm up. Traffic getting there from West Palm was crazy but may be holiday related as it's the Wednesday after Christmas. But the drive was scenic never saw so many multi-million dollar homes and luxury cars at a time. The clubhouse was nice and the pro shop where you pay for your time, cart, etc was easy to get to and the service was friendly. I was given resident price due to being a veteran!! Everything was smooth Finn getting my cart returning it. The courses were not too tough even for a beginner and the scenery was great. After the 2nd and 8th tee you have to cross a very buy street which is an adventure. We didn't see much wildlife aside from a few birds as I was hoping to see a gator. Good first experience yet I don't have anything really to compare it to. I learned I like Par 3 course but as I get better I could imagine I would shy away from them. read more

Location scores big for delicate view of ocean and par three golf course. Outside or inside upstairs dining with generous Italian menu. Very attentive staff. Food ok. Both times we have been were enjoyable if food wise ok. More of a upmarket guest spectical rather than anything else. Been twice so that says something. Both times invited by someone else which tells you more. So go if invited or curious but otherwise go somewhere else. Both my visits went well. The only downside being close to the beach we had rain come in one time requiring swift application of blinds and the second on full moon night, the blinds were down to stop strong wind which caused said blind to drum best all meal. So final advice check weather for wind or rain. I can guarantee no snow. read more

Warning: this course is NOT for the novice player. Even on weekdays, it is busy with experienced golfers that will have little patience for slow play -- and I use the term "slow" very broadly. A single chunked tee-off, out of nerves or inexperience for example, will be enough to make them fret. If that's you and your party, then I highly recommend first building your chops elsewhere, or at bare minimum getting in a solid warmup on their excellent driving range; if you choose to book, block lots of time so you can let others though generously. The establishment itself, on the other hand, is superb and worth the price, offering club and single-rider cart rentals, a decent pro shop, and friendly, encouraging staff (shoutout to Bob in particular). I'll be back ... a few thousand solid drives later, that is! ;) read more

This golf course is stunning! Beautiful views all around. The restaurant staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant. The food was delicious. I went out on a limb and tried something I never would have though to put together (pecan and apple pizza) and it was totally amazing!! Food is consistently good. View of ocean even better. Service tries heard as well. This is a model for every public course. It is the only public course I have been to that has valet parking. Sometimes park is a problem but they'll have you park along the street. Golf carts are in great condition. We visited twice during our stay in Palm Beach. The first visit we just sat & enjoyed some rosé while there was a small tournament taking place. It was a thursday around 3pm and we were able to be seated right away. Virginia was our waitress and she was awesome. The second visit was on a Saturday for lunch & we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. We were able to get a drink from the bar and wait downstairs outside which made the time go by fast. We ordered the pepperoni pizza & some more rosé & sat outside. We definitely recommend sitting outside because the view is beautiful & it's fun to people watch anyone playing on the course. This is a beautiful course and it's very very easy to walk and have a wonderful round right along the ocean on Palm Beach Island. They also carry some of the best beef jerky I've ever had in my entire life. I could not recommend the Jerky anymore although I have forgotten the name of the brand. read more

Has to be one of the most beautiful par 3 golf courses anywhere. It's south of Palm Beach between the ocean beach on one side and intracoastal waterway on the other. Plenty of opportunities to get your ball wet! Play 9 for a quick round or 18 to get the ocean side holes. Nice spot for lunch after too read more

The fairways and greens are in good shape. The views were absolutely outstanding. You can see the ocean for at least 8 holes. The pace of play is excellent and can play the 18 holes in under 3 hours. The carts were also in good shape. The staff were courteous and helpful but not pushy. Look, everyone comes here for the experience and view - not a super-challenging course. I'm not one to play par three golf courses, but this one is a real gem for all levels of golfers! In perfect condition, with all holes having some type of water view. On the front side many holes go along the intracoastal and the backside, some spectacular ocean front holes. Full service club house and driving range. After golf a beautiful upstairs dinning room with indoor out door dining. Some great water views. The food is very good from burgers, sandwiches to full selection of good Italian entrees.
