I do not recommend SJ Fence LLC. Poor quality and difficult to get help with issues. Purchased an…read morealuminum fence to surround swim spa. The fence gate required a locking latch to meet pool standard in my community. The gate latch is poor quality, --the latch will not open, or it sticks closed (requires oiling monthly, as well as constant adjustment to the latch). Discussed this with Dan on several occasions by phone or text (since installation in 1/2025). He inspected the latch during a visit and said it would be replaced. In addition, the installers cut the sprinkler system line in two places (the cuts in the line are obvious). Dan was told about the existence of the sprinkler system at time of purchase (installation team reminded as well). Two attached photos show cut in line adjacent to concrete (by shovel?), as well as cut in line where line sits atop of corner of concrete (zoom in on the photo). When I brought the gate latch to Dan's attention by text and voicemail (again earlier this week), he said no one told him the gate latch wasn't replaced. He said someone would drop by and repair/replace the gate latch, and he would repair the sprinkler line. I'm not sure why he expected me to remind him again about the gate latch (how many conversations does it take to get it done?). I declined to have him fix the sprinkler line as I already did the job myself (hopefully it doesn't continue to leak), and I didn't want to get into another back and forth with him about completing the work (as I experienced since 1/2025 about the gate latch).

The previous contractor left…read morebehind a trail of chaos -- crooked crown molding that looked like it was hung during happy hour at a taco stand, wavy walls with more dips than a salsa bar. The floors were so off level it felt like walking on the deck of a sinking ship. Every day I walked in, I half expected someone to hand me a margarita and say, "Welcome to Cantina Catastrophe." I was devastated and ready to give up on my dream renovation and give my wife her dream kitchen. Then she walked in, Gianna the Great! (the nickname my family has named this miracle of a woman) From the moment this remarkable woman stepped through the door, I could tell everything was about to change. Calm, confident, and unflinchingly honest (too honest at times but made us laugh when we were ready to cry), she didn't flinch at the disaster she inherited -- she rolled up her sleeves and went to work. With precision and artistry, she straightened what others ruined, leveled what was warped, and brought beauty and symmetry back to a renovation I had almost written off. Every detail mattered to her, I have learned that is beyond hard to find these days! Every corner was checked, every uneven surface corrected. She didn't just fix a disaster -- she restored my faith in good, honest craftsmanship. Watching a female contractor command the job site with such authority and grace was inspiring. She turned what had been a nightmare into a masterpiece. Trust me I know I am not an easy character and we may not have seen eye to eye in every situation, but I hope she knows how deeply my family and I appreciate her. Despite the challenges, her dedication, strength, and authenticity have left a lasting mark on all of us. What started as a working relationship became something much more meaningful -- she has become part of our story, a family member! We're truly grateful for everything she's done and for the heart she's shared along the way. If you ever find yourself staring at a contractor's mess and wondering if it can be salvaged -- call Gianna from Konstructit. She's not just a builder; she's a rescuer. She's the antidote to every half-baked Taco that ever picked up a hammer. Let's just say my previous contractor belonged on a restaurant menu, not a business license!
