The medication lasted 9 days after which the pain started to return. I called them on day 13 to have them renew my prescription or get me another that would eliminate my pain. I was told that their policy was they would only prescribe a new medication within 9 days of being seen and I would have to come back and pay another $179 to address my issue. My prescription didn't run out until 9 days passed! They also said my NP who prescribed my medication was off that day and and another attending would not write a script without seeing me first for another $179. What... I guess the other attending couldn't read my file, or even make a phone call to the NP??? This place is nothing but a money grab, forget being cared for like they care about you, it's all about the money!!!!!

He was very thorough and efficient and listened to what I had to say and answered my many questions. He even has a good sense of humor, which is rare for doctors. My husband located this urgent care center that was actually open until 9pm and was near 86th and Michigan Rd. We ran over. It is a small place on the north side of 86th St. Very clean and accommodating. Dr. Khan was patient and very thorough. He told us exactly what we had (strep) and why we had it. He explained what medication he was prescribing and why. He told us where to go to fill the prescription and said that if we were going to go directly to the pharmacy he would wait (past his 9pm closing time) to make sure that the pharmacy didn't need to call him because of the narcotics prescription (Tylenol with codeine). He said they would bill our insurance and on our way we went. He was maybe the best urgent care doc either of us has ever seen. Dr. Khan told us that he used to work at the urgent care in Nora but he left and opened up this place on his own. Looks like he has a second location on W. 10th St. as well. The office was closed on a Sunday night, but they actually took us in to see our daughter who was suffering from body aches, ear aches, coughing etc. The staff was very good, very nice. Physician was excellent. Very thorough and detailed at explaining everything that was going on. You could tell he is not a "cookie cutter" or "cookbook doctor" where I feel they don't think analytically but look up a typical cookbook recipe to fix the problems. You can tell the Doctor has extensive experience and his approach is individualized. My daughter who really liked the doctor and was very happy being there. Rare for a child to like doctors office. I am so grateful that they would help us even though they were closed, lights off. Grateful for Physician for his prescribed plan of treatment. Thinking about switching my personal physician to him.

Someone (a nurse?) got all my basic health info and then I was seen by a physician assistant. While the receptionist and nurse seemed bored, the PA was super friendly. She cleaned me up and got me a prescription in no time. This location is newly built, nice and clean, and the PA told me they are generally never backed up, so it will definitely be my go to (hopefully I won't be back though!). After having visited a different urgent care type setting a week earlier, I wasn't particularly…read morethrilled when my primary care physician wasn't available for a timely appointment and instead referred me to this setting, Franciscan Express Care. However, given my growing concern over some dehydration issues and an ongoing issue with my leg, I opted to go ahead and give Franciscan Express Care a chance. Located in the CityWay area of near downtown Indy, Franciscan Express Care is located across the street from my primary care physician but is situated somewhat better in that it has free parking and a pretty easily accessible building. The parking lot is smaller than expected, though it's fairly workable and does have accessible parking spots (though there's a slight grade to them). This same building offers urgent care, wellness programs, sports physicals, drug testing, occupational health, lab, and x-ray services. It's open from 7 am-11 pm daily, a definite plus in the world of urgent care. Because I am an active primary care patient of Franciscan, my registration process was fairly simple. I registered within a few minutes - the staff was friendly, though they were on the phone with a supervisor upon my arrival. They did apologize when they got off the phone. There was an electronic board that essentially told you where you were at in terms of waiting (without violating HIPAA). That was helpful and decreased the "I'm waiting" anxiety. Truthfully, the wait was rather short and I was taken back to do the usual pre-check followed by a visit with the physician's assistant. I believe here name was Sarah Thill, though I may be wrong. Regardless, she was incredibly compassionate, a great listener, asked good questions and expressed concerns that perhaps I should consider going to the ER. She opted to offer me an antibiotic with the recommendation that if I wasn't showing signs of improvement soon that I should go ahead and go to the ER for further evaluation. I was incredibly happy with her presence and the thoroughness of her evaluation that definitely went beyond the usual urgent care exam. I was easily in and out within an hour and my prescription was ready for me by the time I arrived at my pharmacy closer to my home. As things would pan out, a few days later I did end up being seen in the ER and admitted to the hospital for several days. So, essentially, the urgent care here really did their job and made a solid recommendation that ended up being 100% correct. I found the setting to be comfortable and the exam rooms to be more wheelchair-friendly than most urgent care settings I've been to in the past. While one never quite knows what to expect from urgent care given the different clinicians one may experience, my visit here was definitely positive and I would easily return should the need arise in the future. While I still prefer my primary care physician, this is a great alternative. As a matter of note, while I wasn't required to pay upfront because of my insurance my final bill ended up being just over $90 - a good 10-15% lower than most IU Health urgent care settings.

It is required of me to receive these vaccines and it is something that should be common knowledge for anyone working in a hospital--regardless of whether you're a nurse or not. After I asked my question, whoever was working reception had zero idea what I was asking for, which is fairly alarming considering rabies is one of the most lethal viruses we have. She asked me if I was a current patient, I said no I don't have insurance. This was when she really stopped helping me. I understand prices are high, but they're going to be high regardless because of what I'm asking for. She told me to ask my school what do, to which I told her they told me to contact hospitals because they are all equipped to give these vaccines. She just kept saying she doesn't know what I was asking for and that she can't help. She then directed me to Jane Pauley, who is closed on weekends. I understand not being versed in everything that happens in a hospital, but not knowing what a pre-exposure vaccine is, and being unwilling in helping access that, is a terrible look for any healthcare facility. Please educate your staff on basic healthcare and train them to not just push people off the phone.

Booked first appt after birth with ease. Every step of the way after that has been difficult & unprofessional. They never answer the phones. I'm not being dramatic, not once in eight months have I been able to get anyone on the phone. They advise to book within the portal. ANYTIME I submit a request, it's a delayed response. 8 days ago, I called, no answer. Sent a portal message explaining it was an urgent medical matter that I felt she needed seen for that day. The contacted me back today, 8 days later. I 10/10 do not recommend. If you prefer a more holistic approach with peds that don't push vaccinations, there are other much better offices than this.
