I was told that once the tech was called, she had an hour to report in so it may be a wait. From about 8pm when I was moved to the ER side (apparently required due to needing an ultrasound), I was left in the room and would leave to go out in the hallway and check in with nurses to find out when I would be seen or any updates on the tech arriving. I did this about every half hour since I had been previously told she had an hour to report in. The tech finally saw me at 12am. During the ultrasound, she had constant phone notifications sounding off and distracting her from the procedure. At one point, she had me (the patient) hold the transvaginal probe inside of my body so that she could respond to her phone. I was already quite distressed due to the nature of going through a miscarriage, and this made it much worse. The cherry on top was the bill I received. $3400 (after insurance claims). $2000 of this portion was just due to having to check into the ER (to not be seen whatsoever) but just to have the ultrasound in that ER room. Just beware before coming here. The doctors and nurses are kind, but "on call" does not mean much to the techs. Also, beware that you will end up paying thousands if you step foot into their ER (even if no testing or care is done via ER services).

Booked first appt after birth with ease. Every step of the way after that has been difficult & unprofessional. They never answer the phones. I'm not being dramatic, not once in eight months have I been able to get anyone on the phone. They advise to book within the portal. ANYTIME I submit a request, it's a delayed response. 8 days ago, I called, no answer. Sent a portal message explaining it was an urgent medical matter that I felt she needed seen for that day. The contacted me back today, 8 days later. I 10/10 do not recommend. If you prefer a more holistic approach with peds that don't push vaccinations, there are other much better offices than this.

Wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend......but The only reason I give this one star is due to one person, Misty who is in charge of FMLA paperwork. This particular FMLA that my employer required was not something she was familiar with. The form was filled out incorrectly multiple times. Multiple messages, calls and emails were left to no avail. Finally reached her colleague, who then filled it out by herself within 2 hours, because she left early. Must recently I asked for a return to work form. Misty once again did not respond to multiple emails. One box needed to be marked that I have no restrictions and can return with a date became another mountain. Like before she never once called me back and after multiple calls had to explain to her coworker that by not filling out this paperwork, I could lose my job. The one and only email she finally replies, with we will not extend your leave. I never asked her to extend my time off. Again multiple calls, to wherein which her colleague said, she may or may not get back to you right away but we'll backlog the date and make sure it's done. In the end she submitted a fax with incorrect info and incorrect location. The experience was wonderful but turned sour due to the inability to fill 2 pieces of paper. Emergency surgery is not easy and to almost beg for a correctly filled paper is extremely exhausting. I won't be asking again as it appears it won't ever be filled out correctly. My experience was like a lavishly decorated cupcake with a little poop on top.

Luckily, you will find both at Naab Road Surgical Center. I was not a patient at the surgical center, just a loved one in the waiting room. But from my perspective, this place runs like a well-oiled machine. I thought we would be in there for at least three hours, but we were out in 2 hours, and I didn't feel like they rushed anything -- they just knew what they were doing. From a patient's perspective: The nurses and doctors all took the time to explain the procedure, made sure to answer questions, and made sure you're comfortable. You get warm blankets, too. That's a nice touch. Everyone we encountered was friendly and professional. You could tell that they had everything under control, which puts a person's mind at ease. As for the waiting room: It's a little boring, so be sure to bring reading material or your laptop or what have you. They have free wifi, but you need to ask the person at the front desk for the password. There's free coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and there's a vending machine with snacks and beverages. There's also a water fountain with a water-bottle refilling station. There's one big TV, but it was on a weather channel. I brought my laptop with me to work while I waited, but we were in and out so quickly that I didn't have much time to get anything done! I like a medical facility that is orderly and gets you in and out in a timely manner.

She was my recovery nurse with an upbeat attitude and made me feel as comfortable as I possibly could be. She is extremely knowledgeable and set the pace for my attitude towards wanting to get healthy. My husband located this urgent care center that was actually open until 9pm and was near 86th and Michigan Rd. We ran over. It is a small place on the north side of 86th St. Very clean and accommodating. Dr. Khan was patient and very thorough. He told us exactly what we had (strep) and why we had it. He explained what medication he was prescribing and why. He told us where to go to fill the prescription and said that if we were going to go directly to the pharmacy he would wait (past his 9pm closing time) to make sure that the pharmacy didn't need to call him because of the narcotics prescription (Tylenol with codeine). He said they would bill our insurance and on our way we went. He was maybe the best urgent care doc either of us has ever seen. Dr. Khan told us that he used to work at the urgent care in Nora but he left and opened up this place on his own. Looks like he has a second location on W. 10th St. as well. We would highly recommend this clinic.

The office was closed on a Sunday night, but they actually took us in to see our daughter who was suffering from body aches, ear aches, coughing etc. The staff was very good, very nice. Physician was excellent. Very thorough and detailed at explaining everything that was going on. You could tell he is not a "cookie cutter" or "cookbook doctor" where I feel they don't think analytically but look up a typical cookbook recipe to fix the problems. You can tell the Doctor has extensive experience and his approach is individualized. My daughter who really liked the doctor and was very happy being there. Rare for a child to like doctors office. I am so grateful that they would help us even though they were closed, lights off. Grateful for Physician for his prescribed plan of treatment. Thinking about switching my personal physician to him.
