I've had only great shopping experiences here! As a first time mom to be, I had no idea about any of the baby things to buy. Luckily the staff here are SO knowledgeable and kind (and I think they may all be moms too?!?). They were extremely patient with me as I asked all my dumb questions and never pressured me to buy anything. They have store models of all the fancy strollers (uppababy, nuna, etc) and high quality cribs and high chairs. read more

Adorable little shop! The owners/employees are very knowledgeable and willing to answer whatever questions you have. They are also willing to order things for you or do research to find the right fit for you. The prices are a tad on the high side but Buy Buy Buy is just about the same. Personally, I would rather spend the money at a locally owned store rather than a chain, so we didn't mind spending a little bit more to support a local business. read more

I wish I could love this store. The staff really only seems interested if you're purchasing a large item. We've purchased many items here but will not be going back. We've bought two strollers, two car seats, shoes, toys, and books. The last visit was enough for my husband and I to not go back. We planned a visit to buy winter boots. We walked in and headed straight to the show area. We asked our toddler what boots he liked. We looked at them for about 15-20 minutes while 3 staff members talked about their outfits behind the counter. We looked at a few other things we were interested in. We decided to leave after about 30 mins in the store. One girl said "can we help you with anything"...as we're walking out the door. We were already frustrated and half way out the door. We called another store in the area from the car. They held his size and were very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. Overall- not sure I will ever go back to TLS. read more

Employees are very well educated on all the products in the store, the cost is a bit more than your regular baby store (buy buy baby) but the products are top notch, give you tutorials and help explain everything. read more

Neat little boutique. They have a lot of merchandise I've never seen before and the cutest clothes but I'll leave the $25 onesie for someone else to buy. In my opinion, items were way overpriced. This is our go to place for baby/kids stuff. Our favorites include shoes, boots, and sandals (they have tons of big kid options too!) and car seats! They have the most helpful staff in town and always have ideas regardless of price or age/preference of giftee. And they will gladly wrap your purchases in gorgeous wrapping paper for free! I LOVE THIS STORE! The greatest employees and the best products. Before we moved to Ann Arbor we would drive from Detroit to shop here. The staff goes above and beyond to help us each time. They have great product knowledge and have helped me with lots of different purchases. I have yet to regret a single purchase I've made with them (and with baby stuff you can waste a ton of money). TLS is definitely a one of a kind shop for babies and toddlers. They have cloth diapers, car seats and amazing learning toys and books. The stuff you find here is unique. Every time I've stepped foot in here I haven't left without buying something. They also do car seat checks for free if you bought your car seat from them and it's $20 if you bought it from somewhere else. I didn't get my car seat from them but have gone there several times for car seat checks because (I think) all the employees are certified car seat techs and they are usually pretty thorough with their checks. Almost all the employees have been helpful and just wonderful. I say almost because there is one employee (or maybe she's part owner with her superiority complex?) who just doesn't seem to value my business. It's the strangest thing. Every time I've asked her a question she acts impatient, agitated and rude. And every time this has happened I have considered not going back. It's noticeable that she fawns over and sweetly greets every customer but basically ignores us until we ask a question that she seems annoyed with. It's true we don't fit in the race and class categories that the store serves but this doesn't seem to faze the other employees. Regardless, we do love the store and most of the people associated with it, and will be going back. read more
