She is really in it to help promote creativity and expression through this art form with children and adults. My boyfriend and I plan to take Sewing 201 with her in the next few weeks and are truly blessed to have found an instructor that never puts us down when we make mistakes. She really is a wonderful problem solver that focuses on helping us grow our skills and if it wasn't for her teaching approach - I don't think I would love sewing the way I do. This is a awesome place to learn to sew.I have been coming here a year and Morrison has always been willing to work with my ideas I have. I have gone from not knowing how to work a machine to sewing a Christmas dress. Here I have made a apron , headband, purse and circle skirts shirts and Halloween costumes. I am so very lucky to have found such a great place. I would recommend this to anyone who is wanting to learn to sew or needs help with projects. I am giving this place a 1 star . Because they had good air conditioning and that is it. My daughter and I walked in there excited about taking some sewing classes, learning possibly from a friendly and nice staff and environment. We walk in and the woman with gray short hair , was very short with us and very abrasive. Looking at us as if we were invading her space . I wanted to leave after 5 minutes with this bitter , rude, miserable woman. But my daughter did not want to be rude. I will Never step foot in this place NOR will I recommend it to ANYONE, EVER. This woman should not be in this business with that demeanor and attitude towards us. We are latinas and we got a strong racist vibe from this person. My daughter and I shopped around for other options and found a Wonderful place . Where she will be accepted and where she feels welcomed. My mom and I walked into inquire about sewing classes and we were greeted in a annoyed manner by an older lady who was very rude and abrasive. She mostly answered our questions with a condescending and arrogant attitude; even my 12 yr old brother who was there with us, whispered to my mom "she's so mean and rude".Thank god I found Sew N Sew in Claremont and Rose who teaches classes is so nice and friendly, they offer the same classes at a cheaper price. read more

I have always wanted to have custom clothing that fits me properly and this is the place to go. Morrison is a master at her craft and when it comes to fashion she will give you her honest opinion. I went in to get a custom vest done and it fit so well that I came back for another vest and a tie to match. I had an idea of what I wanted and Morrison helped me bring it to life. Great custom work Great teachers and experienced staff Amazing customer service So many class options! The woman who works at the shop knows her stuff! She is a patient teacher and more than willing to work with you. She is willing to go above and beyond for each student at a more than fair price. I have also seen some of her custom work and it is always made so beautifully! With that said, I have had custom work done by the owner. It has always been completed with great quality. I was waiting for an estimate on a corset when one of the reviewers on here called, and I was able to overhear the conversation. Just because you do not get your way, does not mean you should ruin a great local business's reputation because you are not competent enough to understand that great quality cannot be estimated over the phone. If you are looking for custom-made work, then it is best to go and meet her at her shop so she can see what she has to work with. You cannot expect estimates on garments without the person seeing it before hand. Not to mention, it says it on the website that custom orders are not going to be taken over the phone because prices cannot be accurately given without seeing what is being worked with. That expectation clearly shows a lack of knowledge and pettiness. If you are looking for that, then you should go somewhere else for lesser quality. Was hoping to check this place out but they never call you back. Not all of the information for classes is on the website so i tried twice to get info by phone. Unfortunately, I haven't received a call back for either call over the last month so my search continues for a sewing studio. My husband very sweetly offered to stop by on his way home from work to get info but I don't want to go somewhere and invest my time and money when having me as a new customer is clearly not wanted. read more

I been trying to look for a place to learn how to sew find this place and i wanted to give it a try since i saw they have good prices for the classes, i call several times until i decide to leave a voice mail, waited couple days to see if i get a response back since i thought they were busy and maybe that was the reason why they haven't got back to me, but i guess they were not interested of calling back, decide to give it another try and when i did it went straight to voice mail give it try again and same so i guess not interested of receiving new clients, guess i need to look someone else. read more
